  1. WhiteSox247, thanks for the encouragement! Yeah, my knees been acting up, hope I don't hurt it during spring training. I'll tell you all the news If I have to miss opening day!
  2. Yeah, post away my friend! Could use the link, I am here as much as any website, so it would make things much easier for the lazy type like me!
  3. Hell yeah, my brother! That's what it is all about! Can I get an AMEN!
  4. I think you're pretty safe with that bet, buddy.
  5. I agree. It is the future against the present. I would guess a million to one that the White Sox will come out victorious, but it will be cool to see what Birmingham has to bring. Can't wait to see it!
  6. Favorite player of all time, I would have to say is Joe. Shoeless Joe. Can't go wrong with Shoeless Joe Jackson .
  7. Baseball America has said that if Jon Garland continues his skill and development consistently for a good 4-5 years, it is very possible that he can win the Cy Young award in the future. Do you agree with this statement, or do you think he won't even be a candidate? Tell me your thoughts people.
  8. Nice catch WiteSoxFan. When I looked at the post, I didn't see the mistake, but the numbers to me looked incorrect. Thanks for correcting the mistake. I should've looked at the stats like you did and solved the case myself. You have taught me a very valuable lesson in doing so.... don't do the work, let someone else do it for you! Thanks for the correction!
  9. I whole-heartedly sgree with you on this statement. Colon is an amzing pitcher, and doesn't have as big as a weight problem as Castillo did. Castillo was a fat ass, and was a terrbile pitcher to boot, there is a big difference between a tettible pitcher who is morbbidly obese, and a pitcher who is amazing, but a little over weight.
  10. Frank was bitter last season about many things, and you saw how that affected his game; he even sat out of the lineup for about a week. I think he knows as long as he is on the White Sox that he will be a DH. Konerko is the 1st Baseman for the White Sox and that isn't going to change for awhile. I don't think Konerko should get cocky about anything, because right now, Magglio is the leader of this team, offensively that is. I think as long as Paul and Frank know their positions, and where they stand in the line-up, there should be no confrentations.
  11. For everyone in the future, I should rephrase the poll question: Who is your favorite CURRENT White Sox Player. Ahhhhhh...better .
  12. Clujer, I'll agree with you on this statement, although I would like to see Sandy play more than 20-25% of the games this season.
  13. Royce Clayton was definetley not a good player while up at the plate. Although, while on the feild, he was one of the best defensive shortstops the White Sox ever had. If he had gotten better at the plate in the few years he was with the White Sox, I believe we would have kept him.
  14. right on my brother! (now who the hell is that in your avatar - I watch him make that great play day after day and have no clue who he is!) LAKERS SUCK GO BULLS GO Right on my brother. GO BULLS GO!
  15. KJ1832, just saw your post concearning my statement about Wunsch being a lefty-sharpshooter. He gave up a homer at the end of the season, I know. None the less he is still a lefty marksman. I apologise on behalf of Wunsch for not being perfect.
  16. God I am an idiot. I meant to hit Pauly in the pole, but hit 'other' instead. God, I am a dumbass! So, if my vote doesn't match up with my statement, my low IQ is to blame.
  17. I really like PK. I like his attitude toward the game, his enthusiasm, and his intensity on the field. He is also not a bad hitter, althoguh hus fielding could use some work. Konerko was a great pickup from the Reds and I am happy that he came here to the great city of Chicago.
  18. Clujer, I asked the question because last year, when Alomar was with the White Sox, he had all the playing time. Olivo is still a rookie and Almoar is a veteran. It's my opinion that Alomar would have more playing time, it's your opinon that Miguel Olivo will. I had just learned after I posted this from Rex Hudler that Alomar was signed to back up Olivo. If it were a battle for the position, I would have to go with Alomar, you would have to go with Olivo. Simple as that. No need to get snippy.
  19. My crappy computer isn't fast enough to load the site. It's a tragedy. Well just want someone to tell me what went down and what was talked about. E-Mail me what happened at [email protected]. Just put the subject as SoxTalk. Thanks whoever does it.
  20. Yeah, Bartolo Colon looks sharp in the black and silver. Then again... who doesn't look good in the black and silver? I don't know anyone who wouldn't!
  21. Thanks for accepting my apology people. And you all are right..... GOD BLESS THE SMILEY ICONS!! :fyou
  22. Jim (BigHurt4Evah), I've known you since I was five, but I will have to disagree with you here. I do agree with SoxHeads, however, in the fact that Willie does sound like an inviting player to have playing second, but D'Angelo has had more experience, also has speed, and plays good at the position. Willie may be exciting, and I like exciting players, but a player cannot win a starting role on his level of excitement alone.
  23. Koch should definetley stay in the closers role. That is what we are paying him for. When we are winning games in the 9th by 3 or less (4 in some cases), I expect to see Koch out there saving that game. Marte is an extremely good pitcher, no doubt, but he should stay in the set-up man role. He did good there when he set up for Osuna or Foulke. When Marte was a set-up man, he did great. He did great also when he was a closer for the 13 games or so he came in as. He came in as a closer because we did not have a set closer, Foulke wasn't doing hot at all last year, and him and Osuna switched off. Now we do have a set closer in Billy Koch, and since we do, I think the set-up man role is set now with Marte.
  24. I think Ordonez is the White Sox best hitter. Frank may have had better seasons then Maggz has had, yes, i know, but i believe that Maggz will develop and grow as a player even more and soon become at least the equivelent of Frank Thomas in his prime.
  25. This is a black day for baseball. Let his memory be carried on by his family and the Baltimore Orioel's clubhouse. He will be missed by the people and the fans on MLB. Let our prayers go out to his friends and family.
