I just want to say, I went to Comiskey Park on a field trip yesterday, and OH MAN!!! What a beautiful ballpark we have here in sweet home Chicago. Stepping in the dugout where Thomas, Ordonez, Buerhle, or Konerko had stepped.... OHHH what a feeling. Sorry, I'm not bragging, I just had to get that out !

What a whiney little bastard! Boo f***ing hoo! We payed good money for Big Bad Bartolo and he is crying about not getting Kenny Rogers!? Well KW, we can't have all the money in the world. Instead of crying about what we do not mave, we should be praising what we do have in acquiring Koch and Bartolo.

I whole heartedly agree. The 2000 season was wonderful. 97 games; great! Then again, we lost in the playoffs to the Mariners 3 games to none. I want to see us in the championship game (AL that is) or I will not be very happy with the season. Well, I will be happy if they get to the playoffs, but I will be DISAPPOINTED if they don't make it to the ALCS.

Ooooooooo, I'm sure Vizquel is scared (cough*sarcasm*cough). He won't be bothered with a threat like, "I'm going to hit him." If anything, I hope Vizquel reads that and the next time they are facing each other, the Indians have a man on thrid, Mesa chcuks one at Omar, and Vizquel jumps out of the way, causing the ball to miss him and roll to the stopper in the back, scoring the man on third. Ohhhhh man, would that be a laugh !!!!

Yes, that does make sense (I don't like it though ). And at this point, it's probably more important for Frank to work in the cage than it is facing some scrubby AA or AAA pitcher. He's been in the league 12 years, so I suppose he doesn't need a full ST schedule to get ready for the season. Yeah, Frank needs to work on contact hitting right now. He has all the power in the world, and he knows how to use it. He needs to start racking up hits like he did in 2000, and batting practice will do just that. I am not expecting another year out of Frank with him batting .343, but I'd like to see him batting his career average of .314 again.

lol well i wouldnt say sucks but i would say hes not very usefull...at least not with the options we have available to us now......and the union rep thing.. yep bye bye....he made the s*** list with that move lol...............kw dont like the reps..........lol How could you say he is not very useful? I know he is not a premiere reliever, but he can pick off lefties like none other. He's not one you put up against righties often, but when you got a tough lefty against your team, you put Wunsch in and BAM! Hopefully, the batter will be gone. If anyone, I'd choose Wunsch as the sharpshooter to pick off a lefty that is threating the White Sox in a game, although Marte is very tempting as well.

Joe Valentine, Mark Johnson and Keith Foulke
WhiteSoxPride3035 replied to KipWellsFan's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Foulke is looking pretty good so far this season, but he isn't at all what Koch is. Poor Mark Johnson, too. As much as I never liked him while he was on the White Sox, I almost feel bad for him since he is doing that bad.....almost ! -
Wow, just seeing those three go for three innings (one a pitcher) is dizzying. Those three could take out a ton of lefties, not to mention a few rigthies along the way. These three super southpaws will rock any team and whatever lineup they could come up with ........ Unless it is a lineup of complete righties !

Yeah, I'm not saying that concearining his W-L coulmn, I am just saying he won't have as much to back him up as he did in Texas.
-
Aside from that fact (thanks for 'em all Clujer ).... No one likes a tie, I know. It is preseason, though. We are not going to drive players into extra innings for basically practice. On the bright side of a tie, though, great comeback by the Sox to tie it back up.

As much as I don't like seeing him going to a divison rival, I don't believe Rogers will perform as expected in Minnesota as he did for the Rangers, if he goes to Minnesota. I mean, Rogers went 13-8 with a 3.84 ERA in 33 starts, which isn't bad, but it isn't good while you look at the offense. The whole year he was backed with Alex Rodriguez and Rafael Palmeiro, half of the year by Ivan Rodriguez, and like a quarter of the year by Juan Gonzalez. I mean going to a team like the Twin's, who have more power in their pitching than they do their offense. If Rogers signs with the Twinkies, I do not believe we will seem he perform as well as people would expect him to.

this is an omen that 2003 is CLee's gold glove year! Well..all kidding aside, he did make a very nice diving catch the other day on the WGN vs. the Cubs. He knows what he's doing out there sometimes. Lee is definately improving. The guys been working his butt off and I think we'll see great things out of him this year. Yeah, I am really expecting to see Lee break out this year. He is a good player, no doubt, and he has a lot of potential. I can't wait to see a great year out of El Caballo.

That's great news everyone. What I want to know, though, is where was she all this time?Someone please post a link, or just tell me what happened.

Very true. The only other guy the Sox really have is Rios. Having Rios in the outfield for about 2 months until Borchard is ready for the Majors. That would scare me a lot. I think the Sox are sitting very pretty with Lee in left for now.

You and me both. They mentioned it during the broadcasted Sox-Cubs game on Saturday. Anyone know anything about it?

Life as we know it is over........... Ha, just kidding! I guess we can use some other source for one weekend. It will be pure, unimagineable hell, but we can do it. -

ESPN is either on some narcotice cause they need to get their s*** straight. Mark isn't so dumb as to to turn down a 5 year dela when that is wht he wants most... a long term contract.

As much as I hate to say any player get injured, It will only make it easier for our White Sox to be assostiated with October baseball. Although, Johan Santana did pretty well last season when he appeared for the Twin's. Santana is good, but the loss of Milton will make it even harder fot the Twin's to be big contender's again this year.

What beautiful pictures !

Guess Klayton did get us back I don't think Clayton got back at the White SOx at all. I think for a player to get back at a team he was formerly with, he would have to make a play that would cost his team a game. Just because Clayton got 2 RBI's doesn't mean a thing. The Brewer's lost! He'll have to do a lot more than 2 RBI's to get back at the White Sox.

Hmmm...he's thrown 3 scoreless innings with 4 strikeouts. I know that the other lefties are doing well also, but I would think it's Kelly's job to lose -- so if he keeps this up, he'll be on the team. If he struggles...who knows. He is doing well in Spring Training and he fought to keep his job on the Sox pitching staff this offseason. I believe he will be on our list of relievers for opening day, but he will have to be exceptional to stay in the Majors with our newly added relievers like White and Gordon.

I asked a question earlier last month on who will win more games, Buerhle or Colon? I said Colon, who would win 23, and Buerhle would win 21. Even though that is only equal to 44 games won, I hope our 1 and 2 guys prove me wrong.
