But Fields absolutely mashes lefties which coincidentally is an area where we're pretty pathetic. He could have played 1B against lefties in a platoon role with Konerko/Swisher. Instead we acquired another guy who can't hit lefties.

Freddy Garcia with no arms is still a better big game pitcher than Vazquez. I was reading Vazquez has something like a 5.88 ERA over his last 10 starts. Not really something that's tough to beat.

I wonder if they'll put Griffey in RF? My guess is no.
