I say we hire Piniella as manager next year and give Ozzie a job like his son has. Keep the guys lose in the bench and be an interpreter. Sort of a motivator. So we give Ozzie 's son's job to Ozzie and his son as the official bat boy. I still want Ozzie to stay with this organization for a long time.

This is not a good idea. We can't just be throwing guys into that role. It's not easy to be a closer and you have to have a special mentality for that role. Duque should be used only in blow out games right now. The reason for Jenks' trouble has been the curveball. He's not locating it and is not having the confidence to throw it so they just sit on his fastball. Add to that Rowand has misjudged the ball twice this week with him on the mound. Even with his recent struggles with the curveball, I'd rather have Jenks be a one pitch pitcher and still be a closer instead of calling Hernandez in.

Its time to move Everett out of there. He was just not producing lately except for the homer against the Indians. I kinda like this move. Something had to be done at this spot. As for the pitching...6-1 last 8 games for Contretas with an era hovering at around 2.83 Let's get a W and turn it loose these last few weeks weeks.

I gotta agree with Ginger on the first post. And our three aces have not been pitching good and duque just plain sucks. Contreras has been the man winning his last 6 decisions and seeming to be the only quality SP in the month of Sept. all the way back to the beginning of Aug. Im also glad to see BMac is going to be getting his work which is a good maturing time for him too. I'm sure if he makes an even bigger impact he'll be in the rotation come next year.

I agree with eveyone who says not even close. AJ was trying to score and boone was lying on his belly and pierznski had to step on him or else he woulda fell. Tori's was sending us a message. Plus I think they were winning already and he would have been safe by a mile. The replay on boone was pretty funny though.

Jenks is a two pitch pitcher and after the first curve he threw he stuck to the heater and he was sitting on it. We should have gone with Politte in the 8th. Plus Marte has pitched 3 straight days now.
