  1. I thought we broke out of our slump?? Fortunately it's only one run........unfortunately our offense has looked anemic except for a handful of games this season.
  2. The answer should be blantantly obvious....PITCHING. Here's an extended answer though, last time I checked baseball was a game of adjustments......since last year our POTENT offense has not made ANY adjustments what-so-ever. If baseball is a game of adjustments....and our hitters are not adjusting.....how does that make Greg Walker look? It's amazing how dangerous our whole team could be if the main focus was base hits, and hitting the ball to the opposite field......however every guy on the team continues to turn and burn and try for the three run homer. The answer is so painfully obvious, it kills me that he is still our hitting coach when we have a league worst .220 average, 24 points below Texas.
  3. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ May 13, 2007 -> 07:05 PM) The Texas Rangers are hitting as bad as we are. Are you watching the same thing. Lets see the whitesox had a horrible April and their May is worse. The Rangers had a bad April, and have picked it up in May. One team shows no sign of life, while the other team has started to pick up showing that one month was the odd ball. One team has an entire team hitting rotten, while the other team has key players hitting well, and others showing signs of life in May. Texas Rangers April/May Team BA April .235 May .262 Key Contributors to the Rangers team. Notice their sluggers are starting to heat up as a group. Kinsler .298 1.042OPS In May .091 He has gotten worse. Sosa .244 .855 OPS In May .364 .948 OPS Texeria .231 .868 OPS In May .409 1.230OPS Blalock .247 .678 OPS In May .333 .959 OPS You're right. The Rangers are hitting .244, while we are hitting .220. We are last in the American League, we're so bad it's almost comical. For christ's sake Kenny, end this already.
  4. After todays performance I wouldn't mind Massett getting sent down. I'd actually like him to get a chance to start. Put him in the rotation down in Charlotte. If Ryan Sweeney gets sent down, it shows that Ozzie Guillen has complete control over this club. Ryan Sweeney needs to stay up on this Major League roster, he's pretty much the only spark in this anemic line-up.
  5. Anything Ryan Sweeney does from this point on is a bonus to me. Where the hell are the JD's? Konerkos? Crede? The veterans of this team look like lost rookies just called up from the big leagues......while our lone rook in the line-up looks like an polished patient veteran at the plate. Kinda funny......and kinda sad. Their stats at this point are unacceptable.....their approach is even MORE unacceptable. It seriously looks we have no game plan up there what-so-ever, and that is unacceptable more than anything else. Every player is swining for the fences. We're very fortunate to be over .500 with this anemic offense. Unforunately it appears we will continue to beat this horse to death, that is until we start hitting.....or....until Greg Walker is fired.
  6. Before we implode this team.......let's fire Greg Walker. This offense is so bad, it's not even funny. If we continue to struggle offensively, THAN it's time for a white flag trade.
  7. Way to see some pitches Rob. Jesus Christ. a game under .500 now, but we shouldn't panic yet right?
  8. F*CK! This wouldn't be a problem if our offense could actually score more than 2 f***ing runs a game. SCORE DAMMIT.
  9. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ May 1, 2007 -> 09:57 PM) Wow...the team is only 3 games out and the pitching has been fantastic. This team would be running away with things if the offense was performing so I think you are greatly over-reacting as far as the whole .800 ball. That said I want the offense to pick up because it can get really frustrating for the pitchers (and you could see them blow up eventually) if they always have to throw shutouts to win. You may think I'm overreacting, but I'm not. You have 3 VERY good competitive clubs in front of you. If we continue to hit like we are this week, we are in a deep hole with only two weeks into May. I'm not saying it's going to happen, I'm saying it COULD happen. I'd rather not take that chance.
  10. At this point in time we've been patient enough. Let's face it, we're not in a division where we can sit back and relax. We are in a highly competitive division, and if we continue to hit like we are...we are going to be 6+ games out within the next couple of weeks. It's time for a change, otherwise we're going to have to end up playing .800 ball for three months to make the post-season. ( A la Minnesota Twins)
  11. It's time for Greg Walker to go. I know we're missing Jim Thome, but this offense has just been awful. Coming into tonight we are hitting a collective .225 as a team...last in the AL. Not only that, our approach at the plate has looked pathetic literally every game. I haven't had the opportunity to catch tonights game, but whatever happened to shooting the ball the other way? It's time to get some new blood in our dugout.
  12. Where on earth did you hear a rumor like that? Delgado is not going anywhere. Book it.
  13. We'll be fine. As long as Thome and Dye hurry back......
  14. Can we start calling for Greg Walker's head now? This is pathetic.
  15. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Apr 15, 2007 -> 12:15 PM) Solid job by Jose, really with what the defense has done a run was bound to score there. Telling the offense to wake up isn't working so how about... Keep sucking offense. Reverse Psychology eh? I like it!!!
  16. GOD DAMMIT. Ozzie needs to rip these guys new assholes like he did to our pitching staff...........this is disgraceful.
  17. Wow...this team doesn't have a f***ing clue.
  18. Just keep swinging for the fences boys.....
