  1. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 21, 2008 -> 11:10 PM) Some douchebag Cubs fan at work today kept replaying the Len Kasper calls on all of the homers in the 4th inning. He was doing this for 20 minutes, and had it as loud as humanly possible. I love when Cub fans go out of their way to boast. I heard it from nearly every Cub fan during the 2003 playoff run....I had my revenge later that month when I came to school on Halloween dressed as Steve Bartman.
  2. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Jun 21, 2008 -> 11:06 PM) Our nuts are on the line, that's what. The Cubs will have big bragging rights. If the Cubs were doing bad, this would be better because then we could say "Yeah, but you still suck". But no, they are going to sweep us, AND be a lot better than us. No way we sweep them at home, so this game is everything. I'm sorry.........but how is this game EVERYTHING? Maybe I'm delusional...but I can't quite grasp this concept. So if we lose this one game tomorrow it means that we miss the post-season? Please. Take a deep breath, calm down....you're going to make it through the next 24 hours...I promise. Don't get me wrong, I don't want to get swept by the Cubs...none of us do. A lot of other posters in this thread talk about how Cub fans talk hamburgers.....I hope most of you realize that most Cub fans have the baseball IQ of a deaf and blind pig. If you can't shut them up chances are you're either not trying very hard, or just need more material. These are the people that created insulting and racist t-shirts, that hold up giant "W" flags and posters to let the frat boys and mindless skanks aware of their victory, and how could we forget that these are the people that showered the field with trash when AJ hit a go ahead three run homerun two years ago. Remind them of Cesar Izturis's crotch grab last year, how their stadium reeks of urine, and how all of them used to worship Sammy "rum bottle" Sosa. 90% of Cub fans are classless and clueless. Congratulate them on their 100 years of success, remind them of Bartman, and give them the finger. It's far too easy. So chill. Thanks.
  3. QUOTE (DBAH0 @ Jun 17, 2008 -> 08:57 AM) They fired Rick Peterson also the esteemed pitching coach.Players such as Delgado have massively underachieved. Minaya deserves at least some of the blame for signing aging injury prone players such as Alou. Bingo. Trading for Santana helped...but he did nothing to address their pathetic bullpen. Their bullpen is one of if not the worst in baseball. When you have such a weakness like that, it's the GM's job to do everything possible to fill that hole. Omar didn't.
  4. QUOTE (Brian @ Jun 15, 2008 -> 03:18 PM) Trying to get into scoring position with 2 outs after getting on to lead off the inning. Didn't have a problem with the attempt. Blame Thome for sucking and Crede for a douche like AB. I like the idea...but not with Jermaine Dye. Watching him run in right field is painful in itself. You're right though, at least Ozzie is trying to make something happen. We need this win.
  5. QUOTE (Frankensteiner @ Jun 15, 2008 -> 03:16 PM) Why do Nick Swisher, Alexei Ramirez, Pablo Ozuna, and Brian Anderson play multiple positions? 1B isn't rocket science. For a guy that has his problems at 3B and in left field it is.
  6. I thought I heard Getz was playing some outfield...is that true? Dye CS....wonderful.
  7. Swear. "safe by 7 or 8 feet."
  8. Farmer is saying that he was safe by 7 feet..... Minnesota now leading Milwaukee 2-1.
  9. Time to start praying for a three run homer....
  10. QUOTE (Brian @ Jun 15, 2008 -> 02:03 PM) Ridiculous. Lift and pull on the first pitch. I'm sure that's Walker's mentality.
  11. Take some pitches, work some counts...AND SCORE SOME DAMN RUNS.
  12. How many pitches did Cook throw to our four batters that inning?
  13. Dear Kenny: Please take Uribe out of Ozzie's toy box. This team once again looks like they don't even have a plan at the plate.....besides swing at every pitch.....
  14. I'm disgusted. Fire Greg Walker. This team doesn't have a clue at the plate.
  15. New York by far has the worst group of media members. Based on personal experience, I've only met a couple of writers that weren't complete d!cks. Mike and the Mad Dog are as intolerable in person as they are on the radio. The Sun Times is very close to being the New York Post. Both are tabloids.
  16. Does this team even have a plan at the plate? (Besides swining at EVERY pitch?) What a joke.
  17. Sad. Take some pitches. Jesus. How does Greg Walker have a job...it's staggering.
  18. Thome is horrendous....just horrendous. Looks like another 1-2-3. I hope I'm wrong.
  19. QUOTE (Heads22 @ May 24, 2008 -> 03:48 PM) I don't see how anyone can defend Greg Walker. Me either. I've wanted him gone since the second half of 2006. Fire him already Kenny. Our pitching is outstanding, we should be up 7 games up by now.
