  1. I'm tired of saying it. Greg Walker has no business still having a job.....along with Uribe....Ramirez needs to go to AAA. Who the hell is in charge in the front office?
  2. Greg Walker sucks....this team sucks...and I have the flu on top of it. What a fantastic day it has been so far.
  3. I'm going to say this and this only.....fire Greg Walker. I can't take this anymore. How does he still have a job when a team hits .280 in 2006, and then hits .246 for 2007, and now are hitting .241. That's horrible. Fire him Kenny.
  4. Positive thought: We're still in first place.......which doesn't make me feel THAT much better.
  5. I'm listening to the Twins feed on XM....if I hear a promo about the "All you can eat seats" again I'm going to punch my roommate in the throat.
  6. Totally unrelated....but I can't wait until they implode this piece of **** stadium.
  7. Gross...that does it for me. I'm outta here. I can't stand listening to this anymore. That and I have finals to study for.
  8. This offense just flat out sucks.....Ugh.
  9. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 28, 2008 -> 06:14 PM) It's cold out....of course the Sox won't hit well. blah.
  10. The finger can be pointed at many things if we lose this game. If you strand 12 runners on base you don't deserve to win. One thing that always irritates me is that we always struggle bunting with men on base. It drives me crazy. It's a fundamental part of the game, yet on our team it's a fundamental flaw.
  11. QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Apr 26, 2008 -> 12:08 PM) Walk thinks this is lob league and right field is out. I've wanted Greg Walker fired since 2006. I can't remember the last time we went to the opposite field with any consistency.
  12. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 26, 2008 -> 12:03 PM) I hate our TV announcers on deep fly balls. Farmer thought it was gone as well. He apologized to the listeners.
  13. QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Apr 23, 2008 -> 07:55 PM) This team has been a .500 team for the last week or so. No hitting + bad pitching = 2007. If we go into this perfect storm s*** Walk needs to go. I've been wanting him gone for the past two seasons. Our approach to the plate hasn't changed one bit. The only difference is that SOME of our players are being more patient. How Uribe is still starting is beyond me. The guy SUCKS. If anything bring him in after we have the lead for a defensive substitution. That's it.
  14. The same umpiring crew that had problems opening day nearly just screwed the Mets royally......Did you guys in Chicago get that update yet?
  15. This is the exact reason that baseball needs a neutral commissioner. The fact that the commissioner is voted in by the owners of the 30 teams, and then determine his salary around 15 million is a joke. The owner should also be held responsible for the steroid era as well. They knew this was going on, and what did they ask Selig to do? Turn his head.
  16. His stock is still very low right now. Keep him til the trade deadline, hopefully he'll have a great first half of the season. Then we can get a boat load for him.
  17. Let's take a step back for a minute here....Ambiorix Burgos has NASTY stuff and is only 23. He may be injured this year, but the Mets have basically penciled him in as the closer for the future. It's too early to say who the winner of this deal is. Obviously Bannister is having a great year, but let's also keep in mind he was injured for a majority of the 2006 season, so I can see why Omar Minaya pulled the trigger.
  18. QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Aug 25, 2007 -> 10:28 PM) Why was 2005 worth years and years of hypothetical mediocrity? I fully believe that you have five years after a title before you can complain about not having a title, but "once is enough for me" is not a winning attitude. The goal, and idea, should be that we can compete for a World Series title each and every year. More than that, the organization should make decisions that would facilitate such competitiveness each and every year. Ah yes the 5 year grace period. I've heard this before too but I'm not buying it. Hell, look at Yankee fans. They expect a World Series trophy every year. (greedy bastards.) This team went from 90 wins last year to a 90-100 loss season this year. This teams fate was sealed in the off-season when Kenny failed to upgrade our bullpen and sign a better outfielder than Dana Erstad.
  19. QUOTE(greg775 @ Aug 25, 2007 -> 08:29 PM) Not embarrassed to be a Sox fan, but you have to be "embarrassed" at the way the Red Sox have owned our boys the last couple days. I mean, what other word can you use but "embarrassing" to describe their horses*** effort. Obviously I'm embarrassed with the last few games, they've been especially hard to stomach. However embarrassed to be a Sox fan takes it to an entire different level.
  20. QUOTE(Wanne @ Aug 25, 2007 -> 07:00 PM) It is embarrassing. I'd call up whoever...and let them play it out. These guys are a bunch of passionless wussies. I honestly don't care if this entire team was gutted except for Mark, Danks, Bobby and Fields. Everybody else can pretty much go take a flyin leap into oblivion and start from scratch...and that includes all the front office and coaches. This is the first time in my life I'm embarrassed to say I'm a Sox fan. Of course I always will be...but goddamn. You're embarrassed to be a Sox fan? That's too upsetting to hear. We're having an awful, horrendous, no good, very bad year, but I will NEVER ever go as far as saying that I'm embarrassed to be a White Sox fan. That should be the same for you as well.
  21. Kenny: Please take Alex Cintron out of Ozzie's toolbox. Jesus Christ.
  22. If the Sox and Comcast are smart, they will find some way to fit Stony in as a regular in the booth. I'd have no problem if there were three broadcasters.
