  1. Don't listen to Mike North. He's a blundering idiot who has no idea what he's talking about. However if you like listening to pessimism go right ahead and tune the dial to The Score. :fyou North. CWSOX45
  2. I seriosly think we should keep Rauch or Diaz up here if not both. I'd like to start them in the pen this season, and have them start later down the road. Just like we did with Mr. Buehrle. CWSOX45
  3. Yeah. My guess is that they'd send down Darrensbourg. I'd like to see Diaz stay up here and work out of the pen. CWSOX45
  4. I think you might be on to something Jim. However Kenny did say that Davis would be on the major league club, but maybe he might move him in this deal with Atlanta. Didn't he do that last year with that minor leaguer we got in the Jimenez trade? Scott Dunn or something? Should be interesting to see what happends. CWSOX45
  5. Interesting statement..... I was seriously pondering that yesterday when Felix was pitching well with Sandy behind the plate. What's our record when Mo called the game compared to other catchers? I'd do the research but I'm too lazy! As for our possible catching solution...I know this is just out of the blue but.... JASON KENDALL? CWSOX45 (damn someone already beat me about trading for Kendall....)
  6. I'd do it. That's a pretty nice looking deal right there. Levine said the other day that the deal would consist of 6 to 7 players before it was done. CWSOX45
  7. Here are Cruz's numbers: IP H ER HR BB K ERA WHIP AVG 31 33 13 2 15 31 3.77 1.55 .273 Not too shabby. However he's no Marte, but has a ton of potential. CWSOX45
  8. I agree. Screw this deal if Marte is involved. Marte and Shingo are a killer combo right now. One of the best late inning duo in the majors. CWSOX45
  9. Someone on WSI said that Levine has reported that the Braves were taking a look at Marte....while the Sox are looking at Juan Cruz.... I don't want to give up Marte, our bullpen is way too fragile already. CWSOX45
  10. WTF??? This is some crazy s***! It has to be Maggs, who else could help Atlanta right off the bat that they would be interested in? Not to mention the fact that Kenny also said earlier in June that he wants to get another starter without giving up someone on the Major League Roster..... CWSOX45
  11. Yikes! That's our Brando. Obviously you make some stellar points, some that I was not aware of. So I really can't counter with much other than this: I know Rowand is a great player, I've always felt he was underrated. He's a solid ballplayer, and is good defensively. However I can only imagine how solid we'd be if we had Andruw in center. You also made a statement that Andruw Jones is lazy, and is fatter than in previous seasons, and doesn't give a damn because of his contract? Is it possible that being with a new team, and having a manager like Ozzie COULD light a fire under his ass? As for re-signing Maggs, I don't think he wants to stay here even if the Sox did make him a solid offer. Even though he says he does, however I just can't see it happening. CWSOX45
  12. See this is what is wrong. Most people just look at a player's offensive numbers, and by that determine if he sucks or not. Do you have any idea how many runs Jones has saved for the Braves this year? With him in center our defense improves DRASTICALLY. We know he can be an offensive threat too, and I seriously all he needs is a chance of scenery. CWSOX45
  13. We were also supposed to get him when he was with the Giants according to Boston Gammons. I think it was Konerko or Lee for Ortiz. CWSOX45
  14. Levine says: The Braves are interested in Ordonez. Both sides are scouting each others players, Atlanta scouts were here for the past three days. Sox have scouts in Baltimore. Deal that could be expanded to 6 or 7 players if it goes through. CWSOX45
  15. Jim they're talking to Chris Bodin right now in the Cubs clubhouse. They say Levine is talking to Andy McPhail... CWSOX45
  16. It just shows how desperate we are for some new players to give this team a spark it needs. Kinda sad... :headshake CWSOX45
  17. Levine on ESPN 1000 coming up now. CWSOX45
  18. Bruce Levine on next in the White Sox clubhouse. Hopefully he'll shed some light on the subject. CWSOX45
  19. I see where you're coming from. He has struggled a lot in Atlanta this year. However I'd just trade for his glove. Any offense he provides would be great, and who knows maybe a change of scenery would do him some good. CWSOX45
  20. We'd still have Rowand in the outfield. Our outfield would look like this from left to right: Lee/Jones/Rowand or Lee/Rowand/Drew Rowand played right field his entire career in the minors. Willie Harris would than continue to platoon with Valentin and Uribe. Much like in the beginning of the season. CWSOX45
  21. I understand that. That portion of my post was directed at other posters. I just kinda gelled it all into one post. CWSOX45
  22. I was responding to another poster that stated that our biggest need was: A LEFT HANDED BAT. This post was not made out of the blue, but in response to another poster. CWSOX45
  23. We don't need one. Look at our offensive out-put. I understand you want Drew to balance out our line-up, but I'd rather have Jones. I don't understand what's so hard to understand about that. Look I love J.D. Drew, but I don't think Kenny should take a chance on him because of his previous injuries. Also he's a Scott Boras client as another poster mentioned. If he's a Boras agent there is no hope for signing him to a long term deal. Plus we still have until July 31st, there are cheaper options out there than Drew. The Braves just acquired Drew this off-season, and gave up the highly touted Wainwright for him. I don't think they'd give him up that easily and demand more than Rauch and Maggs, possibly even Sweeney, Anderson, Borchard etc. In my opinion if we want another left handed bat we look to trade with Arizona. Steve Finley would be a perfect fit for this team, and in my opinion would come much cheaper. CWSOX45
  24. That's a huge risk. He's been injured most of the time he's been in the majors. If Schuerholz gives me a option between Drew and Jones I take Jones hands down. CWSOX45
