Okay rally time, maybe someone should go smash some Cleveland Dairy Queen hats?? CWSOX45

In the month of May we are a bunch of clowns. GOD I HATE THIS MONTH! CWSOX45

So what the hell are we going to do for the Twins series? I don't feel comfortable throwing Diaz out there against the Twins.....sigh.... CWSOX45
-
Was that in 2001? I don't mind giving him another shot, but I like Diaz. He just has to learn to locate his pitches better. Than again I don't know if we can afford to give him another start against the Twins. Why didn't Garland pitch tonight? CWSOX45

When is the last time this team has had a record above .500 in the damn month of May? This month sucks, even when we won 95 games in 2000 we were a game under .500 Is it June yet? CWSOX45

I agree, let Willie play centerfield. It's stupid to keep moving those three in and out of the line-up. CWSOX45

Here's the hourly forecast from weather.com for Cleveland. http://www.weather.com/outlook/events/spor...d=132083&epc=be Hawk is right, they will most likely wait until 8 o'clock eastern time. The forecast is partly cloudy until 10 where more scattered storms are expected. CWSOX45

ATTENTION OZZIE, KW AND THE REST OF YOU STOOGES

A few points.... We look identical to the last series we had in Minnesota. Everyone was trying to be the hero. All of our guys are swinging for the damn fences, you know the result. 12-15 pop-outs a game. It makes me wish we didn't have that damn 15 run game in Baltimore, whenever we do slug the s*** outta the ball we go into slumps it seems like in the early part of the year. What the hell is up with the damn month of May? Even when we went to the post-season in 2000 we still finished the month of May a game under .500....IS IT JUNE YET? Finally, that Konerko for Perez deal looks good now....s***! CWSOX45 -
After Saturday nights game I went to Dairy Queen. There I saw four teenagers, two wearing Sox hats doing something strange. These guys were purchasing the Minnesota Twins hats (used for the ice cream) and were jumping on them smashing them into peices. I asked one kid why they were doing it, he said "Because we're frustrated and trying to reverse the Sox luck" Weird explanation, but if the Sox start beating the Twins, I might start doing it for every team the Sox play..... YASNY, you're not the only one to notice this observation. I can only hope the Sox get out of may with a .500 record. Don't the Twins get hot in May every year too? Not good, considering they've won....4 in a row now? CWSOX45

Amen. The Sox NEED to win these next two. I don't care how early it is, we have to keep pace with the Twins. As far as I'm concerned we're VERY fortunate to take the last two of three from Baltimore. This team is just not hitting, the next two days will be a major test of character. CWSOX45

I just looked at weather.com. No rain in the forecast after 6. Looks like we'll get this one in!! GO SOX!!! CWSOX45

I'm also leaving in 20 minutes for the park. Time to kick ass. CWSOX45

Sure, re-sign him in the off-season. But not for 5 million dollars. Also make sure he knows that he'll be a left hander off the bench. Uribe and Harris are ready to play up the middle. If Jose can't accept that it's time for him to go elsewhere. CWSOX45

I'm hoping the rested well on this day off and go out and kick ass in front of a home crowd. Also just to let everyone know Toronto won again tonight, 9-3. Seems like we just caught them at the wrong time, and playing like s*** won't help either... CWSOX45

Tonite was Diaz's night to start, can anyone verify that Rauch actually did make a spot start tonight for Diaz? CWSOX45
-
Haha....you're kidding right? I've already seen a drastic improvement in small ball thanks to Ozzie this year. So we sucked in Toronto, big deal! Nothing was working in Toronto, s*** we couldn't even get a sacrafice bunt down. Baseball is like that, we're going to get swept. In 2000 we won 95 games and were swept by the Royals at Kauffman that year. We probably got swept in another series. All I know is that we have 132 more games left. Now is not the time to give up. Those walks came in bunches. The two Baltimore games etc. I hope Billy can get it under control, we really need him down the stretch. CWSOX45
-
That's bulls***. I want Diaz dammit!! CWSOX45

One word: DOME. Have we ever played well in a damn dome? Between facing Minnesota and Toronto in their domes we have just sucked. I actually don't know our previous record in domes, but it would be interesting to see nontheless. CWSOX45

So far in this series our offense has looked like s***. Than again maybe Toronto is finally playing up to their capabilities. We know Toronto is not going to finish last in their division. Batista was good today, tomorrow we got Miller. If we don't score some runs off of him than I think it's time for Ozzie to start b****in these guys out. CWSOX45

Hey guys. I was reading in the paper this morning about how much the middle of our line-up has struggled. Thomas, Lee, Konerko and Crede all went 1-14 yesterday. However besides our big boppers going 1-14 we almost pulled off another win. To me the Sox are not playing solid baseball right now. We're simply not hitting, but we're still sitting at the top of our division. I feel extremely optimistic to what this team can do once they get it all together. Once we start hitting, I honestly feel that we will run away with this division. CWSOX45 Oh, and I almost forgot to mention, that we usually havent been a team that gets off to a good start, we usually start kicking some ass when the weather heats up in June and July. Hopefully the trend continues in 2004.

Hey just as long as Uribe stays in the line-up everyday. This kid is unreal right now. Just as long as Uribe is playing and if we platoon Jose and Willie I'll be happy. CWSOX45

I agree. A couple of years ago Borchard's name would have been the first mentioned in deals with other teams looking to add young promising players. Just goes to show you that "can't miss" prospects don't always work out. Don't get me wrong, I still have faith in Joe. I think he can turn it around, and hopefully will be a great hitter on the Southside for a long time. CWSOX45

I think it's time to deal Borchard, our farm system is already loaded with outfielders. I don't know how much we could get in return for him though. CWSOX45
