  1. Not to mention the Twins have played more games than us, so we have time to gain on them when they're not playing...jesus you'd think we're 10 out with the way some of these drama queens are acting. I say the Twins have a really tough time with their August schedule. CWSOX45
  2. You're right...now if it was something like....9...like our neighbors on the northside I'd be a little more upset. CWSOX45
  3. The people that are giving up now are the same people that gave up on them when they lost 2 out of 3 at the Cell earlier this year, the same people that gave up on them when we lost 3 of 4 to Oakland. It will continue to happen until the Sox shut them up, or the Sox don't make the playoffs. Either way, if you're gonna stand by the Sox than stand firm....if you're faith in them changes like the direction of the wind...then you are no Sox fan. CWSOX45
  4. Hey guys. I've been paying a lot more attention to minor league baseball of late considering I've been interning for the Kane County Cougars. Here's what I want to ask you guys. If you could take 9 position players, a starter, and a closer in all of the farm systems who would you chose and why? P.S. Remember the name Jairo Garcia, he was called up to AA. He's supposedly the next great closer and is expected to be up by the end of the year for the A's. CWSOX45
  5. How serious are the talks between the Sox and Zona for Bautista? I'd sure love to have him on the Sox, just as long as he's cheap. CWSOX45
  6. I am a huge Willie Harris and Juan Uribe fan, but at this point we need more a more stable player in the lead-off position. Considering the depth the Orioles have at second one ought to be available. While trying to get Roberts or Hairston, Kenny should ask about acquiring a reliever as well. I know that Baltimore has a pretty weak bullpen, but a couple guys the Sox could try and steal from Baltimore would be John Parrish or B.J. Ryan. I don't know any of the contract status of these players, but it was just an idea I thought off the top of my head. CWSOX45
  7. Pavano would be a free agent next year, am I right? Same with Benetiz? What does Florida want? As far as I'm concerned they are still very capable of winning that division. CWSOX45
  8. No in for Detroit is going anywhere guys. Detroit is only 4 games back after tonight. If I am Dombrowski I'm looking to get another guy or two and make a run at this thing. Seriously how could you not be positive about your chances if you're a Detroit fan? Minnesota and the Sox look like crap, and the Tigers played a pretty solid series against the Yanks. These 19 games with Detroit won't be easy. CWSOX45
  9. I know it's early, I just thought it was interesting. Seriously, when was the last time you could say the word "White Sox" and "Wildcard team" in the same sentence. CWSOX45
  10. Right now the Sox are only 2 games out of the wildcard. I'd be happy if this years wildcard came out of the central division. CWSOX45
  11. I haven't heard any rumors of late about the Sox making another deal, which leads me to believe that one is right around the corner. Usually when there is nothing to report Kenny pulls the trigger..... At least I hope I'm right... CWSOX45
  12. To be honest, as of right now I'll take Diaz over Schoeny. He's a young guy that will only get better if we let him pitch at the major league level, than again I don't think we can afford to do that in the middle of a pennant race. I say deal Schoeny and package him in a deal for another starter. CWSOX45
  13. Since Schoeny's comment about the bullpen this team has gone 0-5. I don't know if it's directly related, but Ozzie's comments back may have taken focus off the team. If he is the reason, trade his ass. I've had enough of him, he got rocked again tonight. If he's not willing to go to the pen he can kiss my ass. CWSOX45
  14. Jason. I highly doubt it will be Cotts, Seattle doesn't want pitching, they've got a TON of it in the minors. They're stacked, I think they're only interested in position players.... maybe Ryan Sweeney??? Than again, they still might want Cotts involved in the deal too. Or maybe.....it's going to be a three way deal with Magglio going to Atlanta, we would get Andruw Jones and Ortiz, and Seattle would get prospects from both the Sox and Atlanta.....This won't happen though, because it's just too good to be true. Too much speculation if you ask me, let's just get him. CWSOX45
  15. I'm pissed at Wrigley Field right now. It's gotta have the s***tiest drainage system in the league...if it even has a drainage system... :fyou Chewing Gum Field. CWSOX45
  16. Does Chewing Gum Field have a drainage system? That field looked like s***, I always remembered after rain delays at our place that the field didnt look half as bad as that. Another reason to love the Sox: Roger Bossard! CWSOX45
  17. I agree with your post, but I'm also sensing another trend.... Sox lost the first game the last time they played the Cubs....I don't think I need to remind any of you what happened the next two... CWSOX45
  18. I kind of wish Joe Carter was still in the booth, than they officially would be the worst duo in Chicago. CWSOX45
  19. I like him, but Gload scares the s*** outta me in the outfield. Everytime the ball is hit to him I want to cover my eyes.... CWSOX45
  20. What the hell was that lame "He Gawn" for the last out of the game. Get you're own sayings Chimp! :fyou :finger :fthecubs CWSOX45
  21. I don't give a s*** if Moronotti does give us props. He's an asshole that can't get his facts straight. He switches over and praises the White Sox after we beat the s*** outta the Cubs, but than as soon as the Cubs win two games in a row he's back praising the Flubbies, Corky Sosa, and how safe Chewing Gum Field is. So with that said..... :fyou Mariotti
  22. Southside Thanks for posting that, I didn't realize he was so bad defensively. CWSOX45
  23. I disagree. You said Ortiz was the WORST 21 game winner ever...first of all I don't care how much run support you get, if you win 21 games at the Major League level you can help any team. Second of all, you're right that he got a ton of run support last year. Which is exactly why he would be a perfect fit here with the Sox. Correct me if I'm wrong but aren't we leading the league in runs scored? Not to mention the fact that Atlanta's offense has struggled, especially guys like Chipper and Andruw Jones. Sure he may have a high E.R.A. for the playoffs, but hey he has been there before. How many starters on our team besides Garcia can say that? I say pull the trigger, a rotation consisting of Garcia, Buehrle, Loaiza, Ortiz and Garland is solid. Do it Kenny. CWSOX45
  24. f*** no. I am not a Valentin fan, but Jose is a huge part of this team. He keeps the guys loose, and is a team leader. We need him in this clubhouse, and not the whiny little b**** in Ortiz. CWSOX45
  25. I agree. If Kenny can somehow manage to get Estrada, Ortiz, and Jones it will be one hell of a deal for the Sox. In fact I don't think it will happen because it sounds too good to be true. Sure we lose Maggs, but that improves our team even more than I could have possibly imagined. CWSOX45
