What are everyone's feelings on Everett? Am I the only one that DOES NOT want him back next year, or at least starting? I'd rather see Escobar get his shot than Everett or Gload, same goes with Anderson. CWSOX45

II'd love to see Berkman on the Southside. However he's lived in Texas pretty much his whole life, so I can't see him wanting to leave. CWSOX45

Butter, let's face it. The organization has fallen in love with Paul Konerko. He's our current team leader, he talks to the media the most, he's very marketable, he's a fan favorite etc... I could go on and on. I agree with you though. I'd rather see Konerko traded rather than Carlos Lee, and at this point who knows what they're going to do. In my opinion Konerko and Lee ARE the core of this team, both should be kept. Guys that need to go are Valentin, Grilli, both Alomars, Everett. Where have I got this from? Well it's been talked about 6,000 times here on Soxtalk. Either Konerko or Lee are getting traded according to most. Call it a hunch, but I have a feeling that the Sox will trade Carlos before even considering trading Konerko. CWSOX45

NO NO NO NO NO to Jose Guillen. I talked to an Oakland scout about him earlier this year, they said the guy is a complete asshole. He also said he's probably the biggest clubhouse cancer in the game today. Sure he's got a lot of talent, but Ozzie and he would clash for sure. CWSOX45

I agree changes need to be made, but I tend to disagree with most of your points. Trade Paul Konerko, D. Marte, and J. Garland to the Braves for R. Furcal, Juan Cruz, and J. Capellan. Sounds great for the Sox, but why would the Braves do this trade? There is no way they'll give up Jose Capellan, the guy is an absolute stud. They especially wont' give him up for Jon Garland, even though I'm sure he'd become a Cy Young winner with the Braves... Trade Crede and Borchard to DBacks for S. Hillenbrand, Choate, and Valverde Sure the D-Backs are rebuilding, but I think they'd be more interested in younger prospects. I can see Joe Crede going there, but Joe Borchard is worthless. I could see this deal happening if we gave them Crede, and a couple of our prized prospects. (McCarthy, Anderson, Sweeney) I'd love Jose Valverde, he'd strengthen our pen drastically. Sign Troy Glaus to about 8.5 mil a yr No thanks. He's another power hitter, I'm content with Lee, Konerko, and Thomas. I think we should go after Koskie, if not then try to trade with Cleveland to get Casey Blake. With the signing of Aaron Boone, the Indians will probably shop him. I know most of you are against trading within the division, but I don't think it's that big of a deal. Trade W. Harris, Chris Young and Tracey to the Angels for S. Shields (he can be a starter) No way do I want to trade Willie, Chris Young, and Sean Tracey to Anaheim for Scot Shields....I might only be willing to part with one of them....the key word being MIGHT. Sign Josh Fogg to one yr, 1.25 mil deal (he isnt great, but he's more reliable than our previous number 5 starters) No thanks.. There are a few guys I want the Sox to get during the off-season, most of them are not big names: 1. Vizquel, SS 2. Jones RF 3. Blake/Koskie 3B 4. Starting Pitcher 5. Two relievers, closer This would improve our team defense and getting guys on base, I'm willing to give Willie the shot at starting the season at second base and leading-off. If he doesn't do well then hopefully Kenny will acquire a lead-off man at the trade deadline....not named Roberto Alomar. 1. Harris 2B 2. Vizquel SS 3. Rowand CF 4. Thomas DH 5. Lee LF 6. Davis/Burke C As for our rotation, we heard that Kenny says he wants to get another solid starter, the best ones out there I can think of being Pedro Martinez, Derek Lowe, Brad Radke and Carl Pavano. If the Sox sign Brad Radke I'll be ecstatic, but I'm not going to get my hopes up.

If I'm the White Sox I say "goodbye" to Carl Everett, I don't want Konerko or Lee traded. As for Borchard, he's shown us what he can do at the Big League level....he sucks. I'm ready to see Alex Escobar compete for a starting job next season in right field. CWSOX45

Whoa Whoa Whoa...hold on now. Why do we HAVE to trade either Paulie or Lee? I have not heard anywhere that the White Sox are looking to cut salary. Come on guys, we need both of these guys. We're already losing Magglio, if anything we should focus on trading Joe Crede. I know most of you don't want to give up on Joe, but everyone is saying he's become uncoachable here in Chicago. Joe is a no go. He's got a ton of potential, but I say we package him and send him elsewhere. Please don't give me that "WHAT HAPPENDS IF HE JUST EXPLODES LIKE ADRIAN BELTRE?!" bulls***. If he does, okay fine. That's a chance I'm willing to take. We need guys that can GET ON BASE. As much as I love Willie Harris and Juan Uribe, these guys just won't cut it. Omar Vizquel is out there, he's cheap. I also would like to see Jerry Hairston on this team. Even though Kenny said his main focus will be another starter, I don't think it would be wise to trade either of these two guys. Rowand, Lee and Konerko need to STAY in Chicago. Thomas isn't getting any younger, and one day he might just hang them up. I want Kenny to do whatever possible to keep these two guys in Chicago, unless of course trading one of these guys gets us a: lead-off man, starting pitcher, AND another quality arm for the pen. My List: Pavano-He is a must. We need another young stud in our rotation. Let Ozzie sweet talk him. Vizquel-Renteria? No way he's leaving St. Louis. Vizquel is everything we need. He gets on base, solid D, contact hitter, he's a perfect fit for this team. Sure he may not be a long term solution, but he's cheap! 3B-Casey Blake/Corey Koskie-The Indians will deal Blake this off-season, especially since they signed Aaron Boone. I don't buy that b.s. of you don't trade with division rivals. If he's on the block then snag him! Steve Bondurant got called up last week, he had 132 K's compared to 27 walks. Fellow Sox fans hear me out. I know this has been the roughest week for all Sox fans including myself, I know that most of you have given up on our Sox. I for one am not willing to raise the white flag, and here's why. Sure we are 5 games back of the Twins, we've played like a last place team over the past few weeks. However we still have two months left and we play the Twins 6 more times. Those next 6 games will determine who will get to wear the division crown. I have a gut feeling that the Sox will play with everything they've got in those last 6 games, if they don't they obviously don't have a pulse. Here is my second point: THE AL WILDCARD. You think I'm crazy? Fine. However look at the teams ahead of us, Anaheim, Texas, and Boston. These teams will end up playing each other while we get to face teams like Kansas City and Detroit. If we just take care of business against the weaker teams we will move up in the Wild Card standings. Some of you think Boston and Texas are just too good, I strongly disagree. Texas is lucky to be in the position they are, their starting pitching is mediocre at best, and I don't think Boston is that big of a threat. They may have Schilling and Pedro, but I think they have very little if any team chemistry. Keep the faith Sox fans, we have 2 more months left. I will be on board until we are officially eliminated. I started a thread a couple days ago saying how the Sox need to go after Brian Roberts or Jerry Hairston Jr. I also said that they should try and get Baltimore to throw a reliever in too. I could see this deal happening. CWSOX45
