Hey Steff, does your friend actually work in the front office with the Brew Crew? I'm not doubting you since this obviously sounds too good to be true. Otis has been pretty reliable with his info in the past, and I don't see him just pulling this out of his ass. It just doesn't make sense to me that the Brewers would part with a cornerstone of their organization, especially considering they have a solid infield on the way up to the Majors by late this year and next year. Not their entire team, they were missing two or three guys that in my opinion would make a difference. (Mauer, Koskie, Stewart) Other than that Jones,Douggy,Lew Ford, Hunter, Guzman and their pitching staff was still there. I'm happy we're actually not a couple games back considering the teams we've had to play lately. CWSOX45

Last I checked Billy Koch was the closer on this team, therefore if we have the lead in the ninth, (which we did) he gets the ball. It's as simple as that. CWSOX45

I was just curious about the contract of Giants starting pitcher Jason Schmidt. Since the Giants are currently 7 games out, is it possible that he gets put on the block? I'm not quite sure of his contract situation, but I was just wondering if the Giants would deal him by July 31st, especially since they have a TON of young pitchers. Thoughts? CWSOX45
