Wallace can hit--from last year's draft only Beckham and Smoak have had better pro debuts so far. This was a good trade for the A's.

There is a rumor going around another Sox board that Thompson is signed or will sign very shortly. Nothing to put much stock in, and don't shoot the messenger. The timing is curious and doesn't make a whole lot of sense if you ask me, but we'll see.

Harrell's peripherals aren't all that impressive, but a few more starts like today's an he might pitch himslef into a September call-up.

I thought Justin jones in the 8th round was one of our shrewder picks...hopefully we can get him as well as Thompson, Morgado, and the Williams/Goodwin longshots.

One guy is hitting .191, the other has 8 RBI in 124 ABs. Both are old. No thanks.

Morel made an error tonight...only his 3rd all year. Pretty incredible. He's been hitting better after a bit of a lull...hopefully he can keep progressing as a hitter because it sure would be nice to have that kind of glove in the infield.

If the Red Sox would trade Bucholz--and that is a big if--it would take at least one of the Beckham/Flowers/Danks group plus one or more of a Richard/Hudson/Omogrosso/etc. Despite his troubles in the majors last year, he is one of the top ten pitching prospects around. Josh Fields has zero trade value. None. Nada.
