  1. QUOTE(Greg The Bull Luzinski @ Jul 9, 2007 -> 03:44 PM) You seem to be implying that Iguchi should be signed so Fukodome or Ichiro will have friends, and the Japanese need their fellow countrymen for friends. Hmmm ... by this logic maybe Dye sucks this year because there are no other blacks on the team to be his friend. I think it's a language thing and not a race thing.
  2. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jul 9, 2007 -> 03:48 PM) Scary big and guaranteed to be twice as confusing as past versions. http://img169.imageshack.us/img169/2804/so...ctsheetubx9.jpg I'm sure there's more than a few errors in the sheet so let me know if there's anything that doesn't look right. LOL at Jose's DOB.

QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Jul 9, 2007 -> 03:40 PM) Pretty rare, though. Some would say the LOTR movies were better than the books. Any other suggestions, anyone? Movies better than the book (for those who have seen/read BOTH). Although I haven't seen the movie or read the book, I heard the film is slightly better. http://tinyurl.com/2zksvn
  4. QUOTE(Sonik22 @ Jul 9, 2007 -> 02:44 PM) They must have weird parents to name their sons the same name. Don't make comments like this to George Foreman. He'll punch you.
  5. Which contenders need a mediocre 2B? Is there really any demand for a player of his caliber?
  6. Who is this Mark Burly guy everyone keeps talking about?

QUOTE(Shadows @ Jul 9, 2007 -> 01:57 PM) reading blows, I cant see any logical reason why someone would rather read a book then watch a movie where they don't have to do any work at all but sit there and watch it.. I think its a complete joke that anyone can say books are better than movies, and no you super nerds the book is never scarier than the movie.. Quite an impressive philosophy. You should put that in your resume.

QUOTE(Shadows @ Jul 9, 2007 -> 01:13 PM) Nope, and I have no plans to ever read a book ever again in my life Bravo. That's something to be proud of.
  9. QUOTE(TheBigHurt @ Jul 9, 2007 -> 12:40 PM) So you're saying his defense wasn't good in 2005 and 2006? It was average to slightly above average in 2005. In 2006 he decided to fill his shoes with cement.
  10. I think you are watching old footage from 2001 when you say "pretty good defense".
  11. QUOTE(kapkomet @ Jul 9, 2007 -> 09:22 AM) Why, because you 100% support her position? Sure why not. I just keep seeing more and more reasons to get rid of this clown. Like this: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/19675580/

QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Jul 5, 2007 -> 06:34 PM) Independent film channel is a new favorite of mine after viewing several interesting movies the last several days. Among them are two standouts -- "Once Were Warriors" and "The Magdelan Sisters" (Nora Jane Noone ). I don't know if anyone has heard of either, but if you're in Blockbuster or Hollywood Video and happen to see these titles, they're worth the money. I'm a huge fan of IFC although I haven't seen those 2 in particular. I'll keep my eyes open for them.
  15. For the hip hop fans out there check out Marco Polo's "Port Authority". Very solid. Reminiscent of 90s era hip hop. Lot of old school guest rappers.
  16. Does anything suck more than nailing a job interview for a position that you really want....only to find out you didn't get the job. *sigh*
  17. QUOTE(StrangeSox @ Jul 3, 2007 -> 12:26 PM) Why should the executive be able to throw out the work of the legislature (perjury laws) and judicial branches (trial by jury, conviction, sentencing) at will, with absolutely no reprocussions or limits on the power? I am with you on this. Seems to defy logic.
  18. QUOTE(kapkomet @ Jul 3, 2007 -> 10:42 AM) You KNOW the press corp had 85,000 people in the room SCREAMING that question to Tony Snow today. So again, the "beat" goes on... From what I have seen the press room is very small. 85K might be a bit on the high side.
  19. MSNBC.com ticker: White House won't rule out eventual pardon for Libby. More soon.
  20. QUOTE(Steff @ Jul 3, 2007 -> 10:09 AM) The heart wants what the heart wants. He wasn't married, I assume his partners weren't also - or maybe that were the controversy comes in. People should be so nosey and concern themselves with what others do in their bedrooms. Yeah but he's the CEO. Consensual or not, that is highly inappropriate in Corporate America.
  21. QUOTE(fathom @ Jul 3, 2007 -> 09:29 AM) Since when have we actually tried to acquire prime time free agents? Last I remembered was Joey Belle.
  22. QUOTE(kapkomet @ Jul 3, 2007 -> 09:26 AM) Creepy? Do tell. Creepy in a pedophilia kind of way. The ads feature what look to be 15 year olds wearing skimpy outfits. I feel dirty going into the store looking at all their ads that are plastered across the walls. Some info on the CEO from wikipedia:
  23. QUOTE(kapkomet @ Jul 2, 2007 -> 12:09 PM) http://biz.yahoo.com/rb/070630/books_madei....pf=family-home Interesting article/book review. If you think about it, what can we buy that's NOT made in China anymore? American Apparel clothing. Sure their ads (and CEO) are creepy but you're supporting American made products.
