  1. QUOTE(SoxFan562004 @ Jun 12, 2007 -> 11:14 AM) any chance they move Jones? I doubt with Boras as his agent they'll resign him, why not get something for him now? (Although his #s have been down this year, so his value might be very low) Why would a Boras free agent come here? KW has a terrible relationship with Boras.
  2. QUOTE(caulfield12 @ Jun 12, 2007 -> 10:54 AM) Owens doesn't have the arm for CF, and he doesn't have the power for a corner OF spot. He's, at best, a fourth OF, at worse, Rodney McCray or a career minor leaguer. I guess I don't understand that rationale. Why must the corner OF need to have power to play out there?
  3. QUOTE(Jenks Heat @ Jun 12, 2007 -> 09:00 AM) Greg Walker should take a leave of abscence or something. Wait...he's still with the team? I thought he was already on a 2 month leave of absence based on how pitiful we are hitting.
  4. Favorites that I've been to are AT&T, Minute Maid (Probably because the only game I saw there was game 4 of the WS), Miller, Fenway, and surprisingly Kaufmann.
  5. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Jun 12, 2007 -> 09:36 AM) Buster Onley says if KW puts Mark and Dye out on the market now he will get a great return, if he waits when the market gets more saturated he will get a lot less. Just f***ing sell them off now. Perhaps he's waiting until after we play the Cubs? Our fans put a lot of stock into that series and would like our best chance to sweep the northsiders.
  6. Come see Chicago's first minor league baseball team!
  7. I could only imagine what comments we would get by some people here if it were Hillary or Obama who did this instead of the commander guy.
  8. Again, it's what day? June 12th and look at our hitting statistics. Dead last in almost every single category. And not very close to jumping any teams above them. If anything there needs to be a scapegoat. I am certain all 29 teams besides us would have fired their hitting coach by now.
  9. QUOTE(LVSoxFan @ Jun 11, 2007 -> 02:37 PM) It's still only June 11th, people... Only?

    QUOTE(BobDylan @ Jun 9, 2007 -> 03:04 PM) I walked out in 15 minutes. I don't know why I was even there. I wish I could have done the same but my daughter would have been pissed.
  11. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Jun 11, 2007 -> 01:01 PM) Yes, ESPN is always right about everything Sure they suck but we don't even have anyone All-Star worthy. Not even close IMO.
  12. QUOTE(thedoctor @ Jun 11, 2007 -> 11:09 AM) my first thought is that this doesn't belong here. My 2nd thought is that there aren't enough "trade Dye" threads in the Trade subforum.
  13. Look at my sig. It's June 8th and we are dead last in almost all hitting categories. We must be the only organization in baseball that would keep the hitting coach.
  14. No wonder players bad mouth the Sox organization when they leave. Even the fans trash the players when they leave.
  15. How will this technology affect us physically? Seems like added radiation permeating around. Maybe we'll see higher cancer rates.
  16. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Jun 7, 2007 -> 10:37 PM) KW put together a solid bullpen. I'm sure many of them will be headed to the All Star Game in San Francisco this year to throw at the home run derby. Heh. I actually laughed out loud after reading that.
  17. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 7, 2007 -> 10:13 AM) Unbelievable Great sig. Forward it to KW.
  18. Anyone still think this is a playoff team? If so, put the crack pipe down.
  19. Whoah! http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/19067777/
  20. QUOTE(briguy27 @ Jun 6, 2007 -> 11:30 AM) ahh yes, u are right. pierzynski has 12 GIDP this year, and JD only has 7 GIDP I'll take a wild guess that 10 of those 12 were on the 1st pitch he saw.
  21. George Micheal's facial expressions and reactions are priceless. I love his rapport with Michael.
  22. QUOTE(kwolf68 @ Jun 5, 2007 -> 09:08 AM) Rotoworld reported Kenny Williams has NO interest in making this trade. This was a horrible idea and I'm glad we can move on now. Phew. That was a stupid idea to begin with.
  23. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jun 4, 2007 -> 12:34 PM) Good god, and if you throw in stupid mistakes like Sarbines Oxley, which is not only driving IPOs and stock listings out of the US, but has actually accelerated CEO salaries instead of slowing them, and it is a wonder there are still jobs left in this country at all. Sarbanes Oxley legislation is not in place to keep CEO salaries down.
