QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Dec 26, 2012 -> 09:29 AM) The thing is if the Raiders would have drafted them, they too would have sucked. *sigh* It's sad that you're right. I'm just hoping that with Al Davis finally gone, the franchise slowly starts becoming relevant again. Baby steps.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Dec 22, 2012 -> 10:22 AM) I actually saw Tricky live at lollapalooza in 97. His live show was better than his albums that i got. I tried to get into him, just couldnt. On my NIN pandora station, Massive Attack has been coming into the rotation for some reason and I really like what I have been hearing Tricky was a member of Massive Attack early on. Their best album is easily Mezzanine.

Time to revisit the 2nd Amendment?
QUOTE (DukeNukeEm @ Dec 21, 2012 -> 02:47 PM) When's the last time a machine gun was used in a mass shooting? has that ever happened? you dont know what a machine gun is. You dont even have to know what you're talking about, just BAN BAN BAN. You're right. My point is completely voided since I used the incorrect gun terminology.

Time to revisit the 2nd Amendment?
100,000 public schools in the US, at least one armed guard for each school, $50,000 per year salary for each guard = At least $5,000,000,000 per year added to the education budget. Most schools can barely even afford enough teachers and books.

Time to revisit the 2nd Amendment?
So the NRA apparently wants every school to become the movie "Kindergarten Cop".

Time to revisit the 2nd Amendment?
Remember when all the NRA guys said that Trayvon Martin would still be alive if he had a concealed 9mm? Me neither.

Time to revisit the 2nd Amendment?
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Dec 21, 2012 -> 09:22 AM) It is trending that way... we do have armed guards at most sporting events, at least. I'm not just referring to pro sports. We'll need them at pee wee league through high school and college. You can't be too cautious plus the gun industry gets to sell more guns. A win, win!

Time to revisit the 2nd Amendment?
QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Dec 21, 2012 -> 09:18 AM) Difficult in a high school setting? Sure. In an elementary setting I bet that difficulty is much less. EDIT: And I'm not saying this is going to stop every incident, but it'd be a plausible, good step forward. Why stop at schools? Mass shootings happen everywhere. We'll need armed guards in churches, movie theaters, malls, sporting events, parks, libraries, and on public transit.

Time to revisit the 2nd Amendment?
QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Dec 21, 2012 -> 09:12 AM) Again, targeting a trained officer who is on the lookout for such a person, and that person is now not targeting a child. Train someone to look out for one crazed person in a sea of students? Sounds nearly impossible especially if the gunman is a student who goes there and "snaps" one day.
