  1. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 1, 2011 -> 02:28 PM) As for Pierre, he'll continue to suck the life out of this offense for another 100 games. Thank goodness he will have the most ABs on the team. I've never seen a player so deserving of it.
  2. Any chance Rios and Pierre just decide to retire mid-season?
  3. Eat s*** Ozzie for keeping the Elf on the bench most of the time.
  4. Any way we can strand Dunn, Rios, and Pierre at the airport after this game?
  5. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 1, 2011 -> 01:33 PM) Lillibridge is so awesome now. Make him the every day starter! How blind is management that they won't give him more opportunities?
  6. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 1, 2011 -> 01:32 PM) Dunn is 7-46, no homers with RISP Mark Kotsay would be a big improvement over him.
  7. I loathe Adam Dunn. What a worthless pile of s***.
  8. QUOTE (flippedoutpunk @ Jun 1, 2011 -> 12:59 PM) yeah, im sure i wouldve enjoyed the movie more if i hadnt watched it with a girl with the personality of a salamander The 2 salamanders that I know are quite eccentric.

    Job Hunt Thread

QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Jun 1, 2011 -> 12:39 PM) A lot of jobs I apply for have an option on the application that says "May we contact this employer?". Is it considered a negative if I say no? I don't think so. I typically leave that field blank anyway and if they really want to contact them they'll ask me.

I'll make sure to tip my server.
  11. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Jun 1, 2011 -> 12:32 PM) Baines is fine with me. I'd take him over Dunn right now.
  12. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jun 1, 2011 -> 12:31 PM) Dirk's finger is f***ed, and he'll be wearing a splint the rest of the series. Game - Set - Match. Not his shooting hand though.

    2011 TV Thread

Whale Wars starts up again this Friday.
  14. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jun 1, 2011 -> 12:27 PM) I remember saying this about the Bulls many, many games in a row. But the Mavs have guys that actually hit a lot of open shots on a much more frequent basis.
  15. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 1, 2011 -> 12:24 PM) Starting buying Indians Jerseys then.
  16. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jun 1, 2011 -> 12:15 PM) No offense, but don't you think almost any Sox starter would have said the same thing when approached and asked by a writer? Except for Mark, maybe. I would assume Danks would have the same quotes if asked about going to the pen. Basically jackson said he didn't want to do it, but would do it for the team. Who is not going to say that publicly? It's not like he went to all six and asked all six. I don't think all 6 pitchers would give that same response.
  17. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jun 1, 2011 -> 11:43 AM) Such bulls***. You are making conclusions based on your opinion of watching games on TV. Thank you. And he presented it as fact.
  18. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Jun 1, 2011 -> 11:11 AM) Rand Paul, who made an effort last week to hold up the Patriot Act passage, calls for arrest and deportation of people who attend radical political rallies. Libertarianism!
  19. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Jun 1, 2011 -> 10:33 AM) I still like two goals for the Sox by the ASB: over .500 and in 2nd place. If they can do both, I'd feel pretty good about this club's chances. I'd feel even better if Dunn started hitting the ball with authority. That happens and I'm sold that we will take this division.
  20. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jun 1, 2011 -> 10:35 AM) If that's the case, then why did they gave up a top prospect thinking Coop could make him better? Probably because he just made all of that up.
  21. QUOTE (bucket-of-suck @ Jun 1, 2011 -> 10:32 AM) The Sox are not resigning Jackson. Coop is not a fan and neither are most of the players. How do you know this?
  22. Remember folks. This is just the first year our team has been coached by Thibs. I fully expect our defense to gradually improve each year as he grows as a head coach and our players become more entrenched in his philosophy.
  23. QUOTE (MattZakrowski @ Jun 1, 2011 -> 08:52 AM) Isn't some of it the lower average income? I thought Florida was kind of a poor state. I don't think you can say that about Miami though. A lot of high rollers live in that town.
