  2. QUOTE (Tex @ Jul 27, 2009 -> 01:34 PM) pork roast w/ rosemary risotto with shrimps asparagus peach cobbler w/ ice cream Definitely a Chicago native.
  3. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 27, 2009 -> 01:19 PM) Matt Holliday moving doesn't do it for you? For some reason I thought that happened on Friday.
  4. QUOTE (SHIPPS @ Jul 27, 2009 -> 01:10 PM) Take everything that Sqwert is gonna eat and give me the exact opposite. I also eat p****.
  5. After you vote include your "last meal" if you were to have one. Mine would be: - The Vegetarian Gourmet pizza (spinach, tomatoes and mushrooms with garlic and oliveoil sauce; minus the romano) from Marcello's - A spicy falafel sandwich from Sultan's Market - Order of chili cheese fries from Veggie Bite - Large chocolate, peanut butter, cookie dough shake from the Chicago Diner Or the full tasting at Alinea.
  6. Pretty quite trade market in the last couple of days.

  8. QUOTE (kev211 @ Jul 27, 2009 -> 12:25 PM) I'll watch it tonight. Just a heads up, the video quality isn't that good for the online version. And kudos for having an open mind about it.
  9. Hopefully that s***ty ass dome will collapse at 3am tonight when it's abandoned and they will be forced to play somewhere else the rest of the season.
  10. QUOTE (kev211 @ Jul 27, 2009 -> 12:05 PM) It's going to be biased documentary. Check it out and let me know what you think. There isn't a whole lot of dialogue. Mostly video images. In fact you can watch it on google video for free: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=63...lient=firefox-a
  11. I think it would be pretty funny if he got traded, developed a batting routine for in between pitches, and became a .320 hitter the rest of his career.
  12. QUOTE (Stan Bahnsen @ Jul 27, 2009 -> 11:50 AM) I want Dunn in the worst way, as long as he never steps foot in the outfield again. I'd love to swap him with Thome as our DH going forward.
  13. Curious if anyone here has seen the award winning documentary Earthlings.
  14. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jul 27, 2009 -> 11:31 AM) The hissyfit happens no matter what. We could trade BA for Haren straight up and some people would still complain.
  15. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Jul 27, 2009 -> 11:06 AM) It really can get goofy sometimes. Whats this about a softball game? http://www.soxtalk.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=69888
  16. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Jul 27, 2009 -> 10:38 AM) Ok. LOL at the s*** we go through on a daily basis. You need to go to the softball game so I can have a beer with you.
  17. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Jul 27, 2009 -> 10:37 AM) Lets say that there is a more advanced species on planet earth that keeps humans for pets. You need to see my new tattoo. And no it's not the Obama painting that I'm using as my avatar.
  18. This is where I sign off from the thread. *shakes head*
  19. QUOTE (Tex @ Jul 27, 2009 -> 10:16 AM) This certainly is an area that animals have an advantage over us. A dog will eat the same food day after day and not grow tired of it. Perhaps humans will develop a wafer that is easy and cheap to mass produce. Maybe there could be a yellow or red one for the vegetarians, made from land based veggies or something, and a green one made out of ocean plankton. I don't eat the same thing every single day. And there are millions of people in India that have never had meat in their life. I'm sure they eat a variety of things and aren't like dogs.
  20. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Jul 27, 2009 -> 09:58 AM) Kind of late to the party on this one. Actually people's eating of meat does affect me, in a negative way. It's not a case of "I eat meat and you don't need to worry about it". Most of the meat eaten today comes from factory farms. These have severe effects on me and the rest of the world. Just look to the negative effects it has on the environment and things like Asian Bird Flu and Swine Flu. Indeed. The amount of food and water provided to one cow could feed a heck of a lot more people than the meat from that one cow. LINK
  21. Gift of Gab has had some crazy rap verses. Not sure which one I'd pick to throw in here.
  22. QUOTE (tonyho7476 @ Jul 27, 2009 -> 09:24 AM) I think we'll win the first two and win the last one Wouldn't that be a sweep since it's a 3 game series?
  23. Colon is becoming the Dewayne Wise of the pitching staff.
  24. QUOTE (Tex @ Jul 27, 2009 -> 09:10 AM) However, by observing animal behavior and feeding habits, we can learn if other species voluntarily become vegetarians or carnivores. That may be the case but as a human I have the ability to avoid undue harm and suffering just to satisfy my taste buds.
