  1. QUOTE (DrunkBomber @ Sep 27, 2008 -> 09:34 AM) Obamas idea of middle class is people that make 30k First of all that's not the case and we don't even know McCain's definition because he's ignored the middle class the entire campaign.
  2. QUOTE (DrunkBomber @ Sep 26, 2008 -> 10:07 PM) Who can Colbert

  11. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Sep 26, 2008 -> 10:20 AM) ... this was a 100% political stunt. It took you this long to figure that out? I thought it was obvious the moment the news came out.
  12. QUOTE (Texsox @ Sep 26, 2008 -> 08:47 AM) Which is big in a dome with concrete floors. There are reasons we crush the twins at the Cell and get crushed in the dome. Regardless of where we play CF has been a glaring weakness since Rowand left. It needs serious attention and pronto.
  13. Maybe next year Kenny will wake up and realize that we need a real CF. We're in a division with 3 of the best CFs in all of baseball and we're trotting out a 50 year old man.
  14. LOL All hail King McCain and his economic prowess.
  15. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 25, 2008 -> 01:35 PM) 3 times question asked, 0 times answered. I actually posted the video to her foreign experience credentials. But that transcript is just as brutal.
  16. COURIC: You've cited Alaska's proximity to Russia as part of your foreign policy experience. What did you mean by that? PALIN: That Alaska has a very narrow maritime border between a foreign country, Russia, and on our other side, the land-- boundary that we have with-- Canada. It-- it's funny that a comment like that was-- kind of made to-- cari-- I don't know, you know? Reporters-- COURIC: Mock? PALIN: Yeah, mocked, I guess that's the word, yeah. COURIC: Explain to me why that enhances your foreign policy credentials. PALIN: Well, it certainly does because our-- our next door neighbors are foreign countries. They're in the state that I am the executive of. And there in Russia-- COURIC: Have you ever been involved with any negotiations, for example, with the Russians? PALIN: We have trade missions back and forth. We-- we do-- it's very important when you consider even national security issues with Russia as Putin rears his head and comes into the air space of the United States of America, where-- where do they go? It's Alaska. It's just right over the border. It is-- from Alaska that we send those out to make sure that an eye is being kept on this very powerful nation, Russia, because they are right there. They are right next to-- to our state.
  17. Oy vey. No wonder she's kept locked up most of the time. http://www.cbs.com'>
  18. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Sep 25, 2008 -> 10:00 AM) My wife's response... Gotta love a woman's response... and I tend to agree with her. No kidding. What next? They going to tell us most of the homes and cars the McCains have are just cardboard cut outs?
  19. I like this comment from a TPM reader:
  20. So if that were to happen and Barr were invited as a replacement, Obama would get free airtime to millions of viewers to spell out his goals as President and Barr would get a free opportunity to introduce himself to America. Win/Win for the Obama campaign.
  21. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Sep 25, 2008 -> 09:46 AM) Sweet. Great idea. I actually hate the 2 party debates. I'd open it up to the "main 3" (Barr, Obama and McCain) and maybe even throw in Ralph Nader to be fair. What I'm saying is what if Obama shows up to the debate and McCain doesn't thus allowing Obama to debate Barr? Barr would get a nation wide audience to hear his views and since his constituency is mostly conservative, McCain's absence could blow up in his face.
