Roster Decisions Coming Soon For Sox
This team needs guys who can come off the bench and play fundamental baseball, be that bunting, or pinch hitting. Uribe does what the rest do, swings for the fences. He just does it at the poorest rate in the majors. Ozuna is the OBVIOUS decision.

Roster Decisions Coming Soon For Sox
Please keep Ozuna and DFA Uribe. Finally.

TOP 40 FAVORITE TV COMEDIES
QUOTE (knightni @ Jun 25, 2008 -> 03:07 PM) It kills me that I Love Lucy is ranked so low. I think some folks don't realize how monumental this program was for pretty much inventing the situational comedy. I'm not an old folk or anything at 25 either, I just know my tv history! (and enjoyed that show as a youngin!")

Sox @ Dodgers Game 2 Floyd vs Stults 9:10
Well, I can already guarantee the Sox are losing tomorrow (not only is it against a rookie, not only is he a lefty, but he's f***ing Kershaw, so forget about it), so hopefully they can win tonight.

Mike North: He gone!
Dream scenario... Hub and Murph 6-8 (they were actually a decent tandem in the mornings awhile back) Mully & Hanley 8-12 Law Holmes 12-2 B&B 2-6 Or, you could get rid of the weird middleness and go with Mully Hanley 6-10 Law Holmes (and Hubner?) 10-2 B&B The Murph nuts would get pissed though.

QUOTE (EvilJester99 @ Jun 24, 2008 -> 08:45 PM) Scotty Bowman says he's not going to Chicago “I don't know anything about that,” Scotty Bowman said this evening. “As long as I'm healthy and there's no change in ownership in Detroit, there'll be no change. I'm perfectly satisfied.” Not at all surprising. We don't need that troll anyway.

Shaq to Kobe: "Tell me how my ass tastes."

Shaq to Kobe: "Tell me how my ass tastes."
Yeah, it's quite good. He rips Kobe for being unable to win without him, and then blames Kobe for his own divorce... oddly enough.

Apparently Shaq went off on Kobe at a nightclub while "Freestylin'". http://outsports.com/jocktalkblog/?p=1146

TOP 40 FAVORITE TV COMEDIES
QUOTE (Texsox @ Jun 24, 2008 -> 09:22 AM) And yes, Jim, looking over my list, none are currently running. Although Scrubs is pretty fresh. Scrubs is still running. The final season will be on ABC this fall I believe. I put both new and old and just went with what I enjoyed. As a kid growing up, Dick Van Dyke and Mary Tyler Moore were great, so they got honorable nod. The Lucy Show got nod from me for just being a pioneer (and still rather damn funny). But trust me, some currently running shows most definitely got up there, and one within the last 5 years got #1 for me.

Trivia Qs
QUOTE (WhiteSoxfan1986 @ Jun 24, 2008 -> 02:47 AM) Four teams have made the playoffs after being outscored in the regular season, and one won the world series. Who were they? I'd go with the Cardinals as the WS winner.

2007-08 NBA Thread
QUOTE (SoxFan101 @ Jun 19, 2008 -> 09:31 PM) The Cardinals won the WS a couple years back does that mean the AL wasnt better? The best team doesnt always win the prize and 1 team also doesnt represent an entire conference in terms of overall strength. The best team most certainly won the prize this year.

Official 2008-2009 NHL Thread
I personally think that UFA Michal Rozsival would be a great addition to the Hawks. He can move the puck out of his own end and is only 28 years old. Sign Hossa, let the Rangers bid up Campbell, and then steal Rozsival from them. You can sign 3 players, including Rozsival, for the price Campbell would warrant. Also, Jose Theodore is a UFA (at least according to the site I'm looking at)... he enjoyed quite the renaissance last year, and though I doubt the Hawks would sign him with Khabby under contract still, he'd be a nice look at just 30 years old.

QUOTE (Texsox @ Jun 24, 2008 -> 06:45 AM) I'm kinda surprised Fraser was so low. I also see a trend for current, which always happens with these. Well yeah, the Dick Van Dyke show only showed up on two lists (mine was one of them). However, what can ya do?

The Shrine? Why don't they treat it that way?
QUOTE (SuperSteve @ Jun 23, 2008 -> 11:47 PM) Your original post complains about fans having fun at the game and then cheering for their team when they tie the game up. You're upset Cubs fans had fun. Baseball is entertainment for most people. Not eveybody sits on a message board and reads up on baseball. What the f***? You're making things up now. It doesn't say that at all.

The Shrine? Why don't they treat it that way?
QUOTE (SuperSteve @ Jun 23, 2008 -> 10:41 PM) We all know many very knowledgable Cubs fans and many ignorant Sox fans, just take some less time being envious and enjoy yourself. My original post had nothing to do with envy. If you read it, you'll see I was disgusted with "the norm" at Wrigley being to throw things on the field and at fans of the opposing team. This is not normal in any other stadium I've been too, and I've been to a lot of them. My co-workers ribbing me because the Cubs swept the Sox? That's fine, I wear my Soxdom on my sleeve and the way they played I deserved it. Throwing beer at other people, littering the field, yelling at little kids in opposing team's jersies? That's a rarity saved for Wrigley Field.
