  1. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Jun 2, 2008 -> 08:57 AM) Question, though - even if that happens and Obama actually has the full majority, what if Clinton elects not to concede, and decides to go to Denver in a futile attempt to talk some supers out of voting for Obama? I mean, what's to stop her from doing that, other than looking like even more of a buffoon than she already does? Given her track record, that's exactly what she's going to do.
  2. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Jun 1, 2008 -> 04:43 PM) Fully one-third, or 34 percent, of likely voters said they hadn't heard enough about Obama to express an opinion about him. Only 16 percent said that about Clinton, the former first lady and current U.S. senator from New York, a state with many Puerto Ricans. If you don't care, why are you voting. I hate it when uneducated folks decide they should be voting.

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ May 30, 2008 -> 02:36 PM) Why would the boat be on top of the island then? I was assuming the strong magnetic properties pulled the boat out of the water. Sort of like the magnetic properties pulled the plane apart. Well, the island, when it moved, seemed to disappear INTO the water, not into the sky. One would have to assume that it appears from underneath, so any ship sailing would basically have the ground grow beneath it.

I completely forgot about the newspaper clipping from way back when. Jeremy Bentham it was... http://www.lostpedia.com/wiki/Obituary
  10. QUOTE (RockRaines @ May 30, 2008 -> 07:38 AM) Does it really have that much to do with him at #2, or more with Q at 3? Q since the switch: .327 .409 .636 SLG 19 RBI in 15 games Previous #3 hitter: .209 .350 .769 OPS 22 RBI in 37 games How bout OC's move: batting 2nd: .220 .298 .569 OPS 3 2B 17 runs in 30 games batting 1st: .276 .311 .709 OPS 6 2B 17 runs in 23 games AJP batting 2nd: .231 .286 .613 OPS 4 RBI 3 2B 6 runs 13 games So we can see that although AJ's stats have gone down with the move, overall our offense has been a bit more productive and our #3 hitter has basically blown the doors off the previous hitter. But it would be foolish to think that AJP was the reason as OC was actually close to the same hitter in that spot. How about this? If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Swisher is still batting around .200 so you think putting him in the 2 hole is a good idea? Ridiculous.

QUOTE (Brian @ May 30, 2008 -> 09:31 AM) http://darkufo.blogspot.com/2008/05/season...te-endings.html Alternate endings. What's funny is my wife predicted Sawyer in the casket and I predicted Desmond. We both could have been right!

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ May 30, 2008 -> 08:46 AM) Unless they distinctly show a person die in the show I don't assume they are dead. Exactly. Next season is going to be incredible.

What a f***ing fantastic series of episodes.
  15. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ May 29, 2008 -> 03:08 PM) Got it. Check up top. Good man, thank you.
  16. QUOTE (juddling @ May 29, 2008 -> 10:03 AM) i used to suscribe to the 'never hit a woman policy' until i got sucker punched by a girl (drunk) at a party (mistaken identity). As bad as it sounds....if she pushes you.....push her back.....if she punches you..well.....what does she expect??? Never escalate it...but stay at her level. And then never live down the fact that you hit a woman. Never... hit... a woman.
  17. Doug Collins is the new Bulls coach according to ESPN 1000 and Chicago Sun Times.
  18. 1600x1200 would be nice.
  19. A must read for anyone who likes the Big Hurt.
  20. QUOTE (Controlled Chaos @ May 27, 2008 -> 11:33 AM) That's pretty cool that I was able to offend you by listing some players on a message board....First off the list isn't top chicago athletes, Second, I know he was better when he was with Detroit, but that has nothing to do with the list...it's not just Chicago players...it's players that have passed through Chicago. Didn't you read that when you turned in your list? You did turn one in didn't you? Probert was a dominating force throughout his hockey career at his role. If you were a hockey fan back in the day...you knew who he was, pretty much worldwide. And if I want to give a guy like that credit at #20 on MY list...I will. Savard was a much better all around hockey player....I would never argue that, but Probert dominated the job he was assigned and was one of the toughest guys to ever put on the skates. I did watch hockey back in the day. I watched a lot of Probert. He hurt his team more then helped it and only stayed on the Hawks as long as he did because the Wirtz's took him under their wing during the whole rehabilitation that didn't stick. I just think putting him on the list makes a mockery of it.
  21. Looks like earlier the same day Joakim Noah got pulled over and received citations for speeding, not wearing a seatbelt, and driving on a suspended license. Quite the day!
  22. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ May 27, 2008 -> 03:03 PM) Why, because he smokes weed and likes a cocktail? The majority of players in the NBA like to do the same things. Now THAT'S a generalization. Majority of NBA playes = black, so they smoke weed. Gotya. I'd say the MAJORITY of NBA players don't smoke weed, but that's just me.
  23. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 27, 2008 -> 02:56 PM) Another reason that drafting Beasley might not be a bad idea... Two things. Noah is a center. Beasley in the NBA will probably wind up at SF. Noah is good. He actually had an impressive rookie season. This won't be the end of him in a Bulls uniform. His slight mistake won't change the Bulls' draft strategy, nor should it.

QUOTE (knightni @ May 24, 2008 -> 12:58 PM) Kind of funny to see Red Foreman as a killer. Can you fly, Bobby?
