  1. Seriously, Al Gore was right...
  2. Adenhart is the Angels top pitching prospect, but has been nothing special thus far. Look for him to have his breakout performance tonight, because the White Sox have not yet seen him.
  3. Sorry palehose23, you have fallen victim to something known as RSB (Random Soxtalk b****ing). Sometimes, when you post useful information, someone will have their panties in a bunch and ask you why you posted something so stupid. When that person does this, it's best to ignore them and wait for those who find the information useful to log on. Thanks for reminding me that we'll be stuck with Thome for another year after this one.

    QUOTE (kyyle23 @ May 12, 2008 -> 05:42 AM) those are that's a .
  5. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 12, 2008 -> 07:34 AM) Great start to the road trip. 2/3 in Seattle, and even the game we lost the pen pitched really well, and the offense showed signs of life by getting tons of baserunners. Keep it going boys! Agreed, at least we won 2/3.
  6. QUOTE (ballyb11 @ May 11, 2008 -> 09:17 AM) Great stat. After today's game they are now 0-8 in games in which they do not hit a homerun.
  7. QUOTE (lostfan @ May 11, 2008 -> 01:51 AM) "Feast or a famine." They are feasting after the famine last week. Some consistency would be nice. It feels inevitable it's going to happen again, although I still have confidence in Swisher and Cabrera to pick it up. Not so sure about Konerko and Thome, although Konerko's been doing better. Exactly. The Sox are feasting right now, like the Snickers commercial. Surely they will famine yet again. It's nice to see runs scored, but you'll notice most of yesterday's runs were via the homer. The White Sox are 0-7 this season when they don't hit a homerun.
  8. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ May 9, 2008 -> 04:06 PM) 12 posts in and no gratuitous sexy photos of Scarlett? lol No, but I can supply this...
  9. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ May 9, 2008 -> 03:54 PM) "My name is Pat Foley and I'm a motivational..." oh never mind. lol That's Matt Foley!
  10. QUOTE (SnB @ May 9, 2008 -> 03:55 PM) thought last night's was the best of the season, by a long shot. I thought last night's was one of the best... ever. It was hilarious.
  11. SOMEONE WHO CAN CHANGE THE NAME OF THIS THREAD CHANGE IT TO PAT FOLEY RUMORED BACK WITH HAWKS!
  12. QUOTE (Nokona @ May 6, 2008 -> 02:18 PM) sources indicate pat foley will return HOLY s***!
  13. Per Rotoworld He's been horrendous. It's funny how the entire baseball universe could tell Edmonds was done, yet someone who makes a decent salary decided to trade for him and take on over $6 million. Edmonds had a decent career, I'd think he might be done. Decent career though, won a World Series, and at one point was regarded as one of the better homerun hitters and fielders in baseball.
  14. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ May 9, 2008 -> 01:31 PM) Do you want the chance of FL and MI going to Obama in November? Yes. They knew the rules beforehand though, and now Hillary's going to string this till the end.
  15. QUOTE (heirdog @ May 9, 2008 -> 01:09 PM) Swishin' ain't easy. He needs to get back up to the top spot in the line-up and just try to get on base. The walk is a great prescription for a player in a slump. If he batted first, he could think, all I need to do is get on base with a walk ahead of these other .210 hitters. Batting him 7th, he feels like he needs to get at least a double for the .230, .190 and then the .210 hitters to drive him in. He lead off the first month of the season and was hitting like .215. He's just slumping.
  16. It's a joke that she would think she is deserving of the 100% vote. The fact that she could only get 55% when all the candidates with a true chance took their names off the ballot says a lot. WHY ARE WE CONSIDERING ALLOWING THESE VOTES WHEN MICHIGAN VIOLATED THE NATIONAL PARTY RULES AND KNEW THEIR VOTES WOULDN'T COUNT!?!?!?!? WTF WTF WTF I hate Hillary!
  17. QUOTE (knightni @ May 9, 2008 -> 12:44 PM) Well, he and Randy Johnson did room together in college. Well played, sir.
  18. QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ May 8, 2008 -> 06:56 PM) I'm not happy about the slumping offense either, but blaming it on Moneyball and an emphasis this offseason on OBP is just dumb. I guarantee that if the Sox OBP was .369 like Boston's we'd be leading the league in RS like Boston. Nothing (of the simple rate stats) correlates better to RS than OBP, not average, that's for f***ing sure. I think you mis interpreted the article. I was pointing out that the organization's sudden emphasis on OBP had them neglecting players who hit for high average. It was all about walks, and they brought in three guys who likely won't be .300 hitters.
  19. Delmon Young seems to have lost some bat speed, resulting in less contact... Delmon Young has lost some power...

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ May 9, 2008 -> 09:53 AM) Sorry but that movie looks terrible. Yes it looks freaking awful.
  21. QUOTE (hawksfan61 @ May 9, 2008 -> 10:01 AM) While the list of reasons that Phillips is an asshat is a mile long, that trade unfortunately is not on it. Jim Duquette made that brilliant move. Funny how he no longer worked for the Mets the year after that trade...... I stand corrected. Good thing that f*** got canned.
  22. QUOTE (chimpy2121 @ May 9, 2008 -> 09:30 AM) Right now the Angels are planning on throwing Lackey on Wednesday against us if he doesn't have any setbacks. Per YahooSports: That's fine, the first start back he shouldn't be good for more than 5 innings and maybe we can rough him up.
  23. Y2HH. You are/were a bastard!
  24. QUOTE (Texsox @ May 9, 2008 -> 07:17 AM) Hacking into a government computer that contained private, personal, information. Sorry dude, enjoy the year off. Agreed. The kid deserves the charges.
  25. QUOTE (greasywheels121 @ May 8, 2008 -> 10:14 PM) Does this hat make me look flyeth? Amazing episode. It was clearly aired out of order (with Kelso being COM), but it really worked. Definitely a great season/episode for the show to end its NBC run. At this point you'll pretty much say you like anything [sCRUBS] won't you? Kelso back? Way to supply us the episodes out of order. That episode was completely f***ing terrible, and there were only a couple of parts that were remotely funny. I've enjoyed the theme episodes before... sitcom, musical, etc, but this one was terribly indefensible.
