Smooth move Cedric
QUOTE (Soxbadger @ May 7, 2008 -> 11:05 AM) http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3385156 By the way he refused to take the breathalyzer (its your right to refuse but then they just give you penalties like 6 month suspension of license.) Sounds like an innocent man to me.

QUOTE (Tony82087 @ May 7, 2008 -> 10:59 AM) Batman Forever>Batman and Robin Both were TERRIBLE, but Batman and Robin was one of the worst movies I have seen. Batman Forever took it in the direction of Batman and Robin. Both films were awful representations of "The Dark Knight." Interesting how a movie can kill careers (O'Donnell, Silverstone) yet leave others untouched (Clooney). Thank the Lord for Chris Nolan.

For Dems only.
I really wish someone wouldn't have deleted the Democratic Primaries thread. Now I have to click on 4 different threads to read the stuff that could have all been posted in that single thread.

QUOTE (FlaSoxxJim @ May 7, 2008 -> 10:18 AM) Well, certainly that was the plan at some level for a sequel, wether Burton ever cared much to pursue it I don't know. After Billy Dee was introduced in the first film as Dent, he even signed a pay-for-play contract with Warner in the belief that he had secured a role as Two-Face in a sequel. Interesting. And then Batman Forever took the franchise in what was the absolute worst direction possible.

All Things Pro-Obama
QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ May 7, 2008 -> 10:17 AM) Based on MSNBC's allocation of delegates from yesterday's election, minus FL and MI Clinton needs 88.5% of the remaining pledged delegates to win the pledged delegate count. With FL and MI (no MI delegates to Obama) counting full: 63% With FL and MI (no MI delegates to Obama) counted as half: 76% With FL and MI (Obama gets "left over" delegates) counted as full: 75.5% With FL and MI (Obama gets "left over" delegates) counted as half: 82% I can't believe that seating the FL and MI delegates is being considered. It's a goddamn joke, but you know Hillary will cry until it happens.

QUOTE (kyyle23 @ May 7, 2008 -> 10:04 AM) You would think that Tim Burton would jump at the chance to bring two face into the story Yeah, it's weird that he completely ignored that portion of the story while including Harvey Dent in the storyline.

Indiana / North Carolina primary election thread
QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ May 7, 2008 -> 09:11 AM) Conference call is pushing FL and MI, "white electability", and that a win in WV shows she is strong in states that havent gone democratic in recent years. Wait, didnt the Clintons say "red states" dont matter? hmmm...... I hate her with a passion.

QUOTE (shipps @ May 7, 2008 -> 08:42 AM) Does anybody else that has Comcast HD get that green screen every now and then?It is extremely annoying. In the last year, it's happened twice for me, but once was just last week. You have to unplug the bastard to get it to work again.

Personality
QUOTE (BigSqwert @ May 6, 2008 -> 02:52 PM) I think my parent's upbringing helped shape my personality. That and probably some genetics. Yes. Add to that early friendships formed and their family's influences on you.

QUOTE (SoxFan562004 @ May 7, 2008 -> 08:16 AM) Yeah, I watched her speech last night and it seemed she wasn't quite sure what to say. From what I could read they really thought they had a shot at winning Indiana easily and having a great showing in NC. It seems that she was rattled a little Unfortunately, sounding defeating doesn't mean withdrawing today like she should. I honestly can't even look at that woman fake smile any longer.

QUOTE (shipps @ May 7, 2008 -> 08:08 AM) Well about a year and half ago you did unless I totally misunderstood the guy. When I got the initial package I was under the impression that I had bought an HD cable box. Through Comcast, you definitely needn't pay $100 for a tuner. That's a satellite thing...

Lets Give Floyd a Standing Ovation
I've seen many a pitcher start hot. I've seen many a former top prospect get hot at certain times, ignite the excitement and then fall back down to Earth. I am here to say that, what I see in Gavin stemming all the way back to the end of last year, is that he's turned the corner. A former top prospect picked 4th overall by the Phillies, was a complete steal in the Freddy Garcia trade. KW won this one, and may very well have given us our future ace. Regardless, I do think the pitching will be there this year. If the hitting can get any consistency going, the Sox actually have a shot in this thing. Thank you, Gavin, for taking our minds off losing, blow up dolls, and cursing managers. I tip my cap to you.

White Sox Clubhouse and Sex Dolls
I was shocked to see this debated still this morning. We have 3 sides. 1. Sox were wrong, this negatively effects the franchise. 2. Should have been behind closed doors, but no big deal. 3. Boys will be boys. I, of course, am part of #1, but anyone arguing any of the points above it any further is just beating it to death and repeating themselves in different ways.

HDMI Help
QUOTE (shipps @ May 7, 2008 -> 08:00 AM) You have to buy the HD cable box which I think is about $100 and then you have to pay 5 extra bucks a month for the HD. No, you don't have to buy any cable box. It's like $8 a month for the HD tuner or $12 a month for the HD DVR Dual Tuner. Edit: It might be up to $9 and $14, but you get the idea. It's worth it.

HDMI Help
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 7, 2008 -> 07:51 AM) Well while this thread is up... The wife and I are planning on being good Amerians and buying a new HD with the stimulus check here soon. We want something in the 32" variety, because that is the biggest we can go and still keep the entertainment center. Any recomendations? Then question number two becomes for people who have Comcast, what cable package does it take to be able to get Sox games in HD? Thanks, I'll hang up and listen for your answer I recommend Samsung to any and everyone. With a 32", make sure you get a 720p and not a 1080p. There is no difference in the two until you are over 40." I have nothing special with my cable, just the digital HD DVR package. Just make sure you tell them "I want ESPN" so you dont wind up with just the local channels in HD. That'll give you: 173 ESPN HD 174 MOJO HD (CSN + games are on this channel) 183 WCIU HD 192 WGN HD 200 CSN HD 204 ESPN 2 HD As well as all the other necessities like Food Network, USA, TNT, TBS, FOX, CBS, NBC, ABC, CNN etc etc. It's the only package you'll really need, bc it covers all HD channels other than premium (Showtime, HBO, etc).
