i personally like this deal, bc bedard is a young lefty who we could use out of the bullpen this year, and could start next year. you throw in a prospect and im sold. we could lock up bedard for years. He is the same age as Garland, but I believe has higher upside. Bedard has been in the league less than Garland, so the White Sox would have more leverage contract wise for a few more years... and he sure won't cost 10 mil a season.

its funny, there's this little event known as christmas happening in two days. im not sure but that might have something to do with it.

Geez, we're only 4 games under .500 with absolutely no one on the offensive side of the puck. If Ruutu could get back to 100% by the end of January, a playoff run is not impossible. (Of course, if Daze were to ever come back, that would help even more. However, I doubt that ever happens.) However, I believe it is foolish and unprofessional for him to want to play with Finland, when he has missed 99% of his games with the team that pays him almost 4 million dollars a year.
