  1. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Mar 21, 2013 -> 02:21 PM) That photo with Vick is fantastic. It was the second thing I typed into Google to get picks. I had a faint memory of him blowing over the line to get Vick - I'm sure it was on the cover of the Trib and all over the web when it happened. It was in my memory and Google brought it right up. The internet + my brain = awesome.
  2. I'm still going to go ahead and say badger didn't make honor roll.
  3. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Mar 21, 2013 -> 11:58 AM) I actually dont care. People who are smart and good at school, usually know that, and dont need plastic ribbons and award ceremonies. Someone didn't make the honor roll!
  4. QUOTE (Felix @ Mar 21, 2013 -> 11:53 AM) This was more creative when it said "turd" instead of hater *yawn* Tell us more about the Minnesota Lynx.
  5. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Mar 21, 2013 -> 11:54 AM) Michael Jordan in shorts = very, very, very, very, very good.
  6. QUOTE (Felix @ Mar 21, 2013 -> 11:49 AM) But what does Steve's friend's uncle say? He said that you're a hater and the WNBA sucks.
  7. LOL at not having an honors program for fear of upsetting the kids who don't make it. Better get rid of all team sports and grades while we're at it. Everyone gets a participant ribbon and a diploma, and there's no reason to rise to the top at anything.
  8. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Mar 21, 2013 -> 11:27 AM) And Jordan is a first class dickface. I adore that dickface.
  9. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Mar 21, 2013 -> 11:41 AM) So clearly he is returning on Easter. He is Risen.
  10. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Mar 21, 2013 -> 09:44 AM) Better than the first make an impact commercial: http://www.mlb.com/video/play.jsp?content_...53394-572351810 I like it.
  11. QUOTE (Swingandalongonetoleft @ Mar 20, 2013 -> 01:08 PM) It's true that Boers probably doesn't think it's worth the effort at this point in his career to disagree with Bernstein (path of least resistance etc.), but Holmes is the most flagrant offender of parroting Bernstein on that station. If he does have a difference of opinion with Berns, he defends his position timidly- almost to the point of being apologetic about it. It is also true, however, that Bernstein is more tolerant of the show's callers when Loho sits in for Boers. Well, Law Holmes is consistent. He's a polite person. He respects a moron caller's opinion even if it's blatantly wrong, thanks them for the call, and then politely disagrees and explains his position. He's the same way with Bernstein. Sure, it might come off timid, but he's just a nice guy.

QUOTE (Brian @ Mar 20, 2013 -> 01:31 PM) Anybody hear of or watch TOP OF THE LAKE on Sundance? It's been recommended to me. The first 2 episodes run tomorrow night, so I'm dvring, and new ones Monday nights. Was sort of bored with Bates Motel pilot, despite digging the Vera Farmiga MILF vibe. I read a preview of it a month or so ago and set the Genie on the case to record the series. The beautiful b**** did a fine job, as it resides on my dvr now. Apparently, it's fantastic.
  14. Yes, it was time to move on, but Urlacher leaves as one of the best Chicago Bears of all-time, and certainly the best since I've given a s*** about the team. Thirteen years ain't no joke in this league, fellas. I look forward to his jersey retirement and his Hall of Fame induction.
  15. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Mar 21, 2013 -> 07:55 AM) If you need more Urlacher fellatio, check out TV, radio, twitter, facebook, etc. Recognizing the guy was a beast for my favorite team and the fact that he's been a Bear my entire adult life (drafted in 2000 when I was 17) is not phellating him. It's just not minimizing who he was simply because he's bad now.
  16. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Mar 21, 2013 -> 12:54 AM) Yeah Im not a big fan of this move. His best days may be behind him, but it sounds like he wasnt asking for insane money and there is something to be said about continuity. Guess this is the reality of a new coach/gm. I agree with this, oddly. Yes, I know Urlacher sucks. But on passing downs he still had pretty decent value. If we had anything resembling a second linebacker beyond Briggs I could give a s*** - but we don't.
  17. QUOTE (Jake @ Mar 20, 2013 -> 09:13 PM) PFF had Urlacher as horrible last year, great in 2011, bad in 2010 HE'S DUE I'm torn. I actually think our offer was at market value, though I would have been happy to guarantee the second million for this season. I probably wouldn't have freaked out about $3M either, though. I understand where Brian is coming from, he's thinking about that $5M that Ray Lewis got last year. It's difficult to conceptualize that kind of paycut when you're Brian f***ing Urlacher. I hope he retires if we can't have him, it's almost Buehrle-level weird to think of him in another uniform. I'm not mad at either side. I just hope we can get something going in our LB corps, it is absolutely decimated at this point. There's just nobody there, not even last year's backups. We'll probably need to go MLB in round 1 and we need to find another OLB too unless we want Kelvin Hayden (if we can get him!) on the field half the time. Urlacher's quotes were pretty brutal. "Two million isn't enough to put my body through an NFL season" - but 3.5 is? It is what it is, and it made the Bears' choice easier. I don't get why this thread can show Urlacher no appreciation for 13 years of mostly awesome football, though.
  18. QUOTE (iamshack @ Mar 20, 2013 -> 09:03 PM) I seem to remember pointing out that Urlacher sucked a year or two ago and that Briggs was much more important to this defense...and getting absolutely bashed for it...is this sour grapes or do people finally see that this guy has been overrated since about 2008? Brian Urlacher didn't suck two years ago.
  19. This is the end of an era. Sure, Urlacher sucks now, but he was a truly great and special player. He came out of the gates as a rookie and never looked back. They need to retire 54.
  20. QUOTE (chw42 @ Mar 20, 2013 -> 11:33 AM) You're not getting an 8 core processor in the United States. You're getting a quad core Snapdragon 600, which is more than good enough and is more efficient at handling LTE. The 8 core processor isn't really an 8 core processor. It's a processor with 8 cores on it, but those 8 cores will never be used at the same time and they are not identical. When the phone is in low use, it switches to a power-efficient ARM Cortex A7 quad core processor, but when you need extra computing power, the 4 A-15 cores (the best mobile architecture ARM has to offer right now) will take over and do its job. The issue with a design like this is that the switching needs to be done conservatively and it needs to take care of numerous use-cases correctly, otherwise you're not really saving anymore power than an ordinary quad core processor. I must've been reading a UK review. LOL.
  21. QUOTE (lostfan @ Mar 19, 2013 -> 09:44 PM) You got a specific reason why? I need something, anything to grab onto to make it seem like I had an actual reason and so I don't feel bad about passing the other one over. I've had an HTC for the past 2+ years. I'm interested in going to Samsung and love my Tab2. That said, the S4 specifications are just f***ing nutty. An 8-core processor? Sheeeeit.
  22. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Mar 19, 2013 -> 02:10 PM) From ESPN So, 10-2 and 2-6. SVP is going. So their solution is to take the one show on their station people listen to (Waddle & Silvy) and put them up against the most popular show in town. Brilliant.
  23. QUOTE (lostfan @ Mar 19, 2013 -> 07:55 PM) New Phone time... I waited until now specifically. So, the HTC One or Galaxy S4, I really don't know. I reserved the S4 today.
