QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Oct 4, 2012 -> 12:09 PM) That wasn't just any rookie QB, it was the greatest rookie QB to ever be drafted in the history of the NFL, didn't you hear the hype? On a serious note, it's not just the interceptions for Jennings though. I don't have the exact number, but the passer rating on balls thrown in his direction is something like 13.9. He has been Revis-good so far. And he's tipped 2 passes that turned into INTs as well.

QUOTE (DrunkBomber @ Oct 4, 2012 -> 12:01 AM) Seasons 3 and 4 were definitely meh, but this season has been good Everything involving Gemma has been ridiculously stupid, but Jimmy Smits is awesome.

QUOTE (Reddy @ Oct 3, 2012 -> 09:21 PM) i've done it a few time. regular yoga works just fine. hot yoga's just silly. but some people swear by it. That was the most I have ever sweated in my life.

QUOTE (Eminor3rd @ Oct 2, 2012 -> 03:05 PM) Lol, how is that the one thing in my post you passionately disagree with? For context, you only decline this option if you do the one major thing I posited, which is signing Greinke. Certainly, you can't have both of them. Why suggest pipe dreams? Let's also trade for Mike Trout while we're at it. Stay realistic. Grienke hates pitching in the Cell and we can't afford him. /idea

I'm starting to think that SOA sucks now.

I'm doing hot yoga tonight (and weekly moving forward) to prep my old (29 year old) body for the coming basketball season. Anyone have experience with this? I'm looking forward to the experience.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Oct 2, 2012 -> 08:21 PM) Tebow mania is about to take off in New York. This should be good Tebow and Bilal mania?

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Oct 2, 2012 -> 03:57 PM) Oh hey there Congrats!

QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Oct 2, 2012 -> 11:37 PM) LOL, Express. You kidding me? They only have one size: "generic male". Solid vibrant color shirts with striped ties. Macy's normally has a few shirts in that size, but a slim collection. I'll have to check out Nordstroms. I love Express, but then again, being 6'1, 183 I fit the generic male mold very well.

He's old and injured. Next topic.

QUOTE (Jenksy Cat @ Oct 2, 2012 -> 12:19 PM) There was pressure in 07, 09, 10 and 11? They were definitely in the hunt in 11 and 10. Do you not remember Mannypalooza?

QUOTE (Eminor3rd @ Oct 2, 2012 -> 01:37 PM) 2. Decline Floyd's option, no qualifying offer Um, no.

QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Oct 2, 2012 -> 01:04 PM) Randy Myers: $10M TO or $3M BO (also a naked option I believe)

QUOTE (Marty34 @ Oct 2, 2012 -> 11:54 AM) At 27 next year, he's close to a finished product. There are bigger problems to address. He had the lowest OBP of any 2B in baseball who qualified for the batting title.
-
I'm only offering up two options here with Gordon Beckham - he's either the White Sox' everyday 2B next year, or we replace him. He had a nice September, unlike the rest of our roster, but the OPS was still horrendous. Dude can field a baseball, though. Some comparative statistics across 23 qualified MLB second basemen. Average MLB 2B OPS: .735 Gordon Beckham's rank: 19/23 Average MLB 2B OBP: .331 Gordon Beckham's rank: T 23/23 (last) Gordon Beckham's OPS by season 2009: .808 2010: .695 2011: .633 2012: .668 There you have it, let's see what Soxtalk thinks.

QUOTE (daggins @ Oct 2, 2012 -> 07:29 AM) As far as 3B goes, Wright would be an improvement over any 3B not named Cabrera (or Headley) so if he's available he will draw a lot of interest. He'd fit right in on this squad since he played like absolute s*** in August and September. His ridiculous first 3 months covers up the fact that he was just awful in the 2nd half.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Oct 2, 2012 -> 10:11 AM) This pretty much should be the epithet on 2012 Mark Gonzales @MDGonzales Sox's 8 hits with runners in scoring position Monday night were one less they hit during their last 10 losses. The team collapsed under pressure and has been doing so for 6 years.
-
QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Oct 2, 2012 -> 10:59 AM) Please stop fading each year at the tail end of the season. It sucks to watch hungry teams go on a tear in September every year to make a push for the playoffs and we continually run out of gas and play uninspired. Yeah, I'd be less pissed if I hadn't already seen this story the two seasons prior to this one. They just waited a little longer to blow it this year.

QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Oct 1, 2012 -> 11:13 PM) FWIW, Showtime has put both Homeland and Dexter season premiers on YouTube. I'm too lazy to dig up links for you, but FYI. Ballsy. I like it.

That was just a thorough, team victory. You could see Cutler gaining confidence in that second half, confidence he sorely needed. Things are looking good with the Jags on Sunday afternoon and then the BYE.
