QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jul 4, 2012 -> 10:49 PM) If the Bulls were healthy, they might have won it all this year. Rose, Deng and Noah all hurt. The one constant is Rose, Deng, and Noah not being 100% at critical times. This is because we go for best record in the league each year and ride our horses 40+ minutes and they break down.

QUOTE (RZZZA @ Jul 4, 2012 -> 09:55 PM) So let's add up the teams Bulls fans apparently think we're inferior to... Heat, Lakers, OKC...anyone else? That's certainly a good start.

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Jul 4, 2012 -> 09:55 PM) Nash is 62 years old. I give this a big yawn unless they get Howard. Thunder still the team to beat in the West. Drugs are bad.

The one constant in the NBA is the Lakers getting elite talent for nothing.

Apparently Noah's ankle is still f***ed. France's Joakim Noah will miss the Olympics due to a severely sprained left ankle that has still not fully healed. It's hard to imagine the injury keeping him out of training camp, but you never know. Noah suffered the injury back on May 4 against the Sixers in the playoffs, and this is a big blow to France.

QUOTE (Cali @ Jun 29, 2012 -> 12:39 PM) Man, if Robin...or really anyone else wins a World Series with the Sox Greg will have no legs to stand on anymore. Maybe he'll resort to "Well Ozzie gave the Sox their FIRST World Championship!" That would be about number 8,293,450 of the things that would matter to me if/when the Sox win another Championship.

Suter and Parise signed identical contracts. How cute. -
Melo and his ball are displeased.

Zach Parise has inked a 13-year deal with the Minnesota Wild worth $98 million. To be honest, new players are fun, but that's a f***ton for a player who had 69 points last season. -

I didn't really expect anything on the 4th. -
I'm still offended they re-booted this franchise so quickly. And off I go to the theater.

QUOTE (Greyone @ Jul 2, 2012 -> 09:56 PM) I wonder if they already have a deal for Kane in place if Parise accepts, because I can't see them taking on that big of a contract without moving one in return. But I'm no expert on the Hawks/ NHL cap situations. Even with how out of favor he's fallen with some Hawks fans (including myself), the Blackhawks would have zero problem moving Kaner. If somehow the Hawks could sign Parise and trade Kane for Miller, this team would be SICK. Then ship off Crawford to a desperate team and find some way to magically improve the blue line. -
QUOTE (ZoomSlowik @ Jul 3, 2012 -> 10:18 AM) They'd have Dwight Howard, the one guy in the league that can actually punish the Heat inside. Plus Gerald Wallace is the kind of athlete that can at least make Lebron work offensively. I'm not sure they'll have enough around those 4 guys to win it, but they'd be considerably more dangerous than anyone else in the east. Gerald Wallace is a 30 year old with the nickname "Crash". He will be a non-factor soon enough. They'd be good, but I'd still bet on the Miami LeBrons.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 3, 2012 -> 09:22 AM) Just for the record, if this happens, there will be team I hate more than the Me-ami Heat. At least the Nets would still get smoked by the Heat. LBJ > All

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jul 2, 2012 -> 02:22 PM) Well it was scheduled for tonight and was to be shown live on NBC. But the woman who originally was declared in 3rd place has withdrawn from the runoff. Oh, lame. -

QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Jul 2, 2012 -> 04:29 PM) He didn't call for it. The media just showed up to his agent's office and pretty much demanded he say something. Ah, well, that's just damn stupid then. My apologies to Mr. Parise if he ever reads this. -
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 2, 2012 -> 04:32 PM) Deron Williams Dwight Howard Joe Johnson Gerald Wallace Makings of a pretty solid lineup? Johnson and Wallace arent' #1 options but they don't need to be, even if they're paid like it. They don't have Dwight.

QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Jul 2, 2012 -> 04:19 PM) I know teams have back channels to talk to these guys before July 1, but signing 5-6 year mega deals in the first few hours, or even days has seemed so stupid to me. It's a monumental decision that effects a ton of people. I have never had a problem with these guys taking time before signing the dotted line. Yeah, I just don't see the purpose of the press conference. -

QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Jul 2, 2012 -> 03:15 PM) I'm ok with signing Parise and dealing Kane for a #1 goalie, if that's the plan. I'd cream.
