  1. QUOTE (WilliamTell @ Jul 8, 2012 -> 11:27 PM) More normal than Rafael Belliard hitting a homer I suppose. Digging in the stats vault! Or you are old as f***.
  2. QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Jul 11, 2012 -> 07:00 AM) The rules that moved the kickoffs up to the 35 pretty much destroyed Hester's value. Apparently punt returns no longer exist. He returned 3 kicks for touchdowns last year, 2 on punts, 1 on the kickoff. For the last five years, the Bears have ranked among the top three teams in average starting field position, averaging better than the 33. Hester has returned 333 kicks and scored 17 touchdowns (12 on punts, 5 on returns). So, based on a nine-year sample, there is better than a 1-in-20 chance Hester will take a kick to the house. Yup, no value.
  3. QUOTE (DaveBrown85 @ Jul 10, 2012 -> 09:43 PM) your point? Fake boobs are lame.
  4. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Jul 10, 2012 -> 09:25 PM) This Pickler character has a sweet rack. Amirite? They are fake.
  5. This is the most boring All-Star Game in my 29 year life.
  6. QUOTE (soxfan49 @ Jul 10, 2012 -> 06:29 PM) That's over simplifying things...how? You said Kane = Plekanec. Case closed.
  7. And thus kills the return for Ozzie Guillen! Dodgers acquired INF Osvaldo Martinez from the White Sox for cash considerations. Martinez, who was acquired from the Marlins last September as part of the Ozzie Guillen deal, was hitting just .178 with zero homers and a .450 OPS over 230 plate appearances with Triple-A Charlotte this season. The 24-year-old will serve as organizational depth. http://www.rotoworld.com/player/mlb/6410/osvaldo-martinez
  8. Nice, using PlayOn I can now utilize hbo go via a PS3 app.
  9. QUOTE (RZZZA @ Jul 10, 2012 -> 01:19 PM) Almost made it through an entire offseason without any legal controversy. But we don't know if Hester and his cousin are even close. I have cousins, but I never see them. This isn't Bears' controversy, it's just some whacked out relative of one of the players.
  10. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jul 10, 2012 -> 02:21 PM) How does this make any sense at all? They are trying to drag 3rd and 4th teams into the deal to make it work, period. If they could have just done a straight up trade, then why didnt they just do it in the first place? QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Jul 10, 2012 -> 02:23 PM) It only makes sense if the Magic are relenting and willing to take a s***ty deal from the Brook. OR perhaps the Nets flip Joe Johnson...
  11. The Magic really need to start looking at teams regardless if Dwight will extend there. They can certainly at least clear his cap space and likely drop another albatross contract on one of these clubs.
  12. There really is nothing to misinterpret. Just say you were wrong and everyone moves right along and we start talking about Kirk Hinrich again.
  13. QUOTE (WHarris1 @ Jul 10, 2012 -> 11:55 AM) Well that, and the Bears built the NFL's smallest stadium. I hate this city and those who planned that so f***ing hard. They should have something akin to the seating of Cowboys Stadium.
  14. QUOTE (RZZZA @ Jul 10, 2012 -> 12:01 PM) To me a super star is, like...Babe Ruth, Pele, Michael Jordan, Muhammad Ali, Wayne Gretzky. Rose sells a lot of jerseys, I get why people consider him a super star but I don't agree. No biggie, we can move on from this conversation now Those are "legends".
  15. QUOTE (RZZZA @ Jul 10, 2012 -> 11:44 AM) To me, a superstar is someone who non-NBA fans know. Their name is known in Asia, in the Middle East, in Europe and in South America. They're bigger than the NBA. Guys like Durant and Griffin are great players but they're not bigger than the NBA, they're not household names. I think you have no idea how popular Kevin Durant, Dwight Howard, and Derrick Rose are, especially in Asia.
  16. QUOTE (RZZZA @ Jul 10, 2012 -> 11:39 AM) seriously? Seriously? You're making fun of me now because I have a different definition of 'superstar' than you? Grow up That wasn't making fun, it was pointing out exactly what you typed. I do not agree with you, however. If you don't define Kevin Durant as an NBA superstar (you know, guy who has won 3 consecutive scoring titles), then your definition is whack.
  17. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 10, 2012 -> 11:28 AM) I sooo wish the Bulls would take a chance on him with this in mind. Yeah, but then you are out Joakim Noah and you are truly, truly building from the ground up around a 25 year old Derrick Rose if/when he's back to full health. That's hard to do. I'd love to ditch Deng and other s*** (Mirotic, who would make more sense financially for the Magic moving forward), the Bobcats' pick, and Taj Gibson, but I do feel you have to keep Noah around to play with Derrick and whatever other players you can find 2-3 years down the road.
  18. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jul 10, 2012 -> 11:25 AM) Superstars: Kobe LeBron Dwight Rose Wade Melo Griffin Durant At the very least, Rose and Durant are superstars for sure. Durant is the second best player and Rose is second in jersey sales. greg 2.0/RZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZA does not agree. His grandmother has only heard of Kobe and LeBron.
  19. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Jul 10, 2012 -> 11:22 AM) Even if the Lopez contract is an albatross (it will be), if you can get enough pieces to get another lottery pick then you've done pretty well for yourself. They'll suck for a few years, draft well, get the next superstar big man and be in this same position in 10 years. Or let him walk and get a trade exception and tons of cap space. That has more value than Brook f***ing Lopez.
  20. QUOTE (RZZZA @ Jul 10, 2012 -> 11:21 AM) Thats all on your definition of a superstar. Bynum is no household name. Your grandma doesn't know who Bynum is. To me, there are only 2 superstars in the league: Kobe and Lebron. Everyone else is just a star. My grandma doesn't know who Dwight Howard is - I'd venture she'd raise an eyebrow to the names Kobe Bryant and LeBron James. Also, you only define the league as having two superstars, you are a crazy little boy.
  21. QUOTE (WHarris1 @ Jul 10, 2012 -> 11:10 AM) Obviously that is better than letting him walk but it doesn't mean its the best possible deal available. I'd rather let him walk than be stuck with Brook Lopez on a max contract.
  22. QUOTE (RZZZA @ Jul 10, 2012 -> 11:04 AM) Sure is. But he ain't no super star I'm going to go ahead and declare 18.7/11.8, with 2 blocks, low turnovers, and 56% from the field and 70% from the line a "superstar".
  23. Yeah, this four way trade is so dumb for the Magic.
  24. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jul 10, 2012 -> 10:25 AM) And to whomever said Bynum isn't a star, they must not have watched the dude play this year. I think the guy is a total punk, but he's one dominating center and this past year was the best center in the league. He's still incredibly young and works incredibly hard (despite all his major issues, the dude was in tremendous shape and he's taken major steps forward each of the past couple years when he's on the court). I agree with this entire paragraph. Bynum is a monster and the definitive 2nd best center in the NBA. He's certainly a knucklehead, as evidenced by his random decision to start shooting 3's last year for a couple game stretch, but he's a monster.
