QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Mar 8, 2012 -> 07:50 AM) And beating the Heat. Not possible.

That was so f***ing awesome. Derrick. Rose.

The Bulls keep letting the Bucks hand around.

John Carter is apparently awful.

QUOTE (kev211 @ Mar 6, 2012 -> 06:03 PM) I just splurged and bought mlb.tv. Should be a fun year watching baseball now! It's so amazing on the ps3.

QUOTE (Boogua @ Mar 7, 2012 -> 03:05 PM) It's point per attempt? Oh wow. It's worse than I thought. I thought it was just attempts... So players get more points per long two attempt than in the midrange. Yikes. Carlos Boozer's shot is a rarity in the league. HE'S VALUABLE YAY!!
-
That graph is set up by points per attempt, not field goal percentage. Since 3's are worth more than 2's, that probably explains a lot.

QUOTE (Brian @ Mar 6, 2012 -> 06:11 AM) What took you so long to view Se7en? One of the best 3rd acts in a movie. This.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Mar 7, 2012 -> 01:26 PM) It is creepy, but that is extremely cool. that is the survival instinct at its finest right there Agreed.

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Mar 7, 2012 -> 11:37 AM) First, cut the "blown", comment, it isn't necessary. Wait, what? It was an accurate statement.

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Mar 7, 2012 -> 11:34 AM) D'Antoni might still get fired. I realize Lin has probably saved him for the near term, but the team's superstars are still completely underperforming. Whether you look at Melo or Amare (who is having a bad year by his standards). The only bright side is, I got a feeling, Melo will eventually move on from New York and he might just turn back into the player that he previously was. Like you Steve, I thought Melo was well above average in Denver. I think the difference is George Karl is an elite coach, where as D'Antoni, is a solid coach, but a very flawed coach and I don't think his overall style is conducive to Melo. Yeah, agreed. D'Antoni's system is too flawed.

This press conference is great. It's always nice to know people care, and both parties are crying through their speeches.

QUOTE (Boogua @ Mar 7, 2012 -> 10:41 AM) Is this an all time list or a current list? I think a current list would be way more fun.

QUOTE (GoodAsGould @ Mar 7, 2012 -> 10:52 AM) Rip isn't exactly a stellar defender if I recall, so don't think the downgrade would be that big. Not too mention Rose was probably below avg. defender before Thibs got here, I'm sure on a contender Martin could at least put forth avg. defense. Everyone has blown Rip's defensive abilities far beyond what they are because of one quote typed up when the Bulls signed him claiming that he gave D-Wade fits. However, that was referring to the offensive end, not the defensive end, because Rip runs around screens. It had nothing to do with his defense.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Mar 7, 2012 -> 10:38 AM) A marginal upgrade at the cost of depth isn't going to push them over the top. It is one thing to consider if you can get back Dwight Howard. Its quite another for a Martin. Well, Kevin Martin isn't a marginal upgrade, and my proposal included Rip Hamilton who has been of nil benefit and Kyle Korver whom we wouldn't miss with Kevin Martin on the roster. Again, not like it would ever happen.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Mar 7, 2012 -> 10:26 AM) Part of the Bulls value is having a psuedo-starter as a back up to pretty much every position on the floor. That depth is huge. Any deal that doesn't bring back a superstar has to be mindful of not destroying that depth. ARGH the Bulls are such a well-built regular season team. Hopefully they can get hot when it really matters.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Mar 7, 2012 -> 10:13 AM) The rest of their roster is not as good as they appeared either. Steve Novak is not the best shooter in the NBA and Lin is not the best PG, but they plays like it for a couple weeks. Well, no doubt. If Landry Fields is running the point, it still doesn't excuse Melo just standing around watching everyone until he gets fed the rock. Last night was so painful to watch.

LOL, caught up with The Walking Dead. Never have I seen a show let storylines run for so long. They couldn't even put Dale out of his misery without Dale having to raise his head to the freaking gun. That show is so awful. It's legitimately terrible. There is not one interesting storyline that they don't butcher. Yet, I cannot stop watching. It's fun-bad.

I agree with Jason, by the way. A healthy CJ Watson has a lot of value for the Chicago Bulls. He won't be a contract casualty if a deal is made, not that I expect one to be made.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Mar 7, 2012 -> 09:47 AM) I only wonder how long it is before NY truly turns on him. They are already waffling, and when they lose it, its gonna be ugly. He was supposed to be their superstar savior, but he is just part of the problem He IS the problem.

I'm going to go ahead and admit that I've been wrong about Carmelo Anthony. I loved him on the Nuggets, he scored, rebounded, chipped in dimes, and hell, he helped my fantasy teams year-in and year-out. I was jaded by fantasy. How stupid. He's a completely worthless player without the ball in his hands. Watching that game last night, he just stands around, he doesn't set screens, he doesn't run around to get open, it's sad to see a player of such talent seem so lost and/or disinterested. This is obviously the worst he has ever played, and I know there's a super star in him like the guy who carried the 2008 USA Olympic team, but that guy doesn't seem willing to come out with the Knicks just yet. You can't have a superstar who so willingly removes himself from the offense unless it's crunch time. I apologize to all whom I wronged by stated Carmelo Anthony is awesome. He apparently is only awesome when he wants to be, and that's inexcusable.

QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Mar 7, 2012 -> 02:29 AM) His shooting is still good. Guys a professional, even in his s*** situation. Never said a bad thing about Chicago. Martin is currently b****ing. BG is also a clutch mofo. You are thinking of a Ben Gordon who does not exist any more. Kevin Martin was a monster last year, and if it weren't for his coach he'd be a monster this year. We're talking about a guy who can create his OWN SHOT off the dribble, draw fouls aplenty, and bury the rock from anywhere. It's a cream dream, but comparing Kevin Martin to Ben Gordon is just downright silly. Kevin Martin is 5th in the NBA among shooting guards in PER this year, despite being dicked around by his coach.

QUOTE (chw42 @ Mar 6, 2012 -> 07:55 PM) I prefer the Jose Bautista cover. That's only on the Canadian version, sadly.
