QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 1, 2011 -> 05:30 PM) Everything...I have no idea why any player would ever want to play for this organization if they have to worry that anything that happens behind the scenes could be fair game to be exposed to the media by the manager's kid. You mean like what their wife looks like?
-
QUOTE (Big Hurtin @ Aug 1, 2011 -> 05:25 PM) The beauty of Teahen's tweet was that it was deliberately vague, but obvious who he was referring to. Oney took the bait. Eh, there really was zero need to start s***, and all it winds up doing is embarrassing his wife? He's probably paying for it today.

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Aug 1, 2011 -> 04:59 PM) MAKE SURE TO USE THE #oneysucks hashtag and post here what you posted on twitter! I feel like Frank the Tank when he goes streaking in Old School.

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Aug 1, 2011 -> 04:57 PM) I say we Twitter bomb Ozzie about this... I'll start. Steve9347 Steve Harnden @OzzieGuillen Hey Oz, at what point do your son's actions in response to your baseball team become your problem? #oneysucks MAKE SURE TO USE THE #oneysucks hashtag and post here what you posted on twitter!

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Aug 1, 2011 -> 04:55 PM) This needs to be pulled out into a separate thread. Entitled "Oney Guillen is a douche bag."
-
The whole situation is ridiculous. You don't talk about someone's wife; dude needs his ass beaten, and clearly Ozzie shares way too much White Sox business with him. I really wish the Guillens would ALL go away and we could get a legitimate manager in here pronto.

QUOTE (flavum @ Aug 1, 2011 -> 04:31 PM) cool... http://twitter.com/#!/CSNChi_Beatnik/s...143508120080384 Ozzie--just f***ing leave please. Yup, at this point just get rid of the entire Guillen family. Feel free to ax KW while you're at it. Oh, and obviously Greg Walker could go... hmmm, gut the entire organization?

QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Aug 1, 2011 -> 03:16 PM) Neither will you this year at the United Center this year and I couldn't be happier about that Yeah, but I will eventually. Derrick Rose will be there, too.

QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Aug 1, 2011 -> 01:05 PM) I now love Mark Teahen. This. That's all it took.

QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Aug 1, 2011 -> 12:04 PM) Have fun doing the wave, "getting loud" when you are told to do so, and being an obnoxious ass by getting up and down as you please. I actually believe this goes over well in a ballpark on the north side of Chicago When I go to a game at any of the other 29 ballparks I'll have fun actually paying attention to the game. Well, you can go hang out at KeyArena during future NBA seasons and you won't have to worry about the wave.
-
What's up with the wave hate? Seriously, is fun so abhored by everyone? Do I participate? No. Does it offend me that kids get a kick out of it? Absolutely not. The game is not solely for stat nerds who need to see every 73 mph curveball thrown by Mark Buehrle. Kids are very important for the game, and the wave is a free activity that looks very cool to them. Any person here who says they didn't love the wave as a child is dead inside. Christ, the wave is 100x more entertaining than an Alex Rios at-bat.

It's weird that two of the best wideouts ever (Terrell Owens and Randy Moss) are flaming out like this, but I guess it makes sense. If they are no longer elite, why put up with their bs? -
I'd envisioned them using creative CGI to make Bane seem much, much larger (but realistically). Perhaps they still will.

QUOTE (smalls2598 @ Aug 1, 2011 -> 12:18 PM) ESPN's Adam Schefter reports Randy Moss has abruptly decided to retire from the NFL. Yeesh. There must have been nil interest. -
QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jul 30, 2011 -> 01:53 PM) Thats who I hope it going to be on the block, not Jeff and Jordan. Win.

Jerry Angelo needs to take PR courses or something. You don't say "this isn't a wake, no one died". It's so easy, just say "Olin has been a Hall of Fame player for the Bears for over a decade, but it was time to move in another direction and we thank him for everything he contributed to the Bears." To me, Olin Kreutz, clearly enjoyed the lockout and wanted to retire, you don't leave $4 million on the table if you want to play. Jeff Saturday makes $2.5 million for crying out loud. The Bears did everything right in this situation save sending that blowhard Angelo out there to make it seem worse than it is. -
I've been championing Frank as hitting coach for awhile, but I doubt Kenny or Oz would ever allow that.

I will say this, since we're all focusing on the negative (even though lots of players remain). I f***ing love the Marion Barber signing. He's a high-motor guy who is going to make those 3rd and shorts really attainable. -
QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jul 31, 2011 -> 06:01 PM) what if he's a Satan-worshipping Michael Bolton fan? And has a ponytail? Or looks like Colin Farrell's character in Horrible Bosses and does coke in the USCF bathrooms? If he makes good moves, he's great.

QUOTE (kitekrazy @ Jul 31, 2011 -> 05:58 PM) Like this one. 8) We're going to regret not trading Quentin, Danks, Floyd, Ramirez and Thornton when we had a chance...the payoff in the offseason won't be as good. We have no idea what was really offered on the other side. Our source is media speculation. So I consider that statement ignorance at the Phil Rogers level. I'd rather have tossed some of these players just to get a different look out there. It's going to be a struggle watching the next two months. This team is just so annoying. Paul Konerko is the only reason I tune in any more, since I owe him that much. (PS - hopefully his leg is alright).

QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Jul 31, 2011 -> 05:49 PM) It's ridiculous that Kreutz wasn't brought back for only $500k more but it's also ridiculous that he didn't just take $4m. It's time to move on though, and the players have to as well. Kreutz was going down hill, I just need the Bears to do something with that O-Line. If we head into 2011 with Gabe Carimi as the only addition on the O-Line, while slightly downgrading at center, I will be a pretty unhappy camper. Cutler deserves protection. -
