Ozzie throws Lillibridge under the bus, spares Rios
Steve9347 replied to caulfield12's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Toronto just f***ing loves it. -
QUOTE (kwolf68 @ Aug 2, 2011 -> 11:39 AM) butt buddies Come on.

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Aug 2, 2011 -> 11:36 AM) I don't know, if you look about 10 miles to the north, I think that guy has easily done a worse job. I gotta agree with Little Hurt, here. Ozzie has had a woeful season, though. His mis-management of the outfield and Peavy stand alone.

QUOTE (kwolf68 @ Aug 2, 2011 -> 11:29 AM) Maybe the 'stench of piss' comment was out of line, but I've seen people like this before. I'm all for giving people a fair shake, but the Gullens have NO CLASS, NONE, ZERO, ZILCH...their sense of entitlement and their mode of arrogance is just breathtaking. It's one thing for Ozzie to brag about his wealth, which is categorically pathetic, but for his son to act like just as big of an ass tells me the issues are endemic to the entire family. But I'll still say my SOP comment could have also been handled better. My point about the SOP is they are wealthy now, but they are still rednecks (redneck doesn't have to be Southern White either). I believe Oney stands alone in his idiocy. Ozzie Guillen, Jr. isn't all bad, while Ozzie himself, despite being somewhat of a nincompoop, is incredibly enjoyable. I just wish he made better managerial decisions.

QUOTE (T R U @ Aug 2, 2011 -> 10:03 AM) I have no problem with Ozzie, hes a good manager. Drugs are bad, Carl.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Aug 2, 2011 -> 10:57 AM) @Buster_ESPN Most 3-strikeout games in majors this year: Adam Dunn, 18; Austin Jackson, 9, Ryan Raburn 9; Curtis Granderson, Miguel Olivo 8.

How bad is Alex Rios on the suck-o-meter?

Hellofa topic here. -
QUOTE (kwolf68 @ Aug 2, 2011 -> 11:02 AM) The Guillens are rednecks. They are people who came from nothing and got rich but don't know how to handle it and the stench of piss still stays with them. JAYZUZ

QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Aug 2, 2011 -> 10:05 AM) The full image, this needs a caption: do NOT go in there! -
QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Aug 2, 2011 -> 10:20 AM) I no longer plan on seeing a game in person until Ozzie is gone. I just want the team to not be boring. I said to my wife last night, "I just wish they'd go on SOME sort of run so I could go to another game and not feel like I'm lighting my money on fire."
-
QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Aug 2, 2011 -> 10:00 AM) The day Ozzie is fired will be the happiest for me as a fan since we won it all. No exaggeration. Nah, the blackout game by far exceed that.

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Aug 2, 2011 -> 10:10 AM) Try me. Name me a person in St. Louis that I don't know. Biff Tannen

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Aug 2, 2011 -> 10:06 AM) Liar. There's just no way you know everyone in that city.

QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Aug 2, 2011 -> 09:47 AM) I applaud this post. Sox fans do not get the credit they deserve. Most look down on them for "not supporting" their team. It's quite the opposite. We have shown that we will support the team if the product is worth supporting. If it's not, we precipitate change with our wallets. It's actually pretty wild that the Sox have only made the playoffs once in a weak division since they won the World Series.

QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ Aug 2, 2011 -> 08:04 AM) Jay, I am sorry for what you are going to endure (again) this year. Yup, pretty sad of the Bears to ignore such an obvious hole when so many options were available to fix the situation. -
QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Aug 1, 2011 -> 08:54 PM) Jakes fastball up to around 92 now QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Aug 1, 2011 -> 08:56 PM) f*** the haters. Jake Peavy b****es. QUOTE (Nokona @ Aug 1, 2011 -> 08:57 PM) JFP We're all so pathetic. All we want is SOME sign to cheer, so we're stupidly getting excited about JFP stepping up while our pathetic offense s***s the bed (albeit, 2 runs against CC is more than I thought we'd get anyway, but still...)

So where exactly are the Bears going to spend the rest of this mystery money? -
QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Aug 1, 2011 -> 07:19 PM) In a masochistic way, this is the most fun thing that's happened with this team in a while. It honestly feels more interesting than the Teahen/Jackson trade. It's less painful to think about Tweets than to think about giving away a free Colby Rasmus simply because Kenny's made so many horrific signings and trades.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 1, 2011 -> 05:33 PM) Seriously, how have none of the Chicago Sportswriters figured this out yet? I know it took us nearly a day to get it, but we're not paid to see what Oney says. Maybe there's an "Oney said something stupid" article prohibition. All someone has to do is tweet Dan Bernstein (or send them an email) or possibly Law Holmes and tie it together. B&B would love this.
