  1. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Apr 25, 2011 -> 02:22 PM) Since I dont have a PS, is PSN being down related to the GeoHot/Sony thing? All I know is my MLB.tv doesn't work on PS3 during this, so I'm pissed. Going to have to watch the Jered Weaver start tonight on my lappy.
  2. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 25, 2011 -> 01:59 PM) Link There's been discussion on that system in the Video Games thread.
  3. QUOTE (knightni @ Apr 25, 2011 -> 01:00 PM) http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/news?slug=ap-elijahdukesarrested Elijah Dukes arrested again. The world is round.
  4. QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ Apr 25, 2011 -> 12:46 PM) Bickell's last stride is six feet prior to the hit, and he is standing straight up when he hits him. In both plays the defender is lowering their head to skate around the net and the forward is going through the player to make the hit. I thought Torres had more of an intent. Due to his jersey color, it seems.

QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Apr 25, 2011 -> 12:08 PM) I agree more with this sentiment. It was good enough, but that movie should not have been nominated for Best Picture. Speaking of Best Picture, I saw King's Speech this weekend. It was solid, though definitely not my Best Picture of the year.
  6. QUOTE (flippedoutpunk @ Apr 25, 2011 -> 09:11 AM) How about that PSN? Sheesh... It's been almost a week. Lesson? Don't f*** with hackers.

    QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Apr 24, 2011 -> 04:35 PM) So 127 hours wasn't good. I loved it.
  8. Jon Scott is an idiot.
  9. D-Rose is in a walking boot and highly questionable for Game 5.

QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Apr 20, 2011 -> 05:33 PM) So I've been catching up on the classic gangster movies. Any recommendations for ones I should definitely see? Gigli
  11. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Apr 23, 2011 -> 08:49 PM) Growing up in the Chicago Stadium and then the UC prior to 2009 makes you hate the Wings, as well as their fans, more than any other team. Not necessarily because the team is always "classless" on the ice because that hasn't always been the case, but it is a hatred that runs deep. Yeah, my disdain for the Wings was born in the 90s.
  12. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Apr 23, 2011 -> 03:22 AM) I personally think we should keep Rose and then just trade the rest of the team for another superstar and try being more like the Knicks. I hear that's the way to win championships. Agreed, they are dominant.
  13. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Apr 22, 2011 -> 11:02 PM) That's false. I said I wouldn't be upset if that trade went down. Scroll back. Hm. Well, that in and of itself is offensive, but my mistake, yo. I'd hunt down Gar-Pax and execute them if such a trade were to be made.
  14. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Apr 22, 2011 -> 10:40 PM) Here's the thing...the series is 3-2 Vancouver, and there are two games left. Doesn't really matter how it got there, someone was going to be up 3-2 after 5 anyway. We're not trying to win 4 games anymore, just 2. Nothing that has happened in games 1-5 really matters anymore, all that matters is what happens for 60 (or more) minutes Sunday. Save that Luongo injury that may or may not have happened!
  15. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Apr 22, 2011 -> 10:35 PM) Dude. They said CP3 is better than Rose right. Not that they'd trade for him J4L said he'd trade Rose for CP3. That is the statement I have found so insulting and will not concede ground on.
  16. This is so f***ing lame. I thought this team was going to be dominant. Heaven forbid we ever have a hot start since 2006.
  17. We're back to reporting about Jake playing long catch. The cycle of "f*** me" continues.
  18. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Apr 22, 2011 -> 10:13 PM) Howard threw the elbow at Pachulia to start the whole thing. Then Pachulia got upset and started talking, Richardson said something to him, Pachulia headbutted Richardson, who then slapped him back. It was pretty ridiculous. Whoa, there was a headbutt?? Of all the nights to be out to a quiet dinner with the wife! Thank God for NBA Gametime!
  19. QUOTE (lostfan @ Apr 22, 2011 -> 07:19 PM) I don't know... I mean you guys are taking things that maybe 2 posters have said and exaggerating it so you can chest thump or... something. What are you even trying to accomplish actually? I mean, really, I don't know. From what I read, they want to be cool and different and think that throwing unproven statistics in our faces will make us say "you're right, the Bulls should totally offer D-Rose for CP3, because that would be brilliant!" Oh, and that I can't say that's a crazy idea without being a labeled a "homer", even though Rose is going to win MVP at 22 years old. Infuriating.
  20. QUOTE (bmags @ Apr 22, 2011 -> 05:26 PM) I was expecting him to take over once hibbard left, he didn't. He needs to back people up more, especially hansbrough when that's who is guarding him. Hibbert
  21. QUOTE (lostfan @ Apr 22, 2011 -> 05:19 PM) It's different in the playoffs when you're facing elite front lines though. Boozer is only, what, 6'7"? He has decent post moves but it's not like he's much of a ballhandler or anything that'd mitigate the height disadvantage when he gets trapped under a 7 footer. 6'9"
  22. QUOTE (lostfan @ Apr 22, 2011 -> 05:05 PM) Totally ignoring the Rose-Paul bulls*** again so I can post an observation: Boozer appears to suck badly, especially at finishing around the rim, because he was MUCH more efficient on the pick and roll in Utah with D-Will feeding him. So here, he's always fumbling the ball, or it seems like he's going up weak and getting punked but that's not really on him, it's on Rose. Rose is always about a second late getting him the ball, he'll see Boozer in the post and feed him the ball, but by the time it's down there Boozer's lost his advantage. In Utah the plays were by design, but in Chicago it looks like a reaction from Rose as a kind of fallback when he can't penetrate. Same for Noah, actually, but not as pronounced since Noah's not really a go-to option. This isn't really because it's something Rose can't do, it's more because Boozer missed so much time to start the year, and they didn't play together in camp because of Boozer's broken wrist. It's something they'll have to work on in the offseason regardless of how far they make it in the playoffs. I think there might be something off with Boozer... earlier in the season (and especially during Noah's injury) he was scoring at a fine pace. He seems almost useless lately.
  23. This is dumb. The weather has been abnormally atrocious for baseball, while the Indians have had 3 home games since their opening week surprise... not much of a sample size there.
  24. QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Apr 22, 2011 -> 03:17 PM) . Myself, J4L and few others have proven through stats and advanced stats that Chris Paul is the better player. This isn't baseball, chief.
