QUOTE (TomPickle @ Feb 1, 2011 -> 05:22 PM) I just spent an hour shoveling, by the time I walked back to the front door the walkway looked like it did before I started shoveling. Ha, I'm right near you. I spent 20 minutes shoveling as we had drifts of 3 feet in the driveway. It's starting to return to the same way... I guess I'll skip the gym tonight since I'll be getting a workout every two hours anyway.

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Feb 1, 2011 -> 03:47 PM) I do sort of like heat in the house though. Yes, I was kinda saying that your situation will suck.

QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Jan 27, 2011 -> 08:31 AM) I wouldn't say he carried his team. He only has 8 touchdowns in this years playoffs and 800 yards passing. Thats really average. He didn't do jack in the game that got them to the Super Bowl and is lucky he squeaked by a team that had to run a 3rd string passer out there for an entire half.

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Feb 1, 2011 -> 03:42 PM) Just got home to no power. Tethering the EVO 4G to get on the Internet. It's getting cold in here. :/ I won't mind being snowed in as long as I have access to all of my goodies.

QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Feb 1, 2011 -> 02:59 PM) Not to directly compare Stephen Curry and Jimmer Fredette, but Curry is only 6'3. Curry seems to be a bit quicker than Fredette, but if you can shoot and have good ball-handling skills, you will get some run. Curry is lightyears more talented.

QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Feb 1, 2011 -> 01:34 PM) I think my wife and I might be switching from Verizon to ATT... I never thought those words would come out of my mouth. My wife wants a smart phone and the cheapest family plan with data is $20 cheaper on ATT than it is on Verizon What about Sprint?

QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Feb 1, 2011 -> 02:26 PM) My office sent out a nice message saying that if we don't feel we can safely drive into work tomorrow, we can use paid time off. We have the "work from home" declaration for tomorrow, but the office hasn't closed yet today. I live 5 minutes away though so it doesn't really matter.

QUOTE (lostfan @ Jan 31, 2011 -> 05:59 PM) My wife is still a moron, but I got her W2 (FINALLY on the last day) and it turns out I won't owe after all. *wipes brow* That must be nice.

QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Jan 31, 2011 -> 10:50 PM) I'll bite, but try to be brief. Some top teams, no order: Duke - They have Kyle Singler and Nolan Smith back for their senior seasons. They have a STUD freshman - Kyrie Irving - but he got hurt (toe) in early December and hasn't played since. It is questionable whether or not he'll return at all this season. He is a do-it-all point guard and his status will determine whether or not Duke is a good tournament team or a possible favorite for the title. He's supposed to start rehab soon. Ohio State - As you said, Sullinger is a beast, no one's really been able to shut him down. They have a lot of experienced guys back and they can shoot really well, including from three point land. Kansas - They can score with the best of them, they have pretty good depth. Texas - They are led by a freshman and a sophomore. Very athletic. Good on defense. Pitt - They have a couple of pretty good guards. Is this the year they finally get to the Final Four? Some top players - Besides the guys mentioned above - Singler/Smith/Irving (if he comes back), Sullinger...some other guys: Jimmer Fredette, BYU - Stud guard. If you remember Stephen Curry from Davidson a few years ago, he is similar to him in that he'll shoot from anywhere and make it. He puts up 30+ many nights. Very fun to watch - if BYU is ever on, tune in. Kemba Walker, UCONN - Another guard, has put up huge numbers this year. If he's hot, he can carry the team at times. Jordan Hamilton, Texas - Really good scorer as a forward, he was solid when he played my Illini. Derrick Williams, Arizona - I haven't seen him play yet, but he gets a lot of ink. Supposed to be really good offensively as a forward. Other big ten names - Jon Leuer from Wisconsin, JuJuan Johnson from Purdue, Talor Battle from Penn State, Demetri McCamey from Illinois Not sure how deep you want to go here, but this is a start... I greatly appreciate this writeup. Thank you very, very much. -
Don't forget about meeeeeeeeeeeeee

This is dumb. Dude missed two games and most of two others.

I was just going to post this. That's big money.

QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Jan 31, 2011 -> 02:55 PM) I'l admit ignorance here... what makes salt pet friendly? What is the negative impact of the stuff that isn't? Google, you've done it again.
-
QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jan 31, 2011 -> 02:27 PM) Pet friendly salt I hope??? Of course.
-
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jan 31, 2011 -> 11:45 AM) Is he expected to ever really be effective again? He played 18 games so far this season, shot 35% from the field. Also...it's possible there will be no such thing as a mid-level exemption this year or ever again. Agreed on both. Redd is done and so may be the mid-level exception.

QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Jan 31, 2011 -> 01:37 PM) Put me in the Ill believe it when I see it category. Even though I created this category, knowing I'll use it over the next 2.5 months or so I did just run and pick up an extra shovel and 3 bags of salt. Just in case.

QUOTE (He_Gawn @ Jan 31, 2011 -> 12:16 PM) Been sick for the past 3 days. I sharted on my way to class today. Sucked. Place boxers in garbage, stuff ass with TP.

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jan 31, 2011 -> 09:16 AM) If they find a way to tell the Doomsday story, with all the JLA characters, and oh, what the hell, include the cool rebirth storyline, then I might, MIGHT be hooked. That would be cool, but also take like 10 movies. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jan 31, 2011 -> 11:42 AM) I still would like to see the Superman dies story arc in movie form. I know, I know, he comes back to life. I think the fight between him and doomsday would be awesome with the CGI technology being used nowadays. Welcome to my brain.

QUOTE (bmags @ Jan 31, 2011 -> 11:06 AM) I get your point, I just wish there was consistency in the superpowers of batman. There is consistency. He has none.
-
Superman's list of powers includes but is not limited to... Strength Invulnerability (which always somehow becomes affected during sh*tty movies to make us care) Flight Speed (he can run faster than Flash!) X-Ray vision Heat Vision Breath (he can inhale and exhale insane amounts, putting out fires, sucking up poisonous gas, his lungs are crazy!) Ice Breath (see above, but with freeze ability!) Super Hearing Super Vision Super Smelling Total recall Teleportation through walls (vs just busting through)
-
QUOTE (FlaSoxxJim @ Jan 31, 2011 -> 10:46 AM) Elaborate? Are you serious? Batman doesn't have an "superpowers". His powers are limited by technology and self-control.
-
QUOTE (FlaSoxxJim @ Jan 31, 2011 -> 10:43 AM) I'm going to try to break it to you gently, but they just sort of make up powers for Batman too because he's just sort of made up. Batman buys his powers... he's like Jose Canseco but not a douchebag.
-
QUOTE (bmags @ Jan 31, 2011 -> 10:33 AM) Naw, the throwing stuff into space is way worse. Also how they just sort of make up powers for superman. Ohhh and there's a lazer coming out of his chest. Yeah, Superman's powers are too all over the place. F*cking heat-vision and ice-breath... they should do an entire movie on his teenage years where he uses his x-ray vision to stare at tits.
