QUOTE (ChiTown @ Feb 6, 2011 -> 11:05 PM) I was referencing my other account, which they suspended because they couldn't take the trash talk. Bittersweet victory for me, tired of annoying Bears fans giving me s*** and being cocky all year so this was the icing on the cake how it all worked out. Football or no football next year, were repeating next year or living with this memory two season from now. Wow, I have no idea what Bears fans you are near, but every friend of mine was realistic and totally avoided talking trash based on the 2011 team. I take solace knowing that you aren't actually enjoying the Packers' victory and are still obsessed with the Bears.

QUOTE (ChiTown @ Feb 6, 2011 -> 10:36 PM) SUPER BOWL f***ING CHAMPS!!! Rodgers got his belt and the well deserved MVP. I'd like to thank the Eagles for their amazing comeback vs. the Giants for us to make the playoffs, and the Bears for "letting/not trying" vs us in week 17. What now Bears fans? chitown aka ChWRoCk2 Ha. The guy's new moniker is "ChiTown" and he's a die-hard Packer fan. Congrats on the win, but your being so focused on the Bears instead of the game that just happened is quite telling.

QUOTE (mr_genius @ Feb 6, 2011 -> 09:09 PM) Aaron Rodgers is real good I really think he might go down as a top 5 QB of all-time when all is said and done.

QUOTE (joesaiditstrue @ Feb 5, 2011 -> 11:57 PM) one of the worst games i've ever seen, when Boozer ran into Korver, oh my. it was just one of those nights.

QUOTE (knightni @ Feb 5, 2011 -> 04:05 PM) People who confuse "I could care less" with "I couldn't care less." Oh, this is my favorite so far... I HATE when people screw that up.

QUOTE (flavum @ Feb 5, 2011 -> 03:20 PM) Not knowing the difference between then and than, lose and loose, and not knowing that "alot" isn't a word. It's "a lot". Just stuff that makes me think that kids aren't being taught anything in school. Do you mean like typing in incomplete sentences?

QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Feb 5, 2011 -> 01:09 AM) Coffee does suck. I feel like people drink it/hold it more "for show" than to really drink and enjoy it. Well, you're wrong. I know it's hard to comprehend that people can have different tastes than your own, but such a concept does exist.

So Now That Pettitte Is Officially Done...
Steve9347 replied to chetkincaid's topic in Pale Hose Talk
On my lunch I caught Sportscenter talking about Pettitte's Hall of Fame chances... nary a mention of steroids. -

Normally I'd say something smart like "I doubt the market for a 37 year old who spent a year away from the game is a big one", but then again, Jim Edmonds found work last year and dat mof*cka was 40.

QUOTE (Palehosefan @ Feb 4, 2011 -> 03:42 PM) Well there goes the neighborhood. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/playoffs/201...tory?id=6090999 NFL Network's Albert Breer reports that, "no matter what they say," the Packers plan to test Steelers fill-in C Doug Legursky early and often in Super Bowl XLV. "And they expect big things from B.J. Raji," adds Breer. "I don't think Green Bay really believed (Maurkice) Pouncey would play."

QUOTE (MEANS @ Feb 4, 2011 -> 12:11 PM) yeah any old MLB logo on shirts is under the "Cooperstown Collection" umbrella, really doesn't have much to do with actual Cooperstown, similar to Hardwood Classics in NBA and Gridiron Classics in NFL and Vintage Hockey for NHL. Another artist here at work mocked up some similar designs of the other designers in our department, pretty good laugh. I believe Jeremy (knightni) had a "Free Mustache Rides" shirt for Jose Valentin available on some shirt site. PM him. -
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 4, 2011 -> 11:47 AM) I thought that for a while. Then I bounced between 3 different companies and ended up back at Sprint because the other three cheaper ones sucked. This happens all the time. I briefly had Verizon about four years ago and went crawling back to Sprint. I shall never stray again. Of course, with the everything 450 plan being 69.99 now, I couldn't care less.

QUOTE (GoodAsGould @ Feb 4, 2011 -> 11:33 AM) I do think its silly that his reasoning for saying Paul is better because of a stat he madeup, but there definitely is a lot of Rose homerism going around this season too. You can't really call it homerism when the likes of Rick Reilly and Bill Simmons are touting him for MVP. You can't be MVP and not be considered the best at your position. Rose is the real deal, and I've been saying it since Opening Day tipoff.

QUOTE (Tex @ Feb 4, 2011 -> 09:46 AM) I am surprised, with all the different varieties it seems like you'd find a few you like. I just think it tastes too watery, no matter the brand. I love coffee, and I feel like that method of brewing is not pure.

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Feb 4, 2011 -> 10:20 AM) Is there such a thing as a Kevin Love hater? The guy is good, end of story. I think he considers anyone who questions Kevin Love as a top 10 player (me, and I'm right) to be a hater.

QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Feb 4, 2011 -> 10:12 AM) Steve, I dont think I was all over the place, its more that people keep trying to twist what Im saying into nonsense. All Ive said in regards to Wade is that I do not believe he is a top 5 player. I never said he shouldnt be an All-Star. When asked who I would consider a better SG, I said Id take Lebron. Now people can say Lebron cant play the off-guard, but that is ridiculous. Its like saying Magic couldnt play PG because he was tall. Why would you want Lebron as a PF? So he can match up against bigger guys? Of course not, you want him at SG, because then a team would have to guard him with guard. Lebron is to physical for a guard he could dominate them in the paint and still has the quickness/strength to blow by them if he wanted. As for the rest, its entirely opinion on who is a top 5 player. I take scarcity into account, and I believe that SF/SG are the easiest positions to fill because there are the most amount of good players there. I think that C/PG are much more scarce and therefore when Im rating my top 5 players there were will be a general lean towards scarcity, unless the player is at a Lebron level. People are acting like Im saying hes not a one of the best players, all Im saying is he may not be one of the top 5. There are only 5 players who can fit in that group, and if I was starting a team today he would not be one of the first 5 guys I would take. This is based on my perception that he is not 100% healthy and that he may never get back there. Watching Wade play recently Im not sure how you can say his durability/health is not a question. Brian, Suggesting a SF is a better SG isn't fair. LeBron isn't a SG and hasn't taken that role, so we cannot call him a 2 guard no matter what you say. Dwyane Wade is a top 5 player in the game... he's ridiculous. His dimes have dropped due to playing with the single-most talented player in the game.
