  1. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 15, 2011 -> 04:33 PM) It will be interesting to see if he plays the whole five years at a good level, or if he gets lazy. Racist.
  2. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Feb 15, 2011 -> 12:37 PM) If only I could be so memorable. This is why I went custom. F*ck Phil Wellman.
  3. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 15, 2011 -> 11:56 AM) The difference in those percentages adds up to almost exactly one game if you multiply that out of a seven game series. One game is very important in a playoff series. I assume that's what you are saying.
  4. QUOTE (chisoxfan09 @ Feb 15, 2011 -> 11:22 AM) Then why go through all this drama if it isn't about the money? If he is really that ethical and enjoys it so much he could have found a middle ground. Well, you are allowed to negotiate and get the most out of your team, but the guy isn't leaving the Cardinals. This "deadline" is a crock of s*** as well... if the Cards come up with the numbers in July, Albert will take the deal.
  5. QUOTE (PeavyTime @ Feb 15, 2011 -> 11:20 AM) They were the lower seed against Cleveland and Orlando and dismantled both teams then took the Lakers to 7. Home court isn't much of an argument. The Lakers were just a bit better. The Celtics last year are exactly the same as this year's Lakers, no sense beating your head against the wall for this ridiculous regular season. Top 4 teams Eastern Conference Boston: 24-5 Home, 15-9 Road Miami: 20-5 Home, 19-10 Road Chicago: 23-4 Home, 13-12 Road Orlando: 20-8 Home, 15-13 Road Top 4 teams Western Conference San Antonio: 25-2 Home, 21-7 Road Dallas: 20-8 Home, 18-8 Road LA Lakers: 19-8 Home, 19-10 Road OKC: 18-8 Home, 16-11 Road The top 8 teams here have a collective .779 winning percentage at home vs a .630 winning percentage on the road. You bet your sweet f***ing ass home court matters.
  6. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Feb 15, 2011 -> 11:08 AM) I just don't know why Pujols would sign that. It's just a gut feeling. St. Louis is just different in terms of baseball. We all know Albert loves it there and I don't see him leaving.
  7. In the end, the Cardinals are going to work out a deal with a buy-out past Pujols' age 37 or 38 season. Albert won't play anywhere but St. Louis.
  8. QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Feb 14, 2011 -> 07:37 PM) This. I think the only reason why people think he can be a QB in progress is because he can't play another position other than maybe TE in which is value immediately drops. With there not being too many good QB's this year, someone's going to take a risk on him because he's a leader and then 3 years down the line, they'll be dissapointed that he's a bust like Reggie Bush. Then everyone will wonder what happened. Well, if I'm a team in need of a QB, I look at a guy who has all the raw talent to succeed at the position, and just put him in a room and have him learn mechanics for 3 years. Sadly, the NFL today rarely allows for the classic treatment of QBs where they learn on the bench for multiple seasons. Everyone is rushed, but when they aren't sometimes you get a God like Aaron Rodgers...
  9. The review for Killzone by PSM was killer. 10/10.
  10. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 15, 2011 -> 08:06 AM) From Merkin's mailbag http://chicago.whitesox.mlb.com/news/artic...ws&c_id=cws From your posted mailbag. If this were last year, I'd think this part matters. However, this year is all about Kenny putting the team out there he wants and Ozzie falling in line.
  11. 93-69 Sox win the Central by 1 game. Adam Dunn parks 50. Steve is happy.
  12. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Feb 15, 2011 -> 08:12 AM) The Nuggets now supposedly want Felton, Gallinari, Curry and a 1st round pick for Melo and Chauncey. I hope that goes through. Hmm, that doesn't make sense much at all... I thought the Nuggets wanted to clear room for Ty Lawson, not bring in another PG.

    2011 TV Thread

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Feb 15, 2011 -> 07:15 AM) I'm still not sold on it. It's just OK in my opinion. I feel like the only reason I'm watching it is because it's set in Chicago. If it was some random city I'd probably give up after these 2 episodes but I'll give it a few more weeks. I liked the 2nd episode of Chicago Code a lot. It looks like they are going to smartly build in alternate “cases” along with the big one of busting the Alderman. The acting is still a bit much, and the chick’s Chicago accent is way overdone, but it’s decent.
  14. I know it means nothing, but ESPN Fantasy Draft Kit predicts Adam Dunn for 45 bombs and 119 RBI.
  15. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Feb 14, 2011 -> 04:23 PM)
  16. QUOTE (PeavyTime @ Feb 14, 2011 -> 04:16 PM) It seems like he has a buzz in advantage. Yup. There was a video last week of them testing, and it's probably next to impossible to beat a machine in timing that s***, thus I had no interest in watching.
  17. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Feb 14, 2011 -> 04:07 PM) So if you live in an area with spotty service you'll literally be holding a paperweight at times. Yeah, I'm not concerned either way. I already own the best phone on the market.
  18. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Feb 14, 2011 -> 04:02 PM) I've just got to wonder how effective that would be. I mean, I could probably live with a small amount of memory, compared to the current 16/32 versions, but having the phone turn useless every time I'm out of wifi area wouldn't seem very practical. Well, I presume it would work on 4G/3G services.
  19. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Feb 14, 2011 -> 11:48 AM) I watched a bit of the grammy's and the performances for the most part were pretty damn solid. Eminem's was A-mazing. Agreed.
  20. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Feb 14, 2011 -> 11:27 AM) The Grammys are really awful. Katy Perry was nominated for Album of the Year. How do people take this s*** serious. Music is something we can only gauge by one thing, money generated. Music reviewing and critiquing is very much based on personal preference, so those songs and albums that generate the most revenue ARE the best. That's the only way it can be defined.
  21. QUOTE (The Critic @ Feb 14, 2011 -> 09:32 AM) Bad Religion's playing with Rise Against - that's a really solid show. I know nothing about them, but that's good to hear as now I at least care about the opening act.
  22. QUOTE (Chi Town Sox @ Feb 14, 2011 -> 08:58 AM) I've never gone to Lolla before, around when do they start selling tickets? It's really nothing to worry about... the early birds are a tad cheaper, but you can literally buy tix up to the day of the show.
  23. Marion Cotillard joints 'The Dark Knight Rises" cast.
