  1. Well, he's on the Sox website. That roster looks f***ing awesome with him included.
  2. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Dec 3, 2010 -> 01:40 PM) Kalapse has made a new banner for this special occasion. Awesome work as usual.
  3. QUOTE (Kalapse @ Dec 3, 2010 -> 01:45 PM) Bill James is on the Score right now talking Dunn, I'm sure it'll be a good listen. He ranks him as the BEST power hitter in baseball.
  4. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Dec 3, 2010 -> 12:25 PM) .231/.411/.478/.890 for his career No I was not aware of something that is not true The whole RISP argument is invalid. One quick look at his stats shows quite possibly the most consistent hitter in history. His OPS, in almost all situations, is between .890 - .910. The guy is a guarantee for 38 to 40 homers. Adam Dunn simply rocks.
  5. If you have ESPN Insider, this link was sent from the heavens. I won't paste the entire article, but I'll go ahead and hook you up with some of it. http://insider.espn.go.com/mlb/blog?name=o...&id=5878412
  6. EXCELLENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I totally went dark before this was announced last night!! AJ is back, baby!
  7. QUOTE (daa84 @ Dec 2, 2010 -> 05:02 PM) over under on # of times Hawk refers to Dunn as "country strong" throughout the season ill say 30 If you're going "per game" then I'll say you are pretty close.
  8. QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Dec 2, 2010 -> 05:01 PM) KW said he gave Jerry 2 future directions at season's end: Young and cheap/All-in and expensive. Think we know now what Jerry chose. - Brett Ballantini Then let's sign Cliff Lee!
  9. QUOTE (iamshack @ Dec 2, 2010 -> 05:00 PM) There is no "Jim" present in his post I hate Soxtalk.
  10. QUOTE (b-Rye @ Dec 2, 2010 -> 04:58 PM) Thome had better numbers than Dunn in 2010 (HR Ratio, AVG, OBP). AJP/and or Konerko is now gone, Jenks is gone, expect Floyd/Danks/or Edwin Jackson to be traded. I see Putz as the only free agent we will get, no way Paulie takes less than Dunn and no way Sox can afford another 14/m per year. I hate that Soxtalk is making me dislike when the word "Jim" is followed by "Thome".
  11. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Dec 2, 2010 -> 04:48 PM) Am I really the only one who doesn't care for this move? Great, we're building the team to be station to station, hit home runs or get shut out. Haven't we gone through this all before? Burn this post.
  12. QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Dec 2, 2010 -> 04:41 PM) KW says they have room for both Dunn and Konerko, and that would be the ideal fit. - Cowley Ball is in your court Paulie. Paulie already gave us the hometeam discount once, I fully expect him to go to the best situation + paycheck. However, with Dunn in tow now, that might just be the White Sox.
  13. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Dec 2, 2010 -> 04:38 PM) Adam Dunn is just a big kid. Well-played.
  14. cst_sox cst_sox Getting the feeling that it's going to be a long winter for Sox fans - think "The Kids Can Play II.'' Let's bump that... you're an idiot, Joe Cowley.
  15. Cowley: Adam Dunn deal has been done for over 24 hours.
  16. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Dec 2, 2010 -> 03:50 PM) That's a lot of money for a guy who is basically a strict DH, but he's the premier left handed power hitter on the market, and he's damn good at what he does. You have to imagine that it's backloaded, at least a bit. You know you are getting 39.20894308509q734209583084 homers and 102.90809q80er8 RBI.
  17. SI_JonHeyman Jon Heyman rumors swirling all over chicago #cubs are in on konerko. id be stunned if jerry reinsdorf's favorite player leaves him for cubs
  18. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Dec 2, 2010 -> 03:48 PM) Wow that came on fast. That's Kenny Williams for you.
  19. pgammo Peter Gammons Dunn is 4/$56 with White Sox
  20. Chris Rongey - "Safe to say this will happen."
  21. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Dec 2, 2010 -> 03:43 PM) mlbtraderumors: Dunn, White Sox closing in on four-year $56MM deal, the LA Times reports. 8===D ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
  22. cst_sox cst_sox Several Sox players are under the belief that not only is Dunn done deal, but PK is close. Seems the demise of JR's checkbook is exaggerated
