    QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Aug 31, 2009 -> 01:35 PM) Haven't seen Basterds yet. Then you, sir, may go away now. Shoo.
  2. QUOTE (GreatScott82 @ Aug 31, 2009 -> 02:44 PM) awesome. now bring up Hudson for the rotation. Fixed that for ya.

    QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Aug 31, 2009 -> 11:43 AM) Well I hate to rain on the parade, but I thought it stunk. Than again I think Quentin stinks and I am rarely, if ever, a fan of his films. I think you, sir, have lost your mind!
  5. QUOTE (HeGone33 @ Aug 31, 2009 -> 11:43 AM) Let's assume I don't have any discs to burn on. Then spend the $10 and get some.
  6. QUOTE (La Marr Hoyt HOF @ Aug 30, 2009 -> 04:34 PM) Rios sucks ... QUOTE (knightni @ Aug 30, 2009 -> 05:12 PM) I wonder, have you read our site guidelines lately...? http://www.soxtalk.com/forums/index.php?act=boardrules Sorry Knight, but I think his post clearly falls under... "Personal attacks towards players will not be tolerated. You can question a team's/player(s)' performance but not as people themselves."... despite the fact that he didn't elaborate. I think people are giving up on Rios way too quickly. He was a .260 hitter when he got here, and now he's getting even less playing time to figure things out. I think a full off-season under new tutelage is needed, and we'll be happy to have his defense in center next season. The PROBLEM is that we keep moving him all over the diamond and are not maximizing his value which is having him in centerfield. Centerfielders make bank, and he's going to be a pretty damn good one.
  7. The results may not be great right now (though I refuse to admit we're done), however, if they fired Kenny I'd slit my wrists. I've never seen a GM care more about winning than Kenny Williams, and I'm glad he gives it his best shot regardless of the situation. We're f***ing lucky to have him on our side.
  8. 2B Alexei SS Nix (or alternative) 3B Beckham I can't believe we'd be so quick to deal away Alexei when he played a fine 2B last year.
  9. I got to play a heavy dose of Batman: Arkham Asylum, and it is farking sweet, and incredibly deep.

    I adored both Zissou and Darjeeling.
  11. QUOTE (MHizzle85 @ Aug 29, 2009 -> 11:11 AM) I think you're the only one. I think you're the only one. QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Aug 31, 2009 -> 12:57 AM) Same here dude, last night went to bed at 4, woke up at 10 still drunk and thirsty as hell. Went on an adventure to find water and then took a shower to feel better. You fools need to learn to chug water before you hit the sack, and keep at least one bottle next to you. If you let your body hydrate while you sleep, you'll never have a hangover again. ie instead of waiting to need an adventure for water, even if you're not thirsty before you hit the sack, chug a s***ton of water.

    QUOTE (PlaySumFnJurny @ Aug 30, 2009 -> 11:04 AM) You didn't identify the "cliches or annoyances" I guess in most of his films it seems that there are conversations in there that are there just so people say "ohhh look at the writing how interesting and different!!" In IB, the conversations all seemed believable and unforced. Not that I am dogging Tarantino, most of his films are proudly held in my collection, but it's something that's irked me, and I was glad to see it avoided in his latest film.
  13. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Aug 28, 2009 -> 04:42 PM) Ouch, evidently the deal falls through. Ouch is right.
  14. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Aug 28, 2009 -> 04:37 PM) This will probably be his last start in a White Sox uniform. We keep saying that!
  15. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Aug 28, 2009 -> 04:07 PM) Actually, it was false, since this thread was created a day and a half before the one in PHT. Damn you, NSS. You and your dirty facts are making me look bad here.
  16. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Aug 28, 2009 -> 03:05 PM) Yeah, and it was reported here two days ago. Why do you feel the need to add your one-liner put-downs to every thread you don't like? How is that a put down? It was fact.
  17. QUOTE (knightni @ Aug 28, 2009 -> 03:40 PM) Steve... cmon man... What?
  18. QUOTE (rangercal @ Aug 28, 2009 -> 11:45 AM) that makes no sense How? People are arguing Pennington because once upon a time ago he had a good season. Chad Pennington sucks and has a noodle arm.
  19. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Aug 28, 2009 -> 01:05 PM) So Kaner pleads guilty to a misdemeanor, and gets a year of probation. ...and hopefully this story goes away.
  20. It is kind of funny that Nick Green is a more effective reliever than half of our bullpen.
  21. QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Aug 28, 2009 -> 10:03 AM) My personal feeling is that the majority of people who feel that way only do because it is where the Sawx play. My personal feeling is that you ignored my entire post, that gave reasoning. I wouldn't care if the Rockies played there, it is still stupid.
  22. Speaking of Fenway... Is it just me, or, historical neatness aside, is that not one of the worst ballparks in the Majors? It seems to reward balls that are hit poorly more than balls that are hit well. A rocket off the MONSTAH can result in a single, but a pop up can result in a homerun. A 302 foot ball that would normally be a foul about 40 feet before it reaches a normal fence can hook around Pesky's lame ass pole. I'm sorry, it's neat, it's different, but the anomalies it creates for the players who play there regularly and their stats is just annoying, and it seems like winning there is really a crapshoot.
  23. Well s***, if we're just looking at historically good QBs and comparing them, let's bring Joe Montana out of retirement and sign him up, then he's better than Phillip Rivers.
