Peavy had rotator cuff tendinitis
ESPN: Peavy: "I saw Dr. Romeo today and believe structurally everything is fine and intact and this is just that little minor blip on the radar. If I get on the mound by the end of the weekend that would really be the equivalent of just missing a start."

Peavy had rotator cuff tendinitis
QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Mar 23, 2011 -> 02:50 PM) There is good reason to be angry at him for never being healthy not picking a fight, but are you f***ing serious? Frustrated, yes. Disappointed, yes. Angry? You think this guy has done something to bring this on himself? Blame management for bringing him in, blame Cooper for not fixing his mechanics (if that's even realistic) but getting mad at him seems pretty irrational. No, not seems. Is.

QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Mar 3, 2011 -> 11:57 AM) Farley: Hey Joe, y-you remember that t-time when y-you hit that home run? Against Cleveland? Joe: Yeah Farley: That was awesome Also the game in which Uribe made an un-real throw to 1st to stop a run from scoring on an infield hit, and the game where AJ stomped on Boone rounding 3d.

Peavy had rotator cuff tendinitis
QUOTE (ptatc @ Mar 22, 2011 -> 12:45 PM) It wasn't so much that the muscles were aching from the flu. It was more that because of the flu he hadn't throw in a week and the muscles were weak and that not being able to hold down solid food for a few days his whole body was weak. Not a good recipe for a continued progressing rehab and strengthening program. But his shoulder has been sore since his first outing, and every outing since. Wouldn't that point to a bigger problem?

QUOTE (oldsox @ Mar 22, 2011 -> 07:47 AM) "I'm certainly not the guy the Sox thought they were trading for," .... This is why I'm not mad or disappointed with the guy. I think he feels guilty that he hasn't been able health-wise to live up to his end of the bargain and he's pushing himself. I respect him, especially in this day and age. I don't care if he's not ready until May or even early June, as long as he's 100%. Then lets see what he can do.
