Don't fear, TCQ will be hitting 3rd by June 1st. Book it.

Bobby Jenks to the Red Sox
I also don't think this is going to go over well with players, regardless of their feeling for Jenks one way or the other. This is Ozzie doing essentially what Oney was doing, making public a player's personal life and stuff that should've remained behind closed doors. To me it smacks of serious trust issues, not to mention maturity.

God I wish Ozzie knew how to take a high road, just once.

2011 AL Central Catch-All Thread
QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Feb 25, 2011 -> 11:54 AM) Bernstein mentioned the other day that Mauer still has not fully recovered from his offseason knee surgery, and also has recieved multiple lubrication injections in his knee as well as getting it drained. I had those injections on a surgically repaired knee - Synvisc. Great stuff. But it backfires pretty regularly too.

QUOTE (Brian @ Feb 21, 2011 -> 01:24 PM) Morneau just doesn't want to face Sale. Nice to see he hates the Sox as much as we do him:

Jake Peavy Thread
What's all this stuff about him "begging" the padre's pitching coaches to come look at his mechanics? Coop said he didn't have any mechanical issues brought on by his '09 ankle injury but Peavy says he did. Is there a riff? Can we say there is? (this s***'s getting boring)

QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Feb 21, 2011 -> 01:33 PM) Concussions happen in baseball due to HBP and punches and whatever else, but it should be mentioned that Corey Koskie ended up retiring 3-5 years earlier than he could have due to a concussion, and Jason LaRue was forced to retire this past year because of a concussion. Due to the apparent number of concussions Morneau has had, it's certainly possible that he may never really play again. As a baseball fan, I really hope it doesn't come to that, but it's certainly a possibility at this point. Me too. I want to beat the twins and I like to see them lose, but not because of this. He was having such a great season.

White Sox Off-Season Catch All Thread
QUOTE (SoxPride56 @ Feb 21, 2011 -> 02:13 PM) http://mlb.mlb.com/video/play.jsp?content_id=13117489 Video of Jake throwing BP. awesome, thank you! looks like he's throwing about as hard as he does in warmups. still a little recoil, though.

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Feb 21, 2011 -> 11:45 AM) Per Mark Gonzalez: good stuff. bet he hits the projected "bump in the road" when he adds velocity. Also, has anyone heard whether he's trying to remove that recoil he does with his right arm? Heard that it's what caused the lat injury.

Crede to retire
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Feb 20, 2011 -> 02:09 PM) Will always give him credit...hit the biggest regular season home run in White Sox history (IMO). agree. what a huge hit that was.

Miggy Cabrera DUI
Cabby's lucky the kitties don't train in Arizona. He would've been deported.

Miggy Cabrera DUI
These guys always skate -- Loiza, Dontrelle, Miggy (x2). Someone's lucky they didn't get killed by Miguel Cabrera at the wheel.

Miggy Cabrera DUI
I may be wrong, but unless he's a U.S. citizen, not just a resident, I think he can be deported for DUI. Which I endorse, at least until October.
