White Sox Video Coming Your Way....
Allright...I've got it: To go with the flow of the season I would start off with our hot streak accompanied by music by the Starship's "Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now". And we can build this thing together, stand in stone forever, nothing's gonna stop us now. And if this world runs out of lovers we'll still have eachother. Nothing's gonna stop us, nothing's gonna stop us now. Then as we go into a bit of a funk I would play "O-o-h Child" by the Five Stairsteps. Ooh-oo child, things are gonna get easier Ooh-oo child, things'll be brighter Some day, yeah We'll put it together and we'll get it all done Then as we roll into the playoffs I would either go back to "Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now" or else switch it to "Ain't No Stopping Us Now" by McFadden and Whitehead. Ain't no stoppin' us now We're on the move Ain't no stoppin' us now We've got the groove There's been so many things thats held us down But now it looks like things Are finally comin' around I know we've got, a long, long way to go And where we'll end up, I don't know But we won't let nothin' hold us back We're putting ourselves together We're polishing up our act If you felt we've been held down before I know you'll refuse to be held down anymore Well, don't you let nothing, nothing Stand in your way I want ya'll to listen, listen To every word I say, every word I say Ain't no stoppin' us now We're on the move Ain't no stoppin' us now We've got the groove

Even though we clinched...
QUOTE(Texsox @ Sep 30, 2005 -> 08:40 AM) I'd love to see Boston and Cleveland go 2-1 this weekend. A three-way tie would be so sweet, and fun to watch. Burn those arms. exACTly. This is what we should be cheering for. And since I don't like going into the playoffs on a losing note, I would put out crap the first two nights and then get them ready by playing them tough on Sunday night and hope to pull out a win. Then hope Boston wins a few in their series.

White Sox Video Coming Your Way....
Any video with lots of Holding out for a Hero and lots of Rally Crede will probably be one of the best videos of all time.

Are Boston and New York's pitchers bad enough that the Sox could score 4-6 runs on them consistently?

9-28 Game Thread
Just an FYI for future reference. The MLB record for most batters left on base in one 9 inning game is 20. Although 2nd is a handful of teams tied at 18. The record for a shutout is 16. I'm not sure about the other ones, but I think we could break the shutout record. It's important to set goals.

Who is going to be the first one to look up what the record of runners left on base in one game is? What do we think...Can't be over 20, can it?

QUOTE(Harry&JimmyRocked @ Sep 28, 2005 -> 06:45 PM) i hope no one actually believes that this team will play any different than they are right now in the playoffs. Nope. Nobody believes that. They should go home right now. Thanks for playing.

QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ Sep 28, 2005 -> 06:38 PM) Hmmm, I'm thinking I might need to find something else to do tonight instead of watching this again. But I know I will be glued to the TV for all damn 9 innings. I suppose that's better than being glued to a bunch of faceless strangers posting on a message board and watching a computer screen waiting for a dot to appear on a graphically designed baseball field.

Tonight I'm predicting we're down 2 going into the 9th. We're up. Konerko and Dye on the corners with 2 outs and Ozuna is coming up. Just before he takes a pitch...wait a second...what's that... they're playing Joe Crede's music!!! The Rally Crede comes out. Somebody here is posting We Need a Hero every other post and Crede goes yard. Sox Win.

I like it that this team FORCES you to have a sense of humor. Either that or shoot people.

QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 27, 2005 -> 09:12 PM) Are you kidding? We're the ones that control our own destiny the most, and if we win 3 games, we don't have to care about anything else....we're in! Well no s*** if we could win and them lose I'd take it. But statistically with everything being the same, psychologically I think it'd be better if we both lost as opposed to both winning.

You know, if I could choose between all of us losing or all of us winning, I'd take the losing because these guys have been so hot. This way it at least could get at their confidence a little bit and make them realize they're not invincible.

Guys don't worry. I've been watching a lot of baseball lately and normally when you the leadoff batter on late in a game you will end up not getting any runs.

Does it help the batter or the pitcher when the crowd is cheering really loud?

The scary thing about Boston and New York is how loaded those lineups are. It's not completely out of the question for them to come back and put 5, 6 runs on the board in an inning. I can see us holding them to 3 to 4 runs, but I'm not sure I see us scoring 4 or more runs consistently. Even against their staffs.
