Just an FYI for future reference. The MLB record for most batters left on base in one 9 inning game is 20. Although 2nd is a handful of teams tied at 18. The record for a shutout is 16. I'm not sure about the other ones, but I think we could break the shutout record. It's important to set goals.

Who is going to be the first one to look up what the record of runners left on base in one game is? What do we think...Can't be over 20, can it?

Guys don't worry. I've been watching a lot of baseball lately and normally when you the leadoff batter on late in a game you will end up not getting any runs.

Does it help the batter or the pitcher when the crowd is cheering really loud?

The scary thing about Boston and New York is how loaded those lineups are. It's not completely out of the question for them to come back and put 5, 6 runs on the board in an inning. I can see us holding them to 3 to 4 runs, but I'm not sure I see us scoring 4 or more runs consistently. Even against their staffs.
