  1. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Jan 1, 2007 -> 03:36 PM) WHY THE f*** DO TEAMS ALWAYS TRY AND THROW 80 YARD HAIL MARYS INSTEAD OF TRYING TO LATERAL ALL THE WAY DOWN FIELD? YOU ARENT GONNA f***ING THROW IT 80 YARDS ON A FLY. Sorry, just bugs the f*** out of me. Tipped passes, guys falling, shorter field to lateral. The lateral play for 80 friggin yards isn't a better play, you shouldn't be posting in caps about throwing a hail mary.
  2. QUOTE(The Critic @ Dec 31, 2006 -> 12:30 PM) Might drink a capful of NyQuil before I hit the sack. With any luck I'll be out after the Hawks game, or 11:00 at the latest. IMO, New Year's Eve is a worthless "holiday". The day after is far more important anyway, I never go out for New Years. I'm home tonight as well.
  3. As far as Illinois goes in their loss to Xavier, all i gotta say is they are better off without Dee and James.
  4. Good luck with that one.
  5. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Dec 30, 2006 -> 01:21 PM) You could play a girls high school team and you'd call it a dangerous game. And then you'd probly call the upset.
  6. QUOTE(Random @ Dec 30, 2006 -> 04:43 PM) playoff flirtation? they made the playoffs every year in the 80's and were in the stanley cup in 93. The Stadium was always sold out. It was louder in there than soldier field ever was. Im not saying its currently a hockey town, but 80's and early 90's, it definitely was... Hardest ticket in town at that time. Christ you couldn't steal one if you wanted to. Also, if playoff flirtation means making it to the Cup Finals, then i'm not familiar with the English language.
  7. QUOTE(SnB @ Dec 30, 2006 -> 10:28 PM) ^ prolly a mix of beer and champagne/wine I don't supply alcohol to underage people. You'll have Welch's Grape Juice, and you'll love it.
  8. QUOTE(Mr. Showtime @ Dec 29, 2006 -> 11:31 PM) I was at the game tonight in SEC 212. The 3rd period was really exciting. The first two periods weren't very pretty and the power play is still horrible. Did Bonda leave the game? I don't recall seeing him much, after he got banged up early in the 1st. EDIT: I'd like to add that I thought Boucher did a good job in his 2 periods of play, and that the crowd was great tonight. Peter Bondra injured his shoulder Friday vs. Boston and did not play in the 3rd period. Coach Denis Savard said that it "didn't look good" but didn't have any further details following the game. He'll be re-evaluated Saturday.
  9. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Dec 29, 2006 -> 11:12 PM) Aucoin and Cullimore are wastes of space. Aucoin -- the team captain -- barely plays 13 minutes tonight, while Cullimore, ON THE f***ING PK, tries to clear the puck through the center of the ice. By the end of the year, two of Vandermeer/Aucoin/Cullimore need to be gone, and Byfuglian and Barker need to be up here. Aucoin will be tough to move because of his salary, but he can sit in the press box every other game. Please, though, one of those three needs to be moved ASAP. It's sick watching 'em... slow as hell and not physical at all. Kudos to Wisniewski and Kuk for being our most consistent defenders this year. Well, not too much to add here. Only thing is I would give Keith some credit as well with Kuk and Wis - he logs the most ice time per game usually, and has 17 assists. He had a few bad games, but he really is a good defender and puck mover. Hell of a 3rd period effort tonight, but Thomas won it for them that period. 'The' save was unbelievable.
  10. He's picked it up a bit, but i just don't like him out there. Tuesday night, 3 penalties, what else is new. He's too damn slow and doesn't move the puck very well. Him and Vandy are both pretty poor at this point, and Aucoin isn't much better. I put all my faith in Keith, Kuk, Wis and Seabs, in that order.
  11. Yeah I read that on talkbhawks.com, wait no i didn't We still need to move a dman and fit Barker in here somewhere. Wouldn't mind getting some extra punch up front if the numbers work out.
  12. Keith and I will be at the game tonight, and we're dragging Justin and Steve with us, booya.
  13. QUOTE(SnB @ Dec 28, 2006 -> 01:13 PM) 3) i have slept with a few members of the board

  15. Of those Mike, I'd say these ones are the easiest: 5 t on a f 3 w on a t 8 t on an o
  16. Jewel-Osco, so you should be able to find them in a few places i would think.
  17. Random sox thing my mom found: Hero Decks presents South Side Edition Chicago They are playing cards. On each card is a drawing of a sox player along with their nickname and a little tidbit about them. The suits are divided into an era of players (spades are most current). Furthermore, each position matches a player from that position. Ace is Buehrle, 2 is AJ, 3 is Konerko, etc. Kind of cool. Also, the two jokers? Veeck and Hawk
  18. Only go here if you have a decent amount of free time on your hands...once you start, you probably won't want to stop for a while. http://intelligence-test.net/part1/ I can post the answers later if people want them. Note, a few of these are a bit ridiculous.
  19. Meh 1st period, excellent 2nd period, survival 3rd period. Got the job done, even the power play was solid. Cya there friday Keith, Steve, maybe Justin?
  20. I'm dragging Justin to the Hawks game tonight. I wonder if he knows SIU isn't playing?
  21. One of the things i received was a pair of nice slippers. First time i attempted to walk downstairs with them on our new wood stairs, fell down on the first stair and tumbled halfway down. it was essentially like walking down a hill of ice. Woke the whole house up at almost 3am. Good times.
  22. QUOTE(Mplssoxfan @ Dec 25, 2006 -> 05:03 AM) No offense, but Brennan has zero chance to win the Heisman. You sound like a typical voter who doesn't watch any football.
