  1. QUOTE(ilsox7 @ Dec 4, 2005 -> 05:23 PM) You should be happy then. You'll get to see Michigan kill a s***ty Nebraska team. I, for one, will try to find something better to do with my December 28th than watch another underachiever from Michigan take the field. It's all really a moot point anyways b/c college football in the last decade has gotten consistently less exciting to watch. Either go to a playoff and determine a true National Champion or go back to the original bowl system with 3 million bowl games on New Year's Day. Neither will happen, so who cares. Playoff? Worst. Idea. Ever.
  2. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Dec 4, 2005 -> 04:28 PM) Still funny ass s*** that ND gets in over Oregon when they are lower in the BCS rankings. I mean it is a BCS bowl they are going to afterall. Read the rules.
  3. Must have been loud after the final buzzer tonight. Sorry, but any chance to rip on Kansas is not going to go by the wayside. Same with Iowa and Duke.
  4. Yeah i'd rather just bum rides off people...oh wait...
  5. QUOTE(sox4lifeinPA @ Dec 2, 2005 -> 12:30 AM) see post #8 Ah crap i scrolled too fast, glad you mentioned it.
  6. Thing i always tell anyone after something like that is that the car can be replaced. So as long as you are OK, that's all that matters. Might be a hassle afterwards getting a new car, etc,, but those are just minor details.
  7. How has Aqua Teen Hunger Force not been mentioned yet...ridiculous.
  8. QUOTE(Jimbo's Drinker @ Nov 30, 2005 -> 07:15 PM) AFH is the king of loud college Bball. :rolly
  9. QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Dec 1, 2005 -> 12:57 PM) CHICAGO SKY BABY!! WHEN CAN I BUY SEASON TICKETS
  10. You guys know more about this than i do, but i think that if you did have a chicago board and put the hawks, bulls, bears, illini, depaul, uiuc...AND THE WNBA TEAM WE'RE GETTING...in there it would probably be an active board, but still easy enough to navigate through the teams and the threads.
  11. Or i was thinking you could even just have a "chicago sports" board, if that was easier. Of course, you don't want to turn this place into 50 boards...
  12. I think that's part of it. They also need to "shake up" the team, so this is how they've gone about doing so.
  13. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Nov 30, 2005 -> 11:30 PM) Iowa pulls off another win against a top 25 opponent. Thus far they are 2-1 against ranked teams and there only loss was to the #2 team in the country (a game they led for a lot of the way, until they faded due to foul trouble). The thing that impresses me the most about Iowa is that they have grinded out these wins and usually haven't had all 3 of there big 3 rolling in any one game (Haluska, Brunner, Horner). Horner is really pressing and Brunner was really shut down by Simmons for most of the game. In the end Brunner had some really key buckets as did Horner and Haluska. Iowa was able to grind it out in what was a rather ugly game by both teams. You could tell NCState tried to slow things down, but it was looking like a blowout in the early minutes of the game and than NC State shut things down and Iowa couldn't buy a bucket (and when they had a nice look in the paint, Simmons would find a way to block it). I'm impressed with the Hawkeyes thus far and I really think this tough non-conference schedule will help them, especially late in the season. I'm hoping the comittee will only be looking at there resume to decide just how high Iowa will be seeded. Iowa, IU, MSU, and Illinois are the 4 teams I see battling it out for the Big 10 title. I got to say that the team thats most impressed me is IU and what they have down without DJ White. Its a really strong year in the Big 10 (at least near the top of the Big 10) and I could see 1 or 2 big 10 teams making the final four and quite frankly all 4 of these teams in the Sweet Sixteen. Lots can happen between now and than and I'm gonna have to remind myself how Alfords teams tend to suck early in the big 10 schedule. Hopefully they can stay strong and tough though and continue to improve because defensively they are strong and offensively they have some weapons. They aren't incredibly deep though. I figured after Iowa shot 29.8% with 19 turnovers you'd be running and hiding /can't ever miss the chance to rip on Iowa as an Illini fan
  14. The Indy Star is reporting that it's Greasy's bday. And now greasy can pin this
  15. Great effort by IU. If they can get any kind of guard play, they can easily compete for the Big Ten title. It's too bad they couldn't get any sort of real lead in the 2nd half after bring it even or hit any of the big shots. Duke hit a bunch of theirs.
  16. Yeah no DJ, they also were out a guy. These team will be great inside but the guards came up short tonight, and Vaden. IU didn't capitalize on any breaks or chances to take the lead. f***.
  17. I'd put 3 guys on Marco and 2 on White and hope their guards miss open shots i guess
