QUOTE(Heads22 @ Nov 30, 2005 -> 05:07 PM) Heh. Come to think of it, I'd kill for a home-and-home with Illinois or Indiana. Speaking of which, when do they match up this year? Jan 17 there, Feb 19 here -

It seems like a high school stadium. It's really weak. -

QUOTE(SnB @ Nov 30, 2005 -> 02:00 PM) we won the big 10 and if we didn't f*** it up in the big 10 tourney, we would have made the nccaa tourney as well. Just saying, we're not an awful baseball school. We were before you got here

Good luck man. To be quite frank...f*** em up! And no, you don't have to guarantee wins or anything. If you lose it won't be an IU rip fest...unless you get blown out. -

QUOTE(Heads22 @ Nov 30, 2005 -> 04:33 PM) Cool. I have no idea how many are in Cyclone Alley. I know we fill up both sisdes behind the basket up to the concourse and for big games for one side it's up to the rafters. I do know student season tickets were sold out before the school year. Selling out with season tickets is a pretty good step. Sometimes the adults at AH sit on their hands too much. You have to give them a reason to cheer, instead of them cheering to try to get something going, etc. It's lame. I'll be interested to watch an ISU home game (if they are ever on espn or something) -

I'd say Zona/ILL game was just a touch behind the Wake game, only because there were more students screaming at the top of their lungs at that game (and less people who stumbled upon tickets through connections, etc). But that was extremely loud as well, agreed. The ILL INI between 4th quarter and OT was nuts. But that all star game anthem was just ridiculous. And i was 7. -

Heads...there were about 1,500 people in Krush last year. However, there's another, maybe, 4,000 students who are in the regular stands and aren't part of Krush. And Greasy and whoever else...since i've experienced both, the Wake game tip off was louder than Frank coming out or any other thing at that game. Again, a closed environment will do that. Only thing that i've been at that's been louder than the wake game? 1991 NHL All Star game National Anthem. -

Looks like the line right now is Duke -6 -
Boo that

Tiger Woods is a solid choice indeed I'd definitely get NCAA 06 (football) or Madden 06, depending on which game you think you'd enjoy more. Both are great games.

Looks like we'll have to do our best job creating Illinois' stadium

So the Hawks and Rockets went the same way in the 2nd half that they did in the 1st half for a bit. They had to stop the game to figure it all out or what not. Saw this on SC, kinda funny that no one figured this out before the half started.

Well Dee just shot way too much tonight - and without a hot hand. Augie and Pruitt had 8 combined shots i think, and made 6. This pretty much explains itself... -
QUOTE(daa84 @ Nov 29, 2005 -> 11:11 PM) i saw sports center and i swear they said 5 year 65 mil Yeah it was a typo, i changed it afterwards.

SC just ended reporting that Konerko rejected 5/65 from Baltimore. FWIW

QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Nov 29, 2005 -> 11:03 PM) Some positives about that Illinois game are that Jamar Smith is a spectacular shooter and better defender than I thought, and Brian Randle could be excellent if he'd stop taking stupid fouls. Also, IMO Shaun Pruitt is under utilized. Agreed, agreed, and agreed. Randle could have helped put a stop to that run in the 2nd half that UNC had, that's for sure. -

QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Nov 29, 2005 -> 11:04 PM) Well to be fair, he's worrying about his career. I'm pretty sure if we were in the same position, we would be worrying about our future too. But we don't have to all talk about Dee in that respect, we can care about the here and now, you know. I hate how everything that fans talk about relates to 'draft potential' -

QUOTE(fathom @ Nov 29, 2005 -> 10:48 PM) Krush...you seem like an intelligent Illini fan. You know how a lot of the posters on the illiniboard seem to mention Dee's NBA career every other hour. Congrats on the win though...and congrats on getting Gordon. Yeah i know what you mean with that. I don't just look at college basketball players and try to figure out how good they'll be in the pros. The same goes for college football players and the NFL. When i tell people i think Bush should win the Heisman, some have said that Young/Leinart will be a better pro. Guess what, I DON'T CARE. And furthermore, last time i checked, "nfl potential" wasn't a factor in the Heisman voting. When Crouch won it for Nebraska, he deserved it. It doesn't matter what he did in the NFL. I want Dee to be a good college player and help the Illini win some games, not just develop into an NBA point guard. And right now if his concern is the NBA... -

QUOTE(fathom @ Nov 29, 2005 -> 10:43 PM) Dee does a TERRIBLE job at squaring up for shots coming off of the dribble. He's a very good shooter when he gets the ball passed to him and can get his body underneath him. However, when he pulls up off the dribble, there aren't many worse shooters than he is. He was fading away on a lot of his shots tonight also. I've never thought that he projects as a NBA player, and everyone should be more concerned with how he does for the Illini than what this means for his NBA career. I am, and i was for Deron and Luther. I honestly could care less what these guys do in the NBA (i mean i'd rather have them be successful, but you know what i mean) And you are correct about his shooting. But right now, he can't even make the open shots when he does have time to get his body under him. I don't understand it.
