1) I like how they still managed to take 20 3 pointers 2) This quote is just awesome: "The ball wasn't going in the basket," Scott said. -
QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Dec 14, 2005 -> 10:20 PM) Is this the whining and pouting thread? Cool, I'm down. I want my Chris Young back! And my Gio, too! And my guess is that for the first time, a prospect that KW traded this offseason will be very good -- be it Haigwood, Gio, or Young. Gosh, does it hurt losing Young... Go punch a locker

QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Dec 14, 2005 -> 05:55 PM) Remove Crede/Blalock from the equation and you're onto something. This is exactly what i was thinking. I think Blalock is terribly overrated (hell, the road numbers will tell you that)

Anyone catch that Hawks overtime win?
IlliniKrush replied to jenksd's topic in Alex’s Olde Tyme Sports Pub
That goal from behind the goal line was terrible. Also, he could have poke checked on that breakaway goal...and i was actually thinking this as the play happened. It was so obvious that he should have done that. Would have been an easy play i think. -
Real happy to hear the good news. Let's just hope it's downhill from here and things keep getting better. What a relief this is for everyone involved

QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Dec 13, 2005 -> 03:10 PM) From this casual observer. There appears to be far more people in attendence when it's held in Chicago. It looked pretty desolate last time it was in Indy Obviously there are a ton of Illinois grads in Chicago, but from what i hear there is a pretty good group of Iowa, Michigan, and Ohio St grads as well...maybe a few more schools but i'm really not too sure. -

General Manager Dale Tallon announced today that the Blackhawks have recalled defenseman Michal Barinka from the Norfolk Admirals of the American Hockey League. Defenseman Todd Simpson, who injured his lower leg on Sunday in Atlanta, has returned home to Chicago for further examination. Barinka, 21, has been playing for the Norfolk in the AHL where he appeared in 25 games scoring 1 goal and adding 6 assists for 7 points with 48 penalty minutes. This will be the second time Barinka has been recalled by the Blackhawks. He appeared in 9 games for the Blackhawks in the 2003-04 season and had 1 assist and 6 penalty minutes. Barinka was the Blackhawks’ 2nd round pick (59th overall) in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft. Last season, Barinka played at Norfolk appearing in 59 games scoring 1 goal and 10 assists for 11 points with 77 penalty minutes. Todd Simpson returned to Chicago on Monday afternoon after injuring his lower leg in Sunday’s game against the Thrashers in Atlanta. He will be evaluated by team doctors later this week. -
haha, that was awesome. He signed it while it was still on top of whoever that was.

It was good to finally win a shootout. And yeah Tony the shootout isn't awesome, but we all knew it was going to be here after the lockout. At least it doesn't take away a point from either side, it just makes sure someone gets the W. So i just live with it and enjoy some of the nasty breakaway moves these guys have. -

Just imagine the orgasms that Red Sawx fans would have over Schilling AND Clemens. I wouldn't be able to take it.
