Morrison ran out of steam at the end, he didn't score for quite a long time at the end of the 2nd half. It didn't help that Gonzaga's other bigs didn't have very good games. Memphis is a damn good team. Washington can do everything. -

QUOTE(knightni @ Dec 27, 2005 -> 12:29 AM) You think that's bad... I have to play the fantasy championship game next week with my 2 QBs being Eli Manning and Kyle Boller. Why is the championship game week 17? That's terrible. It has to be 16, at latest. I'm a fan of no playoffs, however. -
I stand corrected. As Zherdev skated past his own blue line, i said aloud "don't let him get over the line with speed." Sure enough he does, Barnaby stands there and waves at him with a stick, and Vandermeer plays the puck by trying to stop it with his skate instead of just taking the body, and Zherdev scores. If Vandermeer just puts an arm into him at some point, he doesn't get to the net and the Hawks win. A well coached high school hockey team could have stopped him on that rush, no joke. Unbelievable.

Well if you are going to talk about which is the better conference, using depth is a better argument than which conference has the best team. -

QUOTE(Spiff @ Dec 26, 2005 -> 04:06 PM) Then watch the ACC Maybe they can get as many teams into the final four as the big ten does this year -
f*** this team. Seriously, this is a joke.

My girlfriend got me two framed things: -Very large framed photo of the pre-game ceremony before game 1 of the world series. It's taken from the upper deck behind the plate and the flag is stretched across the outfields with both teams along the base lines. It's really sweet. -A picture taken near Buckingham fountain that has the fountain on the left side and the building with "Sox win" on the building on the right.

New sprint phone with blue tooth hands free thingy. The phone has TV capabilities and stuff, should be sweet.

#8 Gonzaga vs #4 Memphis Tuesday at 6:00 CT on ESPN2 I'd make sure to tune into this one. From the teams i've seen play so far, i think UConn is the best team i've seen...and i'd have to put Memphis 2nd. -
I wonder what would be on our end of this deal...

What a great game to listen to on the radio. Unbelievable.

I think one of the easiest things to do, and something that probably everyone can do to some degree, is to go through your closet and get rid of things you don't wear often or flat out don't need. I try to do this every few months. This is something that you could do even if you don't have any more money to give or time to spend. I think if everyone fills up one box and donates it, it would help out a great deal.

Christmas Eve i'm going with to my girlfriend's aunt's house to celebrate with her family. I hope at some point to make it over for the party for my dad's side of the family. Christmas day with my mom's side of the family. I'm real excited this year because we always have this "christmas contest." This year's game is based around the white sox. But yeah, i'm still trying to figure out the plans with the girlfriend for this weekend. The whole visiting both families thing on the same day makes me feel like i'm an old married man already.

My take on randle... Sure he's super athletic, and that's going to help on defense. He will be able to take on some tough athletic guys on the other side of the ball. However, i've noticed this year that he doesn't move his feet enough on defense. I mean, i think the quickness is there, but he always reaches instead of moving his feet. I don't really understand it. If he keeps doing that, he'll be in foul trouble in Big Ten play so much that he won't be much of a factor and we'll have to rely on guys like Warren Carter for more minutes. That would not be good. He really has to stop getting cheap, lazy fouls. On offense he's going to be good around the basket like doctor said...with tips, dunks, etc. Right now i don't know how good his grasp of the offense is. I'm at many of the games, and i often hear Bruce yelling (hell who doesn't) "MOVE BRIAN!!!!" I don't think Brian has a real good idea of what he needs to be doing on each possession. He also seems to get the ball pretty far away from the basket (3 pt line) too much. I don't think he's a guy that can take the ball in from that far. Also, since he hasn't proven he can hit any sort of outside shot (not necessarily 3's obviously), it's easier to defend him when he does get the ball. His shooting has to improve. I don't expect him to be a great shooter, but he can't be such a hack shooting or he's never going to get any respect from the defense on the outside. It will be much too easy to defend him. -

If the Hawks have to consistently play without Ruutu, Aucoin, and Daze, they aren't going to do much of anything this year. It's unfortunate.

QUOTE(SnB @ Dec 15, 2005 -> 08:29 PM) this is a must, the one we have now is awful. If you look at other parks, they have things like what the situation is during other games (men on base, etc.). We can't even keep up with the amount of runs scored. It's not even the board so much as it's the guy/guys working it. It's updated about every 1.5 innings, and every game is updated at the same time. They also fail to change pitchers a lot, which led me and my friends to think Morris was throwing in the 11th inning in LA once. It's downright pathetic. -
QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Dec 15, 2005 -> 09:29 AM) http://www.deadspin.com/sports/nba/watch-y...city-143239.php During March of my Senior year of high school, 2002, i went to go copy some ncaa brackets at the library because we had a sub in my history class. Well i got caught by a hall monitor without a pass. I told her that my teacher said i could go to the office or something, and asked if i could bring a note back. She said sure, just fill out this detention slip first, then if you bring back a note i'll rip this up. So when i went to fill out the detention slip, i had to think of a fake name and number immediately. The first one that came to my head - Kevin McDougal. Hooray for me watching the XFL.

What's better than taking finals during finals week? Having your car broken into during finals week.
