  1. OSU game worries me a bit in that it won't be a rollover game. It's their national championship game, they gave us a tough time there last year, and that team has potential. If Dials is producing and Sullinger is shooting, etc, that team can be pretty good. If we don't play a pretty good game, we could easily lose it. That being said, i think our guys will realize OSU will be jacked, realize it's for the undefeated regular season, think about how close it was last year, and come out and play one hell of a game. I'm pretty confident we will win, only way we lose is if we play somewhat bad. OSU can't beat us at the top of our game.
  2. Carmelo was much more equipped to leave than Dee. And he won a national championship. That's a terrible comparison.
  3. QUOTE(Palehosefan @ Feb 21, 2005 -> 10:26 PM) OOOOK, I was going to remove my avatar all together because sound won't stop, and apparently someone else did it for me. Thats kind of scary. Just because you keep the sound off on your computer doesn't mean the rest of soxtalk should have to. It was rightly removed by SS2k5.
  4. BTW, whoever has the signature that is making noise, that's annoying as f***, please get rid of it.
  5. Hopefully Kansas drops their third straight... at Oklahoma right now on ESPN
  6. I can't believe this is a 4 page thread.... Until he actually declares, these "updates" aren't really updates whatsoever
  7. Steve i'll probly go reserve it later today or early tomorrow. Let me know if you hear anything else.
  8. QUOTE(Rex Hudler @ Feb 19, 2005 -> 09:34 PM) I am not a hockey fan, but this will probably be what is best for the game in the long run. The owners have to be sure not to give in now, like the baseball owners did in 1995. Losing the 1994 WS was a total waste because the owners caved in and nothing got fixed. The NHL would be smart to learn from baseball's mistake and make sure they follow through. I don't see the NHL player's union holding together like the MLB players did, however. While i agree with you Rex, and as an avid hockey fan i agree a lot of things need to be fixed and this can actually be "good" for the game, the problem is that non-hockey to casual hockey fans just see this as "greedy owners and players" canceling a season. It's not going to help get any more revenue, which is what the NHL needs badly right now. So initially this could be brutal, but in the long run, if they fix it correctly, hopefully it turns out well, and i can look back and not be as pissed off at a canceled season as i am right now.
  9. I'd say there were almost 4,000 fans there, sure. Every section had some orange in it, and it was especially orange near the tops of all the sections. I was surprised there was that much orange outside our Krush section.
  10. Just got back from Iowa City. I don't know if anyone could tell on TV, but we missed the first 2:30 of the game. All 3 of our buses were on campus at 10:30, and they all got lost and we didn't get there til 11:15 and the game had started. We gave em hell from then on, though, hopefully you could hear it on TV. There was a lot of orange besides us there. It was pretty sweet. Good to grind out another win on the road like that. I told my friends on the way there that the only way they beat us was if Haluska or Horner got hot, and look what happened...they both started to hit some shots, especially Haluska. Also, the refing was pretty shady today. Have fun in the NIT, Jason... ILL INI
  11. Orange Krush leaving for Iowa.... Man it's early Enjoy the game
  12. Goalie pad should be cut down just a tiny bit, but no way should they have more curves on the sticks. The sticks are already lethal enough, trust me on this one. You don't need hockey to get out of hand.
  13. Not positive on that, but that seems about right. It'd be wicked gay if it was 2 pts for a shootout win and 0 for a shootout loss. NHL needs more fans, period. I've always been against shootouts. Call me a hockey purist; whatever. I probly feel that way because i've played the game since i've been 5. Bottom line, shootouts will get more fans watching. There's something you can build upon once you have more viewers.
  14. While i'm not a fan of shootouts, i agree 100% to use them. We need to draw more "non-hockey" fans, and shootouts in the regular season would do it very well. As long as they don't f*** with the playoffs i'm fine with it. Also, FINALLY they went back to tag up offsides.
