  5. You don't call a hit and run when a pitcher on the mound is making his major league debut and just gave up a rope single on his second pitch. There are also no outs. That's just stupid baseball, period. That's not small ball, that's not ozzie ball, that's just stupid. There is a fine line between aggressiveness and stupidity. You simply cannot throw a blanket phrase over every move Ozzie makes that looks like "small ball" instead of waiting for the three run home run. There is a time and place for hit and runs, bunts, steals, etc. Not every damn one he calls is going to work, i realize that, but you have to call for them in the right situation. You can't excuse Ozzie for every "aggressive" move he makes, ignoring the situation, just because he is "trying to make something happen". That pitcher is still thanking Ozzie for the free out. I wish Irod was behind the plate so we didn't even try to pull crap like that.
  6. Maybe i'm in the minority, but i'm not a fan of giving up anyone decent just to get "benson doesn't go to minnesota" in return. That doesn't improve our ballclub. If it's a nothing prospect, then fine. But not a fan.
  7. I've almost had it with his stupid managing decisions. This isn't hard baseball, and it's not even people second guessing him - i've been first guessing him a lot lately. This crap is getting old, fast. Ozzieball? Please
  8. I dont think jerry manuel wouldve given a no name pitcher making his major league debut who had given up a hit on his second career pitch his first out on a hit and run CS Not a good baseball move there Ozzie whatsoever
  9. I heard today that Terrell had a real s***ty day at camp
  10. It's times like these that i wish we had a stacked farm system. Like Jason said weeks back, trading prospects is a good way of utilizing your farm system. That's one of the reasons you try to build it up as solid as you can.
  11. Read said "several arrests have been made but some of these women are still at large." Nice
  12. Welcome to Soxtalk man As far as "further away", it depends what you mean, because if we acquire RJ there is no way we don't win the division, at the very least.
  13. Keith, don't count Babchuck out. He can always win a job in camp by outplaying someone, if he's given a fair shot. I'm not too worried about it.
  14. 1994 killed baseball in Montreal
  15. I still have hope, because i think both sides realize that not having a season could lead to absolutely catastrophic times for the NHL. Like, unimaginable lows.
