  1. That works just fine by me, that's excellent Thanks for the offer as well, flippedout
  2. There is plenty of blame, yes, but not every owner threw out these ridiculous contracts. It's a few of them that have driven prices up cough cough Rangers cough cough. A few rich owners have dictated market prices. It only takes a few.
  3. 8 million productive?
  4. I can't believe you just used Hawks and crap in the same sentence...
  5. Agreed. I don't think there's any way in hell he gets traded at the deadline if we are still sitting in first place. Reinsdorf can only do so much, i wish everyone knew the circumstances surrounding this. Instead everyone is just going to say "they refused to pay him, this team sucks"
  6. Oh, i've been with the owners on the labor issues for quite some time now. The players don't understand the reality of the situation at hand at all.
  7. Wow. On espn1000 they just said that Cosby reruns got higher ratings than Saturday's game. And they weren't joking around. America really is stupid. This just seals it.
  8. Maybe the first year he wasn't a scorer, but if i can recall right he's had a lot of points every year except maybe his first or second in the NHL.
  9. Iginla was/is a scorer before he was/is a 'fighter'
  10. Don't speak too soon...he could move still
  11. I think Garcia has the potential to be dominating in a playoff game, but at the same time could be a complete flop. I think Glavine is more consistent and you'll get a good start out of him, maybe not a dominating performance. So the risk/reward with Garcia is higher, especially since he's a power pitcher. That being said, i'll take either of them right now, with a lean towards Garcia.
  12. I was talking about Iggy and Lecavalier, not the teams...i should have been more clear. And Iggy has just made that part of his game, only cuz it's the playoffs, i believe. I don't think he's going to do this all the time now, just because if nothing else, him off the ice for 5+ minutes a fight isn't ideal.
  13. Talk about your all time backfires... I didn't make the name because i loved him, just made it cuz i thought it was clever and had to do with our new impact player. LOL
  14. It's neither of their games to a degree. The fight should have gotten more of a response out of vinny's teammates than it did. The fight wasn't really for himself. But yeah, the two teams play different styles for the most part, but tampa is playing more physical than they have been.
  15. Easier said than done with that contract, of course I wouldn't mind acquiring some bullpen help. When it comes to the playoffs, you can never have too much pitching.
  16. I'd say there's a snowball's chance in hell of that happening. They will compete with a healthy squad. They are hanging in as is. Let's say they did fall completely out and were looking to deal. Do you think they'd trade someone of Wood's status to the other side of town?
  17. If you had to compare him to one major league player, who would it be? Also, how did you catch that game? I really wish i could catch more college games before the World Series...and the only team i could watch back at school was mediocre at best Illini.
  18. Who's up for the challenge? If anyone has any free time, go for it. My current signature is irritating me at this point...that's when you know it's bad.
  19. Who would be a better playoff pitcher, Garcia (power) or Glavine (finesse)? Something to think about.
  20. I'm starting to read up on the draft, Jason, and reading this board is helping a lot as well. I wish more college was on TV...i caught a bunch of the Big 12 Championship tournament on FSN this weekend, that was very fun to watch. Gammons has this to say in his article from yesterday: The Padres may now go for Florida State's Stephen Drew as Khalil Greene's eventual double-play partner, but if they should turn back to Jared Weaver, here is one man's opinion -- 15 years from now, Vanderbilt left-hander Jeremy Sowers will have more major-league victories than any of the high-ceiling righties, from Weaver to Old Dominion's Justin Verlander to Rice's Jeff Niemann and Phil Humber What's your opinion of Sowers? Of course, i don't expect you to agree with him, just want to see what you know. Gammons has some real terrible opinions a lot of the time
  21. The Vinny/Iginla fight was the best i've seen in years, not because of the actual punches, but just because of the stage, the people involved, the time, and the symbolism it provided for the series.
  22. As long as Vinny plays next game, i don't think he'll go that far. If he's out, watch out. But i assume he'll be playing, no doubt.
  23. They will wait til the end of the game. There's been a boatloads of scrums at the end of games this playoffs, more than i can ever recall seeing. Roy won't take on Niemenen most likely anyway, it will be Ference/Simon
