It's move to please the fans, big deal we'll fill more seats to see Ozzie manage, whether or not he actually does anything productive is another point. Last time i checked Gaston has way more experiencing managing and two rings to prove it (yes ozzie has one but that's mckeon's doing). I don't care about the fans sentimental choice, i wan't someone in here that can win ballgames, and i thought that would be Cito Gaston rather than Ozzie Guillen.

The original announcement date was set for today...but now i'm hearing it's going to be tomorrow, or possibly even further into the week. Who knows at this point. If he knows where he's going, you'd think he'd just announce today...if it's later in the week, i wonder what factors are effecting his decision

I think the crowd was something like 700. I was there behind the hoop on the floor. I left the Illinois/Minnesota football game early in order to ensure a spot in the gym - as did hundreds of others. He looked pretty good, his passing was solid. More than just Livingston though, everyone looked pretty good today. They weren't playing as intense defense as they could, but guys were hitting open shots all over the place, and from way out. Dee Brown basically didn't miss from 3 pt range. The only guy who sucked was Ingram, he can't hit an open shot to save his life. Livingston looks like a pretty good kid and i was encouraged by what his parents said after the event. It was definitely exciting with a lot of us Krush there making noise and pumping energy into the gym. However, i'm sure he gets that fanfare everywhere, so it's gonna come down to which coach he prefers and how he gets along with the guys on the team, stuff like that. He seemed to be enjoyin himself with the likes of Dee, Deron, Head, etc. Btw, danman, i don't think Shaun Livingston knows that Northwestern has a basketball team.
