    Worrying

Probly a pretty solid prediction. It's not an easy decision to make either way. Koskie adds some sb's too, but i do like the player gibbons is. i think he's very underrated.
  2. That lineup yesterday was garbage. Hell, why didn't we call up guys from AAA so we could sit our entire starting lineup? That was ridiculous. It's sunday, let's hope Buehrle throws a shutout or we concede.
  3. Hawks fans stick together like....like a fat kid on a Smartie. How's that? I feel your pain the doomed teams of the NHL such as the Mighty Hawks(Wirtz) My B's(Jacobs) have very little light at the end of that long dark tunnel. That's pretty good man Well, at least the B's have made somewhat of an effort to rebuild and go young. And they have some disgusting talent over there. Now, if only you had a damn goalie The Hawks, while claiming they are rebuilding, were the OLDEST TEAM in the league last year. That's not rebuilding. That's signing bulls*** fillins to possible sneak into the 8 spot and make bank for Wirtz pocket And then the whole Ruutu thing...don't get me started This season is going to be a train wreck. Play all the youngsters, i don't care if they lose 50 games doing it. I'm sick of 30 something journeymen, who aren't going to be here if and when we win something, taking time away from youngsters with futures and going through the motions.

I would keep Mulder, ARod, Beltran, Boone, Gibbons, Loaiza, Buehrle. It may come down to 2 of Koskie, Loaiza, Gibbons. Koskie is damn good for a 3b in the american league, assuming he's healthy.
  5. Steff - the link doesn't work - for me at least I'd either stay or leave now, regardless of what happens. Whether he raped her or not doesn't take away from the fact that he committed adultery, plain and simple. I don't see how she can say "oh, you didn't rape her, i love you so much baby" and then be happily ever after That being said, she is with Kobe Bryant. That's worth something ($$$)

I've never heard of them selling standing room only...but wouldn't you rather being standing in the outfield then sitting in the upper deck? It kind of stinks that fans holding UD tickets can't walk around the lower concourse anymore. I used to do that all the time - and then sneak into nice seats.

Definitely. I was 27th row for one of the cubs sox games, but right behind the plate. I'll take that over down the line by the pole any day.
  8. 1. Playing OSU in the cold AT HOME is nowhere near 50 times tougher than playing FSU at their place. Come on already with your ridiculous fluff. Anyone can see the ridiculous nature of that comment. Home field advantage, IMO, is biggest in college football. FSU has one of the biggest home field advantages in football, as does OSU. We were expected to get killed by FSU. You were favored to win 2. We didn't deserve to be in the Fiesta Bowl against Oregon St. I'll give ya that. But we deserved the BCS bowl last year after the schedule we played and the results we showed (way more than 3 tough games...we were supposed to get beat by purdue, michigan, air force, fsu, usc to name a few) 3. Florida State actually played better than they had all year in that Sugar Bowl, considering they had a WR at QB basically the whole game. They got beat by a better team, Georgia. I don't think that "proves" anything. 4. The BCS calculation does NOT SOLELY INCORPORATE TOP 25 TEAMS INTO SCHEDULE STRENGTH. It counts wins and losses for every team you've played (66%) and the win/loss record of those teams opponents (33%). Plus, you now only get bonuses for beating a team in the top 15, not 25. So, if you are going to talk crap about schedules and the BCS, at least know what the hell is going on. Top 25 teams played does not determine strength of schedule, whether on BCS or in an argument such as this (if you play the "26" team, that counts the same as playing the 117 team?) 5. Michigan's non conference schedule is crap. Sure, Central Michigan is better than Rutgers....but is Indiana or Northwestern any more of a threat? Sure they are still better than Rutgers. Michigan could beat Indiana and NW by 30 and Rutgers by 35, maybe. None of em are losable games 6. I guess you missed out on last year's "the shirt" entitled RETURN TO GLORY 7. When exactly are the Michigan glory days? 8. So, Notre Dame is the winningest football program of all time...thanks for bringing up that michigan has more wins (cuz they've played more games) 9. Who's schedule is tougher this year, michigan or ND? Get a clue kid.

I always wondered this, and would assume yes with all the outfield deck room they have - Do the Sox sell standing room only? Is there a limit on it? Just curious.
  10. our banners (notice, plural, as in 3 in 7 years) are still so new! This guarentees a Heather posting now. I can cover for Heather in her absence right now. Hawks fans stick together like....like....finish that off yourself i guess cwsox i gotta tell ya i'm taking responsibility for the wings 1st round sweep See my Hawks beat you guys in the last game of the year - thereby making you face the almighty Ducks...and we all know what happened there (and if you don't they got SWEPT). Without that victory by the almighty Hawks, you may have been on your way to another Cup. So i'd like to take full credit as a Hawks fan for successfully eliminating the Wings from the 2003 playoffs. That's about all the made up ammunition i have right now, please don't counter with "hey how's chelios doing" or "don't you just hate how we lose federov but then go get hatcher and whitney and get hasek out of retirement" or "don't you hate how our 3rd goaltender (legace) is better than your number one goalie" Thanks
  11. Bourque won a cup...if that's any consolation

he can get up and walk around and even join CLee behind the wall for a smoke - but unless the game is two times KochProof™ (which equals what used to RickWhiteProof™) I don't want to see him in- which means I'd love to see him play cuz we'd be ahead by 12 at that point Go Sox! lmfao
  13. no HEY!!!! :fyou Greedy guys up in Motown, can you lend us a cup banner? Our 1961 banner is quite dusty at this point, and the color is fading
  14. And as long as we are dreaming, can God ccok up something for the Hawks? Did someone say Hawks? With God in the same sentence? That's the only thing that would be better than a Sox World Series

I expect a rowdy crowd. I can't wait for the video intro before the Sox take the field...I think everyone is going to be going nuts. The Royals are in for a long night. I'll be on my feet rarin to go during that Hell, i always am....and sometimes i'm one of about 50 people in the entire upper deck on their feet - Get a lot of strange looks for that, but oh well. It's tradition for me.
  16. (Geez Heather's writing is horrible...i hope for our sake he doesn't post that, ugh) Who said that???????????????
  17. I have witnessed a Bears superbowl (i was 2)..... Anyway, i'm a much bigger baseball fan and white sox fan. Since i'm a much much much bigger college football fan than NFL fan, a lot of teams come before my support of the Bears. Plus, Bears fans are for the most part, idiots. I can say this with some substance behind it as i was at every Bears game last year in Champaign. Very uneducated people to say the least. College crowds are much more intelligent. Sure they (bears fans) are loud; but they know next to nothing about football and there are way way way too many drunks there. Which i guess turns this post off on a tangent. Being a Bears fan is a total image thing, you want to be looked at as cool and a tough guy and there's a hard nose attitude behind it. It's all bullcrap. That's just my feeling. Hell, being a Sox fan, that sure as hell isn't for the image (otherwise we'd be Cubs fans). Sox fans are very loyal to their team, knowledgeable, dedicated, et al. Moving on - You could say Sox fans deserve a World Series more than Bears fans deserve a Super Bowl Title - again, this is just my opinion. I think it would be more rewarding for myself and all other Sox/Bears fans if the Sox won the Series.

Damn, that's almost to the foul pole...and there's not even a walkup crowd yet. This is gonna be unbelievable I just hope the crowd does something. 40,000+ bodies doesn't do anything inherently. Make some noise, get into the game from the start. This team seems to play well in front of large, energetic crowds. And no wave damn it :puke
  19. I think on my baseball road trip this past spring in 10 days we hit up about 6 different waffle houses.
  20. For all monday half price games you can buy the tickets in advance and still get half price. Tuesday is a day of game only thing because of the pepsi can
  21. f*** the Tarnished Dome...........Assclown :fyou It looks like i lose the argument on that solid point Grow up man, we aren't 10 (at least i don't think so)...if you hate ND, i can live with that. But if you are going to talk crap make it more than "f*** the tarnished dome" and back it up with pure fluff thoughts. Ridiculous

    Worrying

Oh and another thing. What in the hell do i do with this guy in an AL only league that allows 7 keepers? I have Buehrle and Mulder, ARod, Beltran, Koskie, Boone, Gibbons, Ibanez, Loaiza....and i can call up Harden next year to solidify the rotation...pretty tough call Don't mean to turn this into a fantasy baseball topic at all, but this is one of the harder players to predict for next year.

    Worrying

I think most of us agree Loaiza will not pitch at this super elite level next year. That being said, if he pitches anywhere close to that (read, if he's an above average to good starter), he is definitely worth keeping. I think it's a no brainer. Going into next year i won't be expecting another Cy Youngesque performance, but this much we know from watching him: He's learned how to pitch, he has command of his stuff, good movement...these things won't just disappear over the winter IMO. Yes, he probly won't be as good next year (but who knows), but he'd have to do a 180 and then some in order for him not to validate the sox picking him up.
  24. I doubt that's correct just because i got two pretty good upper deck box seats right by third base just last night. There's gotta be more than that left in the upper deck is my guess.
